Keep at it, this path must remain open. 'The Ramblers', a walkers charity, has released a report that states 'by comparing contemporary maps, (an) estimated 492 miles of protected footpaths have been lost in the former Northamptonshire area since the turn of the 20th century' (Chronicle and Echo 12th October 2023). And, walk the path at all times of day and night to check access is available at all times.
Well done, Purple. Great to see that your actions have led to things happening. Keep pushing - clearly the owners have taken some legal advice too and are aware of their obligations. Give Kev my regards - we worked at Adams together, top bloke.
Yh getting a little further with the yard. Yh Kev is exactly what you see is what you get. Need more people like him. Brought him some business for him too. Sold a few jars of honey and packs of Duck eggs.
Congratulations ! Not just to the General but to all the troops too. I suppose it's valid to think that it may not be the same during the week but don't let that in any way diminish todays great outcome that all your efforts achieved. Well done again to all concerned.
Oh don't I know it but like I said before. Gotta be patient. I needed to get through the yard without a confrontation first. 😂 only taken them 5 weeks 😂😂
Nice video, yes all the cone's and tape for your walk was just for show , as the yard(shall we call it ) is non operational, in that nobody is working at said premises except security (unless he's asleep ). You can expect the gate 's to be closed whilst machinery is operating( for Health&Safety Reason's) so you or other walker's can ring the number that never get's answered and be safely escorted through the working enviroment by security..
Hi Purple Vision, I watched you earlier effort a few weeks ago and this follow up has been much anticipated, the first one did rather look as if you were on a hiding to nothing!, I am clearly far too cynical!, now we see that the sterling efforts of determined individuals can get results, it does look as if the path preparations are of a somewhat temporary nature, they will find it impossible to operate in that yard with the cones and the tape in place, they could however make things much more permanent with signs, criss cross yellow lines and pedestrian crossings. Well done!. Cheers, Richard.
Yh thanks Richard. I had to pussy foot around a little to begin with just to make sure how I proceeded with it all. I heard their side and aired it. Now I must fight for what I believe is right. Thanks for sticking with us.
@@PurpleVision23 Hi Purple Vision, thank you for your rapid response, all day I have been feeling so much better about things due to your great success!, it might not be changing th world overnight but every step in the right direction is one more step away from disaster!. Cheers, Richard.
Good lad Purple, good to see a bit of a turnout and cooperation from the landowner. I’ll see you soon. Cheers.
Thanks Paul.
Brilliant, at least the weekend worked. Look forward to seeing you on the weekday.
I'm not sure how I'm tackling this one for a moment. I'll get back to you the moment I can
I love these Ditchford walks every Sunday, it’s like a soap opera, I can’t wait to see what happens next.
I don't know if there will be one this Sunday. I need the element of surprise for phase 2
Update from fix my street says that they have been out to site and confirms it's open and will make sure it remains open
Yh well we shall see about that.

Congratulations and keep being persistent
Thank grizzly chops
You need to go there unannounced in the week. Then you/we can see if they leave it open, as they should do.

Hahaha legend
The front gate wasn’t open when I went past today
No itwon't be. That was purely for us that I think
Hey purple update about the footpath sign that cts removed, the highway agency or nnc are going to install new ones within the next 12 months
12 months 😳😳
Cheers for the update
@@PurpleVision23 yea ikr crazy but they said 3 months for them to cut the greenway but did it within 3 weeks so who knows it could be soon
You'd proven it's open. If they now close it, does that start another 28 day notice? Can they keep playing silly games?
Depends if it's a different obstruction to the P.R.O.W

You're most welcome Richard. For the future bud
Unfortunately I think this was definitely set up as they knew you were coming. A surprise visit during the week will likely catch them out again
That's the plan but I might lay off this week
The Lad's gotch there lol. Battle of Hastings 1066. Dooms day book 1086. That lads paying attention in school! :D
