      For me the most difficult is the one one that come fast into the elbow with deceptive no spin, underspin and topspin serve.

      As a right hander,the most difficult return for me is playing a left handers backhand serve short side spin to my back hand side when the left handed server positions themselves to have the option of serving a long side top spin on the diagonal . Any advice?

      The most difficult serve to return is the one i'm not able to see which rotation it has.
      Sometimes its very hard for me to realize whats really going on because the server's movement is weird or i just cant see in which moment of movement the Racket contacts the ball.
      Its always a pitty when the ball goes out directly when recieve

    Timo I have always liked your receive position but today I know the advantages of having a perfect receive position.

    Hi Timo, thanks for all your excellent videos, short and straight to the point, very educational. I always go back to all of them to remind me the basics and help me become a better player. Can you make a video on guidelines you follow when you step backwards during a rally. Beginner and intermediate players don't normally step back and I noticed that if I step back at least 1 or 2 feet, I have more time to hit the ball and return a better quality shot. Just not sure when is the right time to do it. Thanks, hopefully you would heed my request. More power to you!

  • @stanislavgalov1269

    Not to completely disagree (woudn't dare), but to add another point of view: Keeping low while receiving helps us to focus in order to better analyse server's movements, which helps us make a better prediction. That explains why ML and FZD (when receiving) raise along with the ball (while being thrown up by the server), while you (dear Timo Boll) raise when the ball starts falling to the server's bat. So actually none of you waits (bent down) to observe the ball contact with the bat (and the spin) as this would deprive you of time to prepare the stroke... in my opinion.

    • @vasilvasilev7938
      @vasilvasilev7938 2 года назад

      stay on top of the ball, take it early if you see the spin, if you dont, just try to return

    • @Wole58
      @Wole58 2 года назад

      @@vasilvasilev7938 If the serve is loaded with topspin, it's better not to take it TOO early, but rather wait for the ball to bounce and control the spin with a slight brushing movement. If the serve is faster/less spinny, you can block earlier to use the speed of your opponent and find a good angle.
