Much anticipated by the looks of the comments recently about my relationship with the province Filipina girl Cat, People wondering what is going on with the beach home I made an offer on. @OnlyKindnessMatterAfterAll1 Kat has been in few videos as his friend. Keeping eyes and ears open three videos doesn't take rocket science to observe very basic traits. Just listen to Michael's description of each video. That's the real problem. Often, many people do not pay attention to what's on display multiple times. Got to go fortune teller to be told what they should already know if paid attention to videos.
Mike watch out for that high tide especially if there's a storm . Maybe that's why the house your renting is elevated? Also maybe make sure your generator is elevated and not in ground level just incase water comes in to your property in rare occasions? Just saying.
I was thinking the same thing when waves were almost lapping at his gate. There's a reason that house is up the way it is. Any tropical storm surge will wipe out anything on the ground.
I'm near this place. The house is safe. If you can see, there are many houses along this are. There are hotels, apartments and rest house of some rich people. This side is more of residential side that is why it is more peaceful and beach goer does not often come this far. This area is safe from storm surge.
What about Odette? Or Odette spelling? I heard it ruined my friends house mom's house there tore the whole roof off
@@jadesandland5540 Strong wind or maybe your friend's house is too close to the shore. Michael's house is at least with few meters setback from the shore.
Oh ok I lived in Florida we got huricanes🎉 not typhoons houses were just like this but that house has Steele beams Florida they got wood that house looks well built I can't wait to retire there I was thinking about it

House upgrades sound great. You may need check tide charts and with locals, how high is the storm surge ? Looks like you may need a sea wall like all the neighbours have. Ref you and Kat. Hey if you and her are happy, then thats all that matters.

Great story! All of us expats have interesting stories to tell and lives we left behind from our former countries. The great thing about the Philippines is we can start over with our lives and usually into something better. Congrats to you and Cat. Am I alone in thinking it's a bad idea? Too many moving parts. Listing the obvious, brand new relationship with iffy dynamics. You're a calm and reasonable person but the responsibility of parenthood is demanding. The cost of a major "redo" of the house feels unproductive for a renter. I do not know how viable your pre-retirement income is, even if your a made man the build may be a ball buster particularly in the short term. Let's face it two rentals your responsible in addition to gf, daughter and her mother. With all due respects too much too soon.

If I were important and my opinion mattered. I'd warn him against everything he's doing. I realize that at his age - mid 50s to early 60s?-- finding someone young who adores him probably makes him feel young and important. It's not a bad thing, of course. I mean, who doesn't want this, at any age? Unfortunately, the very thing that attracts us, often is the reason that breaks us. One day, the road is going to call again. But because he has an adoring wife(? Wife vs. gf) and daughter at home waiting, he won't be able to just take off and see where the road takes him. Not without guilt and worry, anyway. About the Beaver employees, if Mike decides to heed the call of the road. What if the Beaver customers stop coming because Mike is not there when they come to hang out? He would have to decide which one is more important: his freedom to travel or his employees' salaries? Also, having sunk a lot of money in that property, i would imagine it could be costly to just cut bait and run, should shit hit the fan. But, so is the sunk cost fallacy. Anyway, I'm not important and he definitely didn't ask for my opinion. It was fun being an armchair quarterback for 5 minutes.
My dad, who lived a happy- go- lucky life for 94 years, always said, "Until I'm dead or as long as I'm not in jail, I can always correct course, if I find myself in deep shit. Blaze your path, Mike! Buen Camino.

In case you didn't notice in the Previous relationship, Michael was doing practically All the work and effort in maintaining and sustaining his previous marriage and relationship. Simply put, Michael was "Raising" his Young Western Wife just as most of us Western Men do when we marry a Young Western Woman.
The important difference this time around is that Kat is a Traditional Filipina Woman who is Feminine and Knows Her Role in her relationship with Michael. Kat is absolutely "No Threat" to Michael's Masculinity and Role in his relationship with Kat which is what We Western Men want and prefer in a relationship after all. Brad Pitt married Angelina Jollie who has 5 adopted kids! So what is the difference here? This girl through bad past decisions has one child - is she not entitled to be happy after all if someone accepts her as she is with her daughter? This is the reason why a lot of Filipinas prefer to marry a foreigner even if the foreigner is old because they do not need to be approved by others before marriage. They are accepted the way they are especially if all they know is to be a typical housewife - Take care of the house, husband, and children. Just wish this couple happiness and peace for their plans and future. Let us not interfere with them - we are not their in-laws!! Our job is to watch the video and thumbs up if we like it. Mike is still legally married. They can't file for divorce if you're Canadian until after a year of separation which will be around August or September. He and his wife would still be legally married until after the divorce is final.

There a law in the Philippines that you should know.
The language barrier makes this difficult. My guess is they are in for a rough ride in the future. I've been down this path with a Korean woman, and it ended badly. It's doable but the language barrier leads to misunderstandings and other obstacles! I would proceed slowly!

It should be, he has always included drone footage, since the “old” beginning in prior channel with Bianca); with exception of occasional locales prohibiting, like at lux resorts that had guests or certain parts of festivals or subdivisions. There WAS a drone-less time frame in past year, when the drone drowned, I think….But thanks to fellow expat Frank (from USA) & his Filipina wife, Fel, who are also Ilo2 vloggers; they gifted M a new drone that was even an upgrade, if I recall correctly. Great drone shots imo can be viewed in Baguio & Vigan vlogs on this channel , filmed with that new drone.
