The Singapore to New York on the A350 900 was the most comfortable long haul flight I have been on. The 900ULRs have been doing this service for 4 years without issue, big credit to SIA and Airbus. I understand SIA is upgrading the engines and hopefully freshing up the cabin.. I understand that Qantas have picked wisely for their own long haul equipment.
Have had the pleasure of flying A350/A380/777/787. Upper deck A380 is uncanny - you can hear conversations across the cabin during takeoff. But a recent long-haul LHR -> CPT on an A350-1000 was exceptionally quiet. Slept for 6 hours (not in Business Class)!
I have recently been in both going to Europe with different Airline. No problem with 787 but In the A350 I noticed how nice the plane “felt” as we walked in. Perhaps the plane was newer? Our seats felt more comfortable and bigger in coach, or was it just an impression? I remember telling my wife: this is a nice plane!
We have flown on the A350 with several long haul flights on different routes and airlines. It is our aircraft of choice , being quieter, smoother and with wider seats making it superior to Boeing equivalents in every way.
A350 to me is definitely a great aircraft. Had pleasure of flying on A350-1000 last year on Virgin Atlantic. However still years to achieve a legendary status
I flew on an A350 -1000 for the first time this year, on a 15 hour flight from Doha to DFW. Not as much room in the seats as an A350, and I thought it sounded quite noisy in the cabin. Overall, a bit underwhelming, to be honest.
@charlestoast4051 What class was it. I was in Premium Economy and was very nice. In last 3 years I've been on B787-9 in 2022, A350-1000 in 2023 and recently A330 900NEO. All on Virgin Atlantic. Out of the 3 personally for me liked A330 900NEO
Have flown on a A350 and also A380 /777/787/747 but for long haul i have never been so confertable as on the A350 and i would pay a premium if given the option to fly on a A350 and also A380 over any boeing aircraft the comfert as a passanger is much higher (side note the comfert is missing on the A321 Neo)
I haven't flown both, so I cannot comment. Logically the Boeing planes will solve their problems in time and be chosen, simply as they can be supplied more quickly. One over there other, probably end up as personal preference, availability of flights and airline ground side operations.
The A350 is just so much nicer inside than the B787. More space (height and width), bigger overhead bins, quieter, better restrooms. No competition at all
I was just flying on the B787-9. I liked it. The sound volume is better and the entertaiment system was better compared to the B747-8i of Lufthansa. I have been flown on B777-300ER and A340-300. But sadly I have not tryed the A350-900 yet. There is one point, that I do not like about the B787-9. The window blends are not so good, like the older ones. It is pretty hot if you are on the sundside of the aircraft and it is not that dark like with the old window blends.
I've been love to heard about "Just How Good Is The AIRBUS A350 Essentially". This made I love Garuda Indonesia will have AIRBUS A350 for adding more plane types to beat Lion air's fleet as I know for Lion air is the world's most worst airline because of always get delayed even Wings air that got worst airline too same just like Lion air.
Currently, Garuda only has wide-body aircraft 777 and A330, hopefully, the airline will soon update A350 to the fleet to serve customers who are big fan of Airbus :)
The A350 is a great plane but I would not call it a legend. It is not ground breaking. It is very efficient, modern, long range, reliable, quiet and Airbus certified it and is producing it with minimum drama as opposed to Boeing and its 777X. Boeing has shot itself in the foot with the MAX and it is currently reloading to shoot itself in the other foot with its pathetic bungling of its 777X engine support issue. Having flown a lot in it recently, the cabin in front is so quiet that wearing noise cancelling headphones is noisier than the cabin itself.
I agree with you A350 is a great plane. But yes still has yet to earn the legendary status as with most modern aircrafts. For me B747 is iconic and legendary
He's not saying there's anything wrong with boeing, but facts are facts.. Airbus every single month for over 4 years delivers more aircraft because more airlines prefer their product especially in the single aisle market

So can the A350 become a legend for you?

Loved flying in the upper deck of the A380
Fantastic airplane!
Indeed!

A350 is truly an impressive aircraft!
Its much better and safe too

Let us be happy that there is at least competition. This will keep the minds of Boeing and Airbus sharp.

Airbus? The best.
That’s right!

Something Boeing could do if they didn’t cheapskate

You should try once on A350. But I love Dreamliner too.
I am sure there are benefits of both the 787 and a350 depending on the carriers needs.
Exactly!
Time for Boeing to hire a manager from Airbus !

Oh thank you thank you@@FLIGAVIA! I hope you can make an update for Indonesian Airlines too much like Garuda Indonesia as I want.
Boing needs to sort out its mess before trying to build planes again!

Thanks.
A 350 and A380 are best
which you prefer?
Flown in both, A350 far better.
Yep.
Whichever Carrier lacks the vision and thinks they can do without this airplane will be obsolete within a decade.
Oh...
Please stop being so negative towards Boeing. There is nothing wrong with their planes. They are just in a tight situation.

Except for door plugs falling off in mid flight!
Even as a European, I wished you were right. But the list of Boeings problems is too long to be ignored. Take it and pray for quick recovery.
Airbus all the way😊
And how!
A350
Awesome!
