I have a 1988 Roosevelt dime with a similar die pattern as the Penny you showed at 6:42 ... But the pattern is on both obv. And rev.
It's circulated
I thought it was called a fuzzy die ( from some coin magazine)
The obv shows it in the fields of the coin but the reverse it is like a halo effect encompassing the rim, lettering and the torch flame and tips of the leaves.
Any thoughts about it? Does this happen on both sides very often?
I found a 2017 ozark river ways quarter p mint mark with copper and or gold and also penny color.red.Can pls.tell is that rare ? Where can I send to find out? Thanks ludy

How much did the penny go for? Struck through die cap....I found one years ago, a wheat cent no less, sold it for $20 on ebay. Looking back, I should've sent it in and saved it...oh well, live and learn. Keep doing what you do👍

Why does that strike thru look like Lincoln's or Roosevelt's head? So maybe a mutilated dime/penny fell on it haha.

The "cupcake frosting" is an excellent analogy. I find a LOT of STG error pennies here in "middle America". Especially about 12o'clock, obv, TS of ST barely visible or completely gone. I guess I should bulk em for a buck or 3 on ebay huh? Great info as usual brother!💪👍

Retained strike thru wld be so cool to find....but only have a strike thru on a cpl of coins. Either or, they are most COoL :)
