Most people use a live version but this is much better...and I saw Elvis live at Notre Dame a year before he died...incredible, both Live and in studio...this is better
With Elvis sometmes there's more than one way to experience a song that makes it worthwhile to react twice. That's because he's both a hall of fame recording artist and an unparalleled performer. The record you played is the best audio performance of this song. But the version he presented in Vegas 70 gives other dimensions of entertainment and a vibe that can only be heard and observed when he was on stage. Great reaction!
I love Elvis. Grew up 60 miles from where he grew up in Mississippi. Later he bought a home outside of Memphis. Called it Graceland. Bought it for his mother who he loved dearly. Every Christmas, he threw a party for disabled and under privilege children. I had a cousin who contracted polio when he was five. We were lucky enough to be invited to his Christmas Party when Bubba and I were 13 or 14 but we didn't go because I believe Bubba was ill. It was a long time ago. Bubba died five years later. He had lived vicariously through me for years so I felt like a part of me died too. Sorry about the story. I love Suspicious Mind. Jailhouse Rock is a great song from his film King Creole. You asked if there was a bad song by Elvis. The answer is NO!! One of the greats is I DID IT MY WAY. I believe it was Frank Sinatra's song but Elvis blows it out of water!! I watch all your reactions. Love your site. So happy you are a Christian. God bless you and your wife. (don't know if you have children) Have a blessed Thankgiving. In the meantime, waiting for next reaction.
Presley was born in Tupelo, Mississippi, and relocated to Memphis, Tennessee with his family when he was 13 years old. His music career began there in 1954, recording at Sun Records with producer Sam Phillips, who wanted to bring the sound of African-American music to a wider audience. On January 8, 1935, Elvis Aron (later spelled Aaron) Presley was born at his parents' two-room house in East Tupelo, Mississippi, about 35 minutes after his identical twin brother, Jesse Garon, who was stillborn.
The female voices weren't that of The Sweet Inspirations, in case anyone mistakenly believes that. I became an Elvis fan when this first came on the radio in August of 1969. Mark James wrote and recorded this. Elvis kept most of the original arrangement. Mark's 80 now. You should listen to his version, privately at least. Mark was good friends with recently deceased B.J. Thomas. B. J. did an outstanding version of this song.
B. J. Thomas did a great version..Have you ever heard the version by Dee Dee Warrick, (Dionne's Sister, Cissy Houston's Niece and Whitney's first cousin.) Very nice version..Little more soulful. It's on You Tube
Burning love, from 72 was actually also number 1 in USA, but on cash box (most selling record) but at that time billboard rated a song as a combination of sold records AND airplay and that made the song reach "only" number 2 on the top 100 . I would highly recommend you listen to that one too . It was in MEN in Black 1 .
Just thought I could give you little lesson, Elvis was not from Tenn. He is from the town of Tupelo, MS. And his birthday of Jan. 8 is the same as my wife's, which I find awesome.
The 1970 Las Vegas performance is a much better one, as it shows Elvis doing some athletic dance moves, & is the most popular video as far as his fans go. Great Reaction as always.
You really should react to the 1970 Las Vegas concert…lol he cuts up a little…he showed up and showed out 😂 he is so extra! Btw Bridge over Troubled water… Poke Salad Annie, You lost that loving feeling, Precious Lord Take my hand…Just Pretend, Love Letters, Trilogy, Make the World go Away,
Live is even better!! Please react to the new Elvis trailler, His movie is coming out in June, Fans are really excited with this new movie very, very anticipated.
Yes I agree you must do the Live from 1970! Also please react to Trying To Get To You from the comeback tour! He's in all black! It's amazing! You'll love it! 💟
Polk Salad Annie by Elvis live version .. you should also react to his live version of suspicious minds... so much better.. he gets jiggy w it .. lol 😂
YES there are bad Elvis songs (sort of), read on..... Certainly there were no bad vocals, as Elvis voice was always in perfect pitch & range, but his manager made some catastrophic decisions for keeping him pigeon holed into the movies he hated. The scripts & music got so bad, that in 1968, Elvis made a spectacular comeback.
Live version from 1970 is the best it shows you who Elvis was as a performer....
If you're referring to the one where he says "shove it up your nose"...sorry no way. And I saw him perform live...without the clowning.
You mad how about I send you a cape that way you can be super mad
Yes please react to that Live version
Definitely need to watch the live version, please! We won`t care if we have to listen to it again :) Keep On Rockin`
Agree!
Yes me too
You need to see this live.
Right here , this is Elvis at his PEAK. His voice here is other worldly.
American Trilogy is a great one. Thank you for doing Elvis.
One of my favs by Elvis! He's my mom's absolute favorite. 💜

Elvis' Gospel is the BEST! He would have all night Gospel sings! Please do his rendition of Amazing Grace or any other one. Thank you! 😊
How Great Thou Art and He Touched Me were my favorites.

Love your "acting out" these songs! You're hilarious! Great reactions and reviews also.

Please do "An American Trilogy and "You Gave Me A Mountain, both brilliant performances from Aloha 73
If I'm having a bad day at work I play Elvis and Sinatra and it puts me in a better mood.

You are so much fun, Devin.. I love your reactions. Keep it up, brother.. !!! We need distraction from the yuck of the World right now.. !!!!!
My favorite Elvis song!
This is great for experiencing Elvis's voice and the full song but live 1970 in Vegas is how to experience his performance skills and personality.
Exactly!

Studio version, the best one 💪💪💪
A great reaction, the studio version is great but you really need to see the live Vegas 1970 version👍
You need to see this live... an unforgettable experience. Please consider this, you will not be disappointed. I have subbed. From South Africa
I love to watch him live, but his studio versions always show you the way he meant his songs to be heard.
Amazing Grace, Elvis
How Great Thou Art performed by Elvis is the peak of music for me.
The 1966 studio version.
React to " brigde over troubled water by Elvis on 1972

A entertaining movie, a fable. Heartbreak Hotel, a teenager kidnappes Elvis for his Mom's birthday.
For reactions, this version is better than the live version. The drummer here is just something else!
Just thought I could give you little lesson, Elvis was not from Tenn. He is from the town of Tupelo, MS. And his birthday of Jan. 8 is the same as my wife's, which I find awesome.

The live version would be the one you need to react to. It’s phenomenal!

You have to do a comparisson reaction to Elvis liveversion to Suspicious Minds from 1970. The same goes for Hound Dog 1956 Ed Sullivan show.
Please, please watch it live👍👍👍👍👍😎😎😎😎😎😎👍
You can't go wrong with Elvis.
Live is even better!! Please react to the new Elvis trailler, His movie is coming out in June, Fans are really excited with this new movie very, very anticipated.
LIVE PLEASE! 💞🤟🏼
Yes I agree you must do the Live from 1970! Also please react to Trying To Get To You from the comeback tour! He's in all black! It's amazing! You'll love it! 💟

There’s several excellent live versions available
❤👑👑👑👑👑❤️
✝️🙏✝️🙏✝️🙏✝️
One of those beautiful background singers is Cecily Houston. Whitney's mum
No...It's not "Cissy" Houston....She only sang Live with Elvis in Vegas, August 1969 for 4 weeks..Never in the Studio and not in this recording..
Please react to Elvis - unchained melody live
You need TO REACTION TO the live version to suspicious minds 1970. Las Vegas.

YAY! I'm FIRST! 🥳
Yeah you kind of blew it on not doing the live
Doncha know uh ...
I sing that part too😂
Bro I love how open minded you are with music... I hate people who can only rock to 1 genre.
No. There was no bad Elvis song.
On stage in Vegas is the version you need to see. This is boring next that.
Much better live.
No NO NO..Elvis is a live performer... Live Track 100 times better
