I can’t be the only one that sees you do something simple on a video and have instant anxiety that I am going to be the one guy that triggers the air bag lol 😂
What's it like compared to the older Yoke version? I have the older version and I love it. This looks bigger? Do you prefer this or just feels the same as the older one?
Brother, can I remove scrolling bullon or maybe led panel and transfer them from original SW to yoke to make ambient light arond the buttons work? Any ideas for workaround?
I have had this in white for over a year; the horn part will start showing the Tesla ‘T’ after you use the horn for a while underneath the embossed ‘T-E-S-L-A’ part unfortunately
Hey Shiva, i know you are in PA ,im in Nj ,you are the inly professional one who i coild trust to js tall that stuff in North East , do you have a body shop or do you offer to install such stuff?
Bro, if you have a heated steering wheel, you will need to remove some of the existing components and swap it with this new one. They also recommend removing the control unit (bottom V corner) ECU from your OEM wheel and put it on the new one. Other than that, the buttons and everything else is pre-installed. Thanks.
Wow! I have Heated steering and I thought its just a swap based on your video..Since, I saw your yoke came with Oem roller installed and just plugging in required while swapping. Thank you so much for these details and videos. I appreciate it!
Can you install this on an older Model Y? Mine was built in 2020, before the heated steering wheel was added. This is the most affordable and best looking one I've seen yet.
I know it sounds stupid, i have model 3 2020 and I know it doesn't support the heated steering wheel function, i just want to know if this yoke steering adds support for the heating function or not
Is is necessary to put the whole trim with the buttons and so on to the yoke ? Or can I buy a yoke that is ready to install ? What is with papers or documents with the yoke that allows me to use it ?
Yes, it is highly recommended to install the original trim as I got an error when I put the car in service mode. However, it fixed on its own with the next Tesla software update. Thanks.
@@clausdieterl It is recommended you convert to original part but in my case, the error went away after Tesla software update. Hansshow says to replace it with OEM part.
I just went to the Hansshow website and it gives me the option for Tesla Word Logo and it doesn't look like it has stitching. Did you get it in a different color?
@@JoeWolfe88 Interesting! Perhaps send a message to Hansshow? They offer the same option as mine because my friend just installed his and had the same cover.
@@ShivaSapkota I did. They wanted to see a pic so I sent it to them. I was glad to find your video to make sure I wasn’t crazy. I mean the stitching looks fine but it’s not the look I wanted.
Great video, showing everything you need to make the installation easy even the tip to loosen wheel, so it want hit you in the face I’m sure there will be a few who did hit themself in the face
I spent $700 to Tesla to replace my yoke with a round wheel after trying to live with the yoke for 6 months. Why would anyone want to “get used to” a half a steering wheel. It’s just silly.

I got mine that’s identical last week (alcantara) and love it so much, you get used to it very fast

Id like that airbag cover for the stock steering wheel
Does it come in white and how do I order it? Where is the link?

Shiva Bro! Does it by default comes with all fitted and we just need to swap with the airbag cover if we decided to replace with tesla word logo?

Please check this wiring diagram out. It is not that bad. drive.google.com/file/d/1xSPOEi9Q0YTC0ZH9DvkoLtPJV9xDA3p2/view
led lighting still there?

Yes, and even easier install without the heat. Thanks.

I mean if it's possible to make the car understand that it can heat the steering wheel now
Unfortunately it cannot. It needs an input from the car to use the high voltage battery to heat up the wheel.
Help. Why can't I get the bottom clip out? I press.the screw driver up as far as I could
Did you try from both sides? Sometime the spring gets stuck and may require Tesla to cut it our basically. Hope that is not the case with yours.

The trim with the buttons part of the yoke for the Model 3/Y, you won't have to take anything apart on it, unless your replace the airbag cover.
I heard that it is necessary to install the trim with the wheels from the original steering wheel, because the wheels are coded. Isn’t it ???

This means that if I install the steering wheel next week, I won't need to convert the original parts?

Nope, mine def has stitching and I did just the black one. Yours is what I wanted.@@ShivaSapkota

@@JoeWolfe88 Yeah the stiching would bother me too.
If it can work for Knight rider it can work for me
This looks good
Its not safe for driving when you put your hands down straight, if somthing happen you cannot control easily like round steering.

We need a grey scale plaid symbol for out model y performance with the refreshed S style add ons like the drivers hud and this yoke.😁
Love the yoke....have one myself.
You always have to use two hands all the time,
Looks like uncomfortable.
It is actually pretty comfortable, takes a few hours to get used to.

That’s a downgrade bro. A full steering wheel is much safer.
No, it isn’t!
nah. i rather use the yoke man
The yoke sucks. I much rather have the stoke steering wheel
He he he 😂
air bag cover build quality is terrible. Do not buy the cover
Bolt. Not "screw". Huge difference and a little grammar mistake like that has a HUGE impact on the perception of your intelligence!
