I feed my dog when not enough dog food or illness and just because. Bowl of rice with some fat or oil added some veg if you have egg, any meat scraps if you heve. My rescue lived to 21.
That is really crazy that Gunner did not bark, and Gracie and Gabby did not alert to those other dogs. I just hope someone did not dump them, that hurts the heart that people have done that to their dogs. Again, thank YOU for keeping Karl, he is a blessing to the family. Roxie is adorable, I bet her and Karl have fun. Thank you for dog sitting.
Stay safe and God bless! As a single mom working FT and raising my daughter on the outskirts of Silicon Valley, actually in the country, we had chickens and a garden. Hard work but so worthwhile 💕🙏🏼
Hi Brandi and Family. Love watching your videos. Always something happening on the Homestead Be careful around stray dogs because you don't want them attacking your live stock. God bless and love yall ❤❤
I have livestock dogs and have for 20 years! I have a giant doggie door that they come in when all is well in the “fields”🙄 they have giant doggie door beds on all three levels of our house and they eat great, they get stockings at Christmas and go to the groomers 2x a year and they go on walks with me ( I wouldn’t have it any other way)! These dogs are my family and have been keeping my farm animals safe instinctively as long as I have had them! Just because they are “livestock” dogs doesn’t mean they should be treated like they are not part of the family!
If Gabby and Gracie aren't going after the dogs in protection mode. They all know the dogs.. and if the other animals aren't going crazy there may not be a threat
Thank you for sharing I hope you find out if they are strays or a neighbor’s before they get to your chickens or your girls. Take care and stay safe. God bless
Hey friends I just wanted to wish you and your family a Happy New Year,I hope it brings you all Great Health , Happiness and great Fortune. I also hope it gets rid of all the trespassers that’s has caused so much pain . You are all such sweet and wonderful people. .and you have a beautiful family . God Bless
Dallas was displaying subordinate behavior to the rooster. For Hope...it means he was trying to let the rooster know, Rooster is the top dog and Dallas didn't want to get chased off because he wanted to eat.
My livestock dogs don’t bark when they know a threat is imminent but they certainly let one of us know and they instinctively just know how to do their jobs!
just had you pop up in my feed a week ago,,,,,, it reminds me of my childhood building a homestead is very hard rewarding work May God Bless You and BE SAFE
* Energy Saving Tip * Try using that long handled spade (that was leaning against the chicken coop) to mix your two different chicken feeds, in that big trash can. Love you all, From Wisconsin
Have ever thought about taking a fifty five gallon drum and making a mixing barrel. It would probably save you some time. Just a thought GOD’S BLESSING TO YOU AND THE FAMILY. May you all have a very healthy and prosperous New Year one with many BLESSINGS.
🇦🇺For the Botton part of the peacock pen you need to add hardware cloth to re enforce the pen. Especially if other dogs or predators are coming around.
Hope the dogs don't get any of your chickens. Looks like all the animals are doing good. Good that you are helping your friends with the pup while they're on vacation. GOD bless y'all. HAPPY NEW YEAR
I have intruders too. A lot of theft and vandalism in rural Kentucky. I like that the cameras aren't wired and easy to install. Dogs and cats are dumped every day along our county road since I moved here. Many of my hens and roosters have been eaten due to neighbors dogs loose without tags.
Hi Brandy and Hope all these animals are coming to you guys cause they sense the love from your home your all great and kind family God bless you and your family
He’s a cattle gaurd dog. Also it helps them if they are still being trained to learn from you and hear your voice. It definitely won’t hurt to treat him like part of your family on a few walks. It makes them more protective towards your family. I have had different guard dogs for cattle, goats and there are different ways to train for different animals. He’s not really sure what he is guarding. If he gets bonded with the family a little, but still trained, he will definitely be guarding his family!
My dogs instinctively protect never been trained, ours truly amazing to watch! Mine go for walks with me as I wouldn’t walk my property without them! And you are right they do become better at guarding/protecting if they are included! They sleep in the house whenever they want on giant doggie door beds! They have a sixth sense even while they are sleeping!
Top end of most feed bags can be opened by just pulling real hard on the string. The sewn end will begin unravel seam. Great way to open but does create more individual waste,(string, paper ribbon and bag).
I wish my Doberman's were as well behaved around chickens. Our dogs won't kill or play rough with the chickens, But they will chase them. We keep our chickens in a nice large coup area. Our Dobie;s are nice to our goats, and other animals. Just something about chickens.
If you'll never let Gunner out of that pen that is all that he will know to Protect. Gunner should be takin out for walks around your yard in order for him to know that he needs to protect the whole area. PLEASE LET Gunner out to leave his sent and for him to know he needs to protect the whole area.
Gabby and Gracie are beautiful. Mom and daughter who are best friends. Roxie is so adorable. I hope that those two dogs have a home nearby. Love and blessings to you all. ❤️🐕
We live in an area where people dump unwanted pets. They're probably hungry and aren't trying to be bad. Do you have a humane society or animal control in your county?
Unfortunately many dogs will play with other dogs running loose. I have a old Akita, and he is not so friendly with other dogs. He used to be friendly but several years ago he decided he was done playing. lol
Where are you? Oklahoma? My son moved there. When he was still in Colorado, he had raccoons injure and kill a couple of his chickens…..it reached through the chicken wire, and caused them a painful way to go. I thought of this when I saw the chicken wire around your peacocks….and how your peacocks are standing close to the fence…..a raccoon could nab them! My son fixed his situation, by putting up hardware cloth type of wire fencing over the chicken wire……holes are too small for the mitts of a raccoon to get through.
First of all you need to learn how to open feed sacks. You are opening the wrong end. On the small sewn end you just pull one string and the whole bottom will release in one easy zip of that string. No cutting or scissors needed. Very easy. 🇺🇸
My live stock dogs won't go in the house or leave my acreage they just want to be with there animals they are there own bosses can't even be bothered with me

It’s strange none of your dogs were alarmed so they are not seeing the intruders as a threat right now… rich is very energetic… lively dog…❤
I saw on another channel that had pea hens setting. They had the nests on the bottom filled with loose hay.
Hi from Mary Iceland 🇮🇸 😀.
Good to see you 🙂
Happy New year everyone

Great video. Hope you find out whose dogs they belong too. Love your wreath

Could you mix in some spicy bird seed to deter the dogs from eating the chicken food?
Thanks again for another awesome video I really enjoyed 😂it and as always I'm really looking forward to seeing the next video

Your new visitor looks like it might? be a Golden Retriever/English Setter cross???
Very pretty dog.
😇

Dutch is pulling a prank. He rang the doorbell and left.
He’s a cattle gaurd dog. Also it helps them if they are still being trained to learn from you and hear your voice. It definitely won’t hurt to treat him like part of your family on a few walks. That Pyrenees is behind a fence
Hes not barking because he senses there not a threat !!!

we have Kasa cameras and its hooked up by wires it is doing us well so far! looking forward to get the solar panel security cameras as well.
Good morning

We live in an area where people dump unwanted pets. They're probably hungry and aren't trying to be bad. Do you have a humane society or animal control in your county?
Hello Dutch family
We do the same thing .

Hello Hayden! ❤Have missed you ❤though I know you are a busy high schooler😊❤

Nice seeing you all. Hope you had a nice Christmas . Did the guy next door find his cat?
Yes he did❤
@@countitalljoy2023 I am glad to hear that.. ty for the update..
Happy new year all the best in 2025
Could the dogs be dumped by your property? Could you get the dogs excited by excitedly saying, “WHO’S HERE? Go see!”
Unfortunately many dogs will play with other dogs running loose. I have a old Akita, and he is not so friendly with other dogs. He used to be friendly but several years ago he decided he was done playing. lol
👍🏻👍🏻
I’d camo those cameras to prevent them from being seen, stolen, or damaged.
Could someone be dumping dogs on your property? I’ve always wondered how Carl got there. Maybe it’s the same people?
❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Need to stop free ranging your chickens, need to get a electric flensing ..
Yes! I had raccoons clean out 23 chickens!
With possible stray dogs in your area, I'm wondering if you have your poultry pens reinforced against digging critters, etc?
👍❤
the pull string is on the TOP of the sack.....not the bottom
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Is Gunner not alarmed because he’s always behind a fence? Why doesn’t he roam the property like most guardian dogs. Just curious.
He is a guard dog for the mini horses.
@ but Dutch said the dogs were behind Gunner and Dutch was surprised that Gunner wasn’t barking at them…the mini horses are right there!
Open the bag on the other end it has a white table in a pull string
Where are you? Oklahoma? My son moved there.

Roxie has some energy 😂
Yes she does lol
Where is Carl?
He’s inside the house ❤
Peacocks have water?
Yes. 2 bowls with water
I cannot see any dog.....your dogs didn't alert.....
Lol .... those 50lb bags ....I know !?
My live stock dogs won't go in the house or leave my acreage they just want to be with there animals they are there own bosses can't even be bothered with me
