I picked one up but opted to the version that only has the date window, not the day as well. Love it and it is a gorgeous gorgeous dial especially when you see it in person with the light shining off it!

I own this bad boy amazing piece. I still prefer the dial on the original safe the ocean turtle that looks like the deep sea fading blue to black but the specs are better on the king! Have a good one

Hey man! I've been watching some of your reviews and I like what you do! Picked up a few Citizens for myself and the family haha
I'm still on the fence about this model, especially after seeing that frosty, shiny dial in direct light.
I just picked up this watch. Sold my blue wave great white edition because it was too blue and didn't like the fake patina on the hands. My watch lines up pretty well I must say, at least as far as Seikos go. Maybe a half click off but with the back settle looks to be spot on unless you stare at it for 10 min then a short hair off. I find this to be the best colorway. I think it's a blueish grey. Definitely in the grey family. Got mine for 30% off from an AD. Worth the discounted price. Fits my 7.25 perfectly.

I have the previous manta and I really like this one now unfortunately but I had no legibility issues with the previous one.

Nice looking watch. It looks like a charcoal color to me, at least on this end of the camera.
Love it, but a 4r movement for this price..
It's like using a 4 cylinder engine In a corvette...looks nice, but leaves a lot to he desired.
I much prefer the 4r to the 6r. I have never worked with a movement more finicky/erratic than the 6r series.
How can I tighten the strap keeper a bit so that the strap wont slip out?
I just unboxed mine yesterday as it came in the mail. I ordered the blue/green model with metal bracelet. I have no idea what is going on but the watch I got is DARK blue going into black. This is not what I ordered. I checked all the numbers and they match. I have no idea what is going on but will soon be sending the watch back.

What a lovely watch. I wonder if you can buy it in England? I would describe the colour of the rubber strap as indigo blue (very nice). I have the opposite problem with seiko rubber dive straps, I have a slim wrist and the fourth hole near the watch head is where the buckle ends up!
Goldsmiths have it in, I had a look he other day. I can't make my mind up between the dark or light manta.

Gorgeous dial 👌. Although minute track lines up with the indices, the bezel insert looks off to the 11 o’clock side. Typical Seiko.
Seiko prospex king turtle save the ocean manta ray dark. Lol! concerning the alignment issues. I only buy made in Japan versions and I suspect the quality control coming out of the Japanese factory for their local market is higher than others. Or maybe I’ve just been lucky.

it is in fact a little misaligned, you can see that better at the 55 marker and also the 12 o' clock seems off as well

There's too many varients limited this special edition that! Still just a turtle with different makeup and that crappy cyclops! Other than that is great! ;-)
