The jokes here are primarily based on the fact that the Millennials are the child of the boomer generation and had to face a world built by their fathers. Being thrown in the economy during the great 08 recession, the millennials found no other good exit than working in the office space as the industries were leaving the western world. Most made to college, but a degree is only worth if there is anything to create. Which there was little, since the other 2 generations were already occupying those niches. They were also embedded in the internet in their teenage years, which affected their worldview partially, becoming more depressed and anxious as well.
