I love this watch but the thing that really surprised me is the new strap. - It is by far the most comfortable strap on any watch I have ever worn. Seiko REALLY nailed it.
I agree with the title. This is probably the coolest Prospex and coolest Samurai ever. I just can't help looking at this watch again and again. Its an instant conversation starter wherever I go.
Thanks there 🙏🏻 Glad you are enjoying it. Love the art work on it. I think so far, it's the only Seiko that has a painting on it. Apart from the other manta rays variation of course.
Unique and distinct case design with a nice lineage of watches in the same series, quality in house movement, professional specs, ceramic bezel, sapphire crystal, artistic dial, the best non-toxic lume, silky smooth rubber strap, a brand heritage that is known for its precision engineering, accuracy, and excellence - if only they could get their modern QC right and not f-up the bezel alignment (no sarcasm intended). Even the supposedly ‘made in Japan’ J models have such issues, so really need to purchase one physically in hand.

Yes they are pretty nice. But do you think Seiko is churning out too many watches too fast making it less exclusive despite the limited or special edition label? Will it desensitize the desire to own one...another Seiko?
Thank you for the Nice review of a collectible piece imo. The price range is where most of us enjoyed seiko back then.. Should Seiko continue the upward price hike, many will leave the brand for others.
Thank you for the kind words. Yes I agree that Seiko is becoming more and more expensive these days. It’s stunning. However, this watch is too large for him. And me most probably. That’s where the Hamilton at 40mm is a good choice for men with smaller wrists.
Watch doesn't look very large in real life. Did you actually try it or are you just going off paper specs? I have girly wrists and never got so many positive attention and comments on a watch
Good video, thanks Great watch, a stunner! Like the dial and the design of the case, same as you, and also the price is a bargain. Think about buying it.. I have a 16,5cm wrist, but this one will work. I also had an eye of one of Seiko‘s ‚Monsters‘ but this one is much nicer.
