Because for a moment I thought it was a fucking mask! Vanilla Sky 2001. Tom Cruise arguing with doctors about his face, they offer him a prosthetic mask
This is one of the reasons Vanilla Sky is one of my favorite non-James Bond movies out there. So many elements in the movie remind me of my real life. The doctors talking to David about his pills remind me of my doctors every time I go. Instead of getting to the root of the problem they want to increase my medicine or give me some eyedrops. When David says, "I have the money I'll pay any amount." that speaks to my soul because If there was a price to put on my good health I would be in the poor house just to pay for it. The facemask symbolizes the masking of a problem instead of creating it, and all my doctors know how to do is mask symptoms, not offer solutions. This may seem like a silly or strange movie to most people but I can not express enough how this is a prime example of good cinema. A good movie makes you draw parallels to your real life and Vanilla Sky is a case of art imitating life, my life! The difference between me and David Aames is he gets tech support when shit hits the fan.
Tom Cruise didn't do a lot of funny scenes..... but those he DID over the years, are beyond hilarious :D:D like that bar scene from "Jack Reacher" :D pure LOL-fest
For a minute there, I thought we were talking about a FUCKING MASK
It's only a Mask
If u treat it that way
So it's aesthetic regenerative shield?
Because for a minute there I thought we were talking about a FUCKING MASK!
This completely takes care of Halloween!
I've always loved the sarcasm tone behind his attempt at looking at the glass half full
Him smiling is hilarity at its best.
