First Job With The Diamond Mower And The Worst I've Ever Stuck The Loader

- First job with the diamond mower and the worst I've ever stuck the loader. I finally got the diamond mower back together and repainted and it's time to try it out on this 2 acre site. This mower is a beast! I'm impressed with it, it cuts everything down with ease. It was making quick work of this site when I got the loader stuck. Someone dug a test hole for a septic awhile back and the grass had grown over most of it. While trying to mulch up a tree I lost sight of the hole and ended up driving off in it lol! Luckily the 260 was close by and I was able to dig it out then spent about the 3 hours the next morning power washing and cleaning all the mud out. This mower is definitely going to be a great investment, when it was all said and done I have around $3800 in this mower so you can't complain about that. Thanks for watching! #EliteEarthworks #Takeuchi #DiamondMowers
It's so refreshing to see I'm not the only one that gets into predicaments like this every now and then lol. Good job getting it out.
Lol oh no it happens a lot. Thank you
Awesome how it grinds it all up to bits
Yeah I’m very impressed it does a fantastic job
Ñow that's what I call stuck !!!! Didn't no they had quick sand out your way. Nice job of getting it out big guy.
I didn’t either 🤣 we don’t normally have sand anywhere. Thanks buddy!
customer comes back um I hired you to mow why do I have a pond
He’s trying to out do you on videos Chris. A stuck machine recovery, a pond build and brush removal all in one.
🤣😂🤣😂
I’m a one stop shop 🤣 he wanted a pond he just didn’t know it
🤣 good thinking
Nice job on the recovery Brandon. Our Missouri clay will definitely put a track machine to the test.
Best mower I have seen by far I was waiting so many times to hear the motor bog down and it never really did great purchase on your part!
I agree I was definitely surprised this will be a handy attachment for sure
Called a guy today about buying a new rotary mower for my 50 HP tractor. Once he quoted the price, 😲 I told him I already had a tractor for it, I just needed the mower! And that's PTO driven, so I reckon $3800 is a pretty good deal!
Yeah they are crazy expensive. This mower new is now $14k just nuts
I just submitted a quote for one, after seeing this comment. I guess I don’t need that quote anymore lol.
Takeuchi makes quality equipment. Nice recovery 👍☺️
Yes they do! Thank you!
WOW nice recovery 💪🏼 mower is awesome 💪🏼💯💪🏼
Thanks buddy! I love this mower
No harm, no foul. You got her out just fine. Whenever you can free a stuck machine without breaking anything, it's a good day no matter what. I just can't believe how soft that ground was. In the words of New York's finest plumber...she's a sloppy one mamma. Good job getting it out.
🤣 yeah I was definitely surprised to see the ground was basically soup. That’s a great saying
That machine is an eater very powerful. So sorry you got stuck and so happy you got out. wow what a day you had.
Yeah I was very impressed with it! It’s part of it glad nothing broke. Appreciate you watching
Good save.
Thank you!
Mower is awesome did a great job on the repair..then playing in the mud was extra.😂.. great job on the recovery.. keep on digging / cutting/ playing in mud hole!!
Thank you! Yeah that mower is a beast I was very impressed. Appreciate the comment
It came out better than i thought. Good video.
Thanks me too!
It looks fun. Enjoy
Thanks! I do like the mowing
My old boss would not have been as nice as you were. He would have been cussing, get the chains off the truck, as he walked to get the backhoe. Then he would yank the track loader out of the hole. And start cussing again, get the chains off and get back to work. Great operator with years of experience. But accidents happen, and he was not one to mince words. Good luck with life and the jobs you do
Thanks for the fun videos
Lol well it was my fault and my machines so I try to take care of them as best as I can. Appreciate you watching
Can feel your pain. Had to rescue my excavator last week while mulching. Had it crossed up in the creek to the pond head. Rescued with the backhoe in the same fashion
That’s no fun it happens though just have to press on
🔥🔥🔥 FINE JOB WITH THE EXTREME OFF-ROAD RECOVERY 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
🤣 thats buddy
You were not lying when you said it sounded like a jet engine when it winds up! That mofo was crankin'!!! I have never seen a brush hog wind up like that, even the ones on a high flow machine don't sound like that one. Too bad you couldn't have just flipped it around behind you..." and here ladies and gentleman, Brandon is showing you Takeuchi's new jet boat option for when the ground gets a little soft"..
🤣🤣 no kidding that would have been handy. Yeah this is the only mower I’ve ever seen or heard like this. It’s crazy!
Most famous last words: at least the mower is good 🤣
I am glad you manage to escape from this muddy hole. Great job, Brandon. And the mower is really awesome👍
Lol that’s true. Thank you! I really like it!
😂That will ruin a good day. Last time I did that I had to have a front end loader pick up my Machine.
Yes it will. Oh wow that was buried
23:00 Same thing happened to me. We had just bought a home with 45 acres, 42 acres of woods. I bought a used Bradco cutter and rented a Kubota skid steer. 2 hrs in to the cutting I hit a depression that sunk the skid steer up to the top of the tracks. Fortunately I was near the farm to market road and could get a tow truck to get me unstuck. Took about an hour to do so.
Also took me about 5 hrs with a pressure washer to clean the skid steer before returning it back to Kubota. 🤣
Needless to say I bought a 35 hp tractor and took my time thinning around the trees.
Oh man sounds like it was really stuck! Definitely makes for a long day
Samething happen to me with a grapple. One more tree and buried it was an 864 bobcat up to top of the tracks. Lesson learned from that one.
Haven’t watched many of your videos lately but WOW that mower deck is a killer……. HELLO DIAMOND BACK SPONSORSHIP… 💲💲💲💲💲💲
Yeah that mower is mean! I’m very impressed with it
Hey! S**t happens!😬
But ya did fantastic!!😜👍🇺🇸
Thank you! It’s part of it I guess 😁
Chris got his new Strawberry Shortcake and you got you a Yellow Jacket. Looks like an awesome mower. Congrats to you both.
Lol thanks!
Well you learned from the best, but you outdid your teacher. Chris ( Let’s Dig 18) had his skid steer stuck a few months ago putting in a drive way. You had yours half buried! That’s a very nice mower and does an excellent job.
Lol yeah it was buried pretty good. I’m very happy with the mower! Appreciate you watching
I've never used a brush cutter on a skidsteer before, looks like fun!
They are really nice especially on steep terrain
It never fails that this only happens when you have an attachment on that is no good for helping you push or pull yourself out!
Exactly 🤣 that’s how it always goes
Now that's the TRUTH right there
As nice as that cuts through brush you should call it "The Angry Beaver🦫"
🤣 good thinking
Hi Brandon!!😀😀
Wow man what a soup hole. Glad to see you probably didn't hurt the loader. But it sure would have made me nervous being down that deep. Thank goodness you have something you were able to dig it out with.
When I sunk my 1140 in a swamp within 8 inches of the top of the hood. It took a 3400 Linkbelt on crain mats to pull me out. Luckily the pump side was in the deepest and the hole didn't fill up with water so the mud didn't get inside the machine. Worst thing was it was cost me 700 dollars to get pulled out. If I think of it I will send you a couple photos of it when it was stuck.
Take care buddy!!😀😀
Yeah that was a mess I was really surprised to see sand there. Oh wow that 1140 was really stuck then glad nothing was broke on it
Feel your pain. Did the exact same thing with a TL10 a month ago. Took me six hours to dig it out with my Kubota tractor.
Oh man you get one of these loaders stuck and it’s really stuck!
Brandon like you I think the machine will be ok even the air cleaner, that why they are there to catch stuff like that, I would check it out blow it clean and put back in until service time un less it is damaged to much which I would doubt, a good wash out mate and away you go again but not that spot
Yeah it came out fine just a little scratched up lol. Appreciate you watching
Cuts well.
Yes it does I was pleasantly surprised
Great job & I'm looking forward to more!!👍👍
Thanks! I’ll have a few more videos coming out next and without getting stuck lol
@@eliteearthworksllc Be looking for them!!👍👍
You gained another acre to your field. Looks and works awsome.
Thank you! Yeah it cleaned up nice
great job buddy and great video as always 😎👊🏻👍🏻glad you got it out the bucket on the 260 looks new
Thanks man! It was just clean lol
@@eliteearthworksllc you are welcome buddy 😀
I was pushing brush once with 450 dozer. And 30 yrs ago someone dug double side by side test holes. Like 8 feet deep. And never filled them in. Couldn't see them. Pile on other side all grown up with multi floral rose. I went in the friggen thing. Blade first. Perfectly stood dozer up on the blade. Lucky i had seat belt on. Or probably woulda broke neck on the rops. Was fun getting it out
Oh wow talk about a ride. 😬 I would be sore
Glad you made it out!
Me too 🤣 what a mess
Could have called Let's Dig 18 to come get ya out. That's another job he is good at is recovery!
Lol I sent him pictures
Great way too stay calm and get it done
Thank you! Part of it
Neat video, Brandon. That mower is awesome.
Thank you! Yeah I’m really impressed with it
Wow you were lucky 😱 that was like quick sand, health and safety would say that hole should have been clearly marked or barriered off, but the mower is great, it was good you had the tools at hand to get yourself out. Hope it all cleaned up and no damage done.
Yeah it was in there. It would have been easier to see if the grass was so grown over it. Luckily it wasn’t too bad to get out lol
Yeah um Brandon….we’re gonna have to talk about walking the jobsite before you bury my future loader 🤷♂️😂😂
🤣🤣 no kidding luckily I didn’t fall in it
Chris would be so proud of you lol. That cutter do kick ass
Lol thanks! Yeah it’s a beast!
I've heard alot of good about those mowers, there mean, an it's happens to all of us buddy, ya gonna get stuck it's not if it's when, seems to happen on the nasty days to, on the Bright side, that mower is a beast, thanks for sharing buddy.
Yeah I’m really impressed with the mower! Yep it’s part of it lol
yep your elite!!
Lol thanks!
been quiet a while since I've written a comment on your channel you got that thing effing stuck 😂
20+k subs good for you I knew you would get there.
I'm from you and Jason works a lot live feeds days 🦀 🦀 🦀 😂
Hey buddy! Appreciate the comment! Yeah it was buried. Oh yeah the good ol livestreams 🤣
Good job getting it out! The water is scary when it shows up around a stuck machine. We get stuck all the dang time around here lol
Thanks man! Oh I bet with all that sand
Man I thought you said you was stuck. You drove straight out of that hole. Mrs. Elite he's playing the mud again.
I'm impressed as well because after a little digging he "DID IN FACT" drive out on its own power. MAN KNOWS his machines! Hey, that's why they're called accidents. WHO would have known.
🤣 I couldn’t resist
Yeah it takes a lot to stop that loader. It always impresses me
Awesome recovery
Thank you!
You can mulch trees also if you start high with the deck tipped up and keep the material on the very tips of the blade as you come down.
Awesome good to know. Thank me buddy
NOMM NOMM NOMM I AM THE TREE MONSTER MMMMM HUNGRY. LMBO Awesome video bro
Lol thanks! 👍🏻
Now hats what I called BOGGED .
I thought your motor may have been drowned too
Lol yeah it was buried! I was a bit worried about that too but it was fine luckily
Nice cutter! Gets the job done indeed! Definitely a bad stuck! Lol Good thing you have an excavator! And you work it masterfully! That was definitely a nice mess to clean up lol but you got it handled!
Thank you! I’m very impressed with the cutter it does a great job! Appreciate the comment 👍🏻
@@eliteearthworksllc oh you're more than welcome! God bless ya!
And congratulations. I think that's the mostest stuckest I've seen in a long time. Well done. (And I like to have more body in my oatmeal than you've got in that mud.)
🤣🤣 it was stuck for sure. Yeah that mud was soupy
You’ll have that on them big jobs.
Lol yep part of it I guess
That 250 must really be a big platform if that is a 72" brush cutter. It looks like a toy attachment. I have a 72" Skidpro HD4 on my 230, and it surprised me that I had enough ponies to spin it, and enough machine to throw it around in the timbers. 18 gallon flow on my little machine is just enough to keep it working. Great video Dirty Money.
I think the tracks are 80”-84” wide on this machine. Yeah those 230 are mean machines too
@@eliteearthworksllc It's not really mean, but it is effective and trailer-able with attachments behind my pickup. I have to get up close to a 250 to really appreciate its size in person sometime. I have never seen one in the wild which surprises me.
Yeah that’s true they are great size machines. Yeah 250’s are really big in person I think they are 8’ tall to the top of the cab and the 12R and V2’s are slightly bigger than that
You know, the one thing you are BRANDON, is a very tall Stand Up guy who takes the punches of life like a real man. I know your pride & EGO are more hurt than your machine AND, "AND" you could EASILY have edited this part OUT of the video but YOU'VE always told us LIKE IT IS - and this is no exception! GOOD MAN, Buddy! (Who put that quicksand there anyway?) Sonny
Thank you! I like to show it all it happens just part of it sometimes plus it a was entertaining 🤣
lucky to still have a machine .. looked like you were never going to hit hard dirt ..not too self next year if they call for brush clearing go on vacation ,, lol mower works great ,,
I was worried there was no bottom for a minute we don’t have much sand around it. Crazy
@@eliteearthworksllc nice rebuild on the chopper ,, i got a brush hog for my mini tractor .. i have to rebuild the body / frame / where the gear box hooks up ,, got it already broken from a auction .dont think i will get the stickers but i will repaint it when i am done welding on it ,,
Nice video
Thank you!
Elite Earthworks & Recovery
Lol yes!
Nice job and video like always
Thank you I appreciate that!
Howdy Elites! 🤠 Man that mower is awesome! You setting us up for a video of "how to clean and grease your machine" ? 😁
🤣🤣 you know got to keep the videos coming
Wow!! Thats stuck!!
Lol yeah it was
I stuck my 299D2 about a month ago it took over a 200Hp 4x4 tractor to get mine pulled out and it barely came out
Wow yeah that mud is like a suction. Stuff is a pain
Well hello there! 😘
Hi Mrs. Elite 😊 Is this how Mr. Elite trims the shrubs at home? 😆
Hi! 🙋♂️
@@sparky178 😂
@@DC-1 Helloooooo!
Hey Erin hope you're doing well and having a blessed day
OOPPSS. It happens.😭👍
Yep part of it
Hey buddy! She’s a little damp!!
🤣 just a touch 😁
Not sure if it would have helped in this instance, but I'm looking at a rear winch when I buy my track loader.
It possibly could have. That could be handy
I know the feeling well of sticking your loader , did it twice on one job and I did not have a mini ex to help dig me out.
Oh that sucks. It happens but still aggravating
For a low flow mower that is really impressive.
I agree it surprised me
Works nice. Definitely want the ear muffs with that
Yeah it’s loud! Thanks!
Bad news, I got stuck in a hole. Good news.. I got your septic dug! 😂
🤣 no kidding talk about multitasking
You're a mean motor scooter and a bad go geta with that mower. Sad to see the quick sand hole, certainly a good way to knock the wind outa your sails.
It was I was going to town and very happy with that mower then bam 🤣 sinkhole
A lot of the magic cutting power comes from the weight of the blades and blade carrier. I think the carrier is 300 lbs plus the blades. It has a lot of rotating energy.
That makes sense. They are spinning like crazy
That looked like a recovery job for LD18 !!!
Lol I sent him pictures
Oh man!!! That went from Ecstacy to Agony real quick.... didn't it? My guess is that the video of you going into the hole was skipped because the language was all "Adult Swim" rated.
That first batch of trees that you hit were sassafras. They are soft and splinter easily. Then you got into some elms, oaks and mulberries. I began to think that mower was gonna work. I was just getting ready to comment that the mower really looked well matched to the Koochie when you started describing how effortlessly it was running. Looks to me that you have a winner!!
I bet a five dollar car wash wouldn't have even cleaned the windows after that mess!!
Big Deal 18 has nothing on you.... he had help getting the last one unstuck! Nice job getting it out.... and catching it on video too!
🤣 there was definitely a few words when I got stuck. Yeah it’s a sweet mower I’m very happy with it. That’s true luckily this one wasn’t to bad to get out on my own
@@eliteearthworksllc - wasn’t too bad??? You dug a whole basement to get out!!! Hahaha. That. Will take a year to dry out! If not more???
Great video. Good to see you show it all,,,,,, minus a few choice words,,,,,, heh heh. I told you about the tandem we abandoned once in a giant mud hole. I was thinking the 250 was comin out in pieces!!! Haha. Not really, but it did cause some mild flashbacks!!
Stay safe Brandon!
That motor sounds very very strong. Ever heard one like this.
Yeah it’s a mean cutter
Good news is the landowner gets a pond dug. I must admit the pond dam looks a little low. 😆
🤣🤣 I can’t guarantee it will hold much water
Smooth move exlax.
🤣🤣 no kidding I was pissed
@@eliteearthworksllc better you than Mrs. Elite.
It doesn't look to have caused major damage, just wet air filter, mud in belly pan and an operator kicking himself. I can tell you I would be just as mad if I did that with my tractor.
Yeah it could have been a lot worse but new filters and good to go 👍🏻
That mower sounds wicked, seems like it will cut through anything. I looked like it was good there seemed to be a bottom to that hole you ended up in, cause it was just soup as you dug around the loader. It's too bad that rain didn't hold off till after you go out of the hole, it might have power-washed the loader clean!! Fully enjoyable video, especially since you got out (hopefully the air filter held most of the water from getting past it)
Yeah it’s a beast! The sand and soup really surprised me too. Thank you! Appreciate you watching and commenting
Well If you're gonna get stuck might as well do it right. Sorta reminded me of somebody with a D4 dozer Ain't gonna mention any names DP 😂😂😂😂😂. Take care and GOD BLESS and I'll see you on your next vidja.
That’s right want to make sure it’s done good 🤣
How about a guard over the mower motor and hose fittings on top.
I could probably do that
I would like to see Mrs Elite's reaction to all this mess....
🤣
I don't think that passed the percolation test. In this case it was bad to find the wet spot 🤣 . Nice save! Glad you're happy with the mower. Just watched Matt@ Diesel Creek completely re-engineer his cheap brush cutter.
Yeah I don’t think it will pass 🤣 I was talking to him the other he was giving me a hard time about my find 😁
Holy crap I've never seen a skid steer stuck that bad
Lol it was buried
I'm sorry I was laughing through half of this video! It not always the greatest jobs that are remembable but the hiccups that bring out the laughter down the road. So one day soon, you will be doing something different and out of the blue you will brake out in laughter remembering today.
Oh yeah I agree I’m the same way 🤣
Nice job with a standard flow cutter. Just curious Brandon, how many gallons per minute do you run that Diamond Mower with?
23 gpm is what it flows
You better clean it out.
Oh yeah I did 😁
That thing cuts nice. Heck I'd cut my grass with it. The most amazing part is for a low flow cutter, it has an insanely fast recovery. I may have to look into getting one. Mine sucks, lol.
Yeah I’m really impressed with it. Does an awesome job
Powerwash vid for tomorrow Brandon
🤣🤣 yep
Man you spend a lot of time and fuel backing up
🤣 that’s what I hear. Part of it is I was at the end of the property, you do less damage back in up further and not turning as sharp. And I was really just trying to stay in the camera frame for the video. I waste more time moving the camera around 🤣
Nice brush cutter, but tell the truth the little kid in ya wanted to play in the mud. LOL
🤣 it did I’m like I got this 😁
Not sure I understand why you didn't just tow the skid steer out with the excavator??
I can only run one at a time and I was going to pull on my brush cutter
Bet the boss would not have gotten stuck! Bet she got a laugh! Just pulling your leg!
🤣 she probably wouldn’t have.
@@eliteearthworksllc hey another viewer said should call the mower the Angry Beaver! I started to tell him that’s reserved for the boss! Bet didn’t, kept nick name, hidden in a second reply! Did want to enact the Beaver😂😂
🤣🤣🤣 that’s great!
G'day nice job on the mower mate. great job getting suck mate 👍😁
Thanks! The mower is awesome! And yeah at least it came out fairly easy
Call 911 LETS DIG to the Rescue
🤣 no doubt
Stuck is at 24:00
any good blade cutter you should not feel or hear anything, if you do the blade is to light, the blade should be a minimum of 1" thick and 6" wide and you dont hear or fel a thing unless its a rock then you see fire. here we mush have a fire back pack handy, when i am cutting with a skid steer being the ground clearance is so low, i never go parallel to the brush as you dont know whats in there and any drop your hung up, i always cut in at a 45 angel the length of the machine, back out and keep working my way down the line, then work back, this way you can feel the lay of the ground and catch it before you have a problem, cutting on a dozer or skidder it really dont mater. i custom built 2 of my cutter from nothing, beats any of the bought ones
That’s a good idea I’ll try that next time. Cause your right it’s tough to see in some places.
@@eliteearthworksllc that is right specially here it is impossible to see what is in there, know way you can even walk in it.. , at least cutting like that you can get a good feel of what your getting into..you not beating the hell out of the side of the machine ether..
Nice lawn mower ya got there, maybe you could put a height adjustable swivel wheel on each front corner to keep it up,. off of the ground? I doubt if you're gonna get ten million plus views out of this, like somebody in N. Carolina has!
I was thinking the same thing about the wheels - kind of like a Harley rake has.
Thanks! I think I got my heights figured out now. I doubt it does I’d be happy with 5K views 🤣
One you should have pulled it out backwards so could use the front to level and push while pulling with the excavator two you should have dug a hole on the opposite side to drain the water out so you didn’t make the side you were pulling it out on all muddy
Maybe but I had to dig the lowest track out in order for it to come out. Plus I was the only one there so I couldn’t run them at the same time.
