  • What's up, Tesla Nerds?! I break out some real man Milwaukee tools in this video since I don't have the right something or other for the thingymajig to do the ol' shave-a-roo as we begin the de-Nerdifying process on the Tesla. I'm slapping in a full suspension setup from the guys up in Canada at MountainPass Performance, in typical matty fashion I bought one of everything.
    View their catalog here: www.mountainpa...
I walk you through some serious fabrication done in the most extreme air-conditioned environment, hat nestled backwards and safety glasses in place. And all of that was done before I even got to the suspension work! You're in for a real treat.

Matt, as a fellow Porsche / Tesla nerd I can tell you that you didn’t have to worry about brake dust with the Tesla. Compared to steel brakes on a Porsche or BMW, there is almost no dust.
Carbons on this car are just for the cool factor.
And there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. Don’t feel the need to apologize. You wanted them you got them. Totally unnecessary. But I bet you $1000 that all those guys complaining you didn’t need them would take them in a heartbeat.

I run all uniball pivots on upper and lower control arms , and there are zero issues with “vibration”. Also feels sharper and direct . I do live in so cal so I don’t worry about rusting steel heims/ uniballs.

48:28 The reason why you should load the suspension before tightening the bolt is so you don't bind the bushings when the suspension is loaded. Factory bushings are like a rubber hinge. It can flex a little but will tear when pushed too far. Maybe the bushings are a sissy.
