The reason the USSR’s anthem and video might look and sound a little ‘off’ is because the nation recently just lost 50 million of its men and women. Gotta keep that in mind.
USSR Anthem sounds more impactful, USA's sounds more Patriotic- especially those last bits- it really brings out a far stronger sense of patriotism I feel.
The US Anthem doesn't get good until they say "Star singled banner" towards the end. Soviet Union's anthem starts with it being good and then proceeding to increase in power after than first note.

The reason the USSR’s anthem and video might look and sound a little ‘off’ is because the nation recently just lost 50 million of its men and women. Gotta keep that in mind.
USSR Anthem sounds more impactful, USA's sounds more Patriotic- especially those last bits- it really brings out a far stronger sense of patriotism I feel.
