Yes, yes yes yes. And for the record one more yes. This should be your next song. If you do it I will definitely be subscribing. Elvis Presley is tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King called if I can dream was the greatest protest song of all time. He delivered one of the greatest musical performances ever. There was a lot of people that tried to stop him from recording this song which clearly had to do with civil rights during the civil rights era
Elvis it the King for a reason. And he must have be a very nice guy in private too. My late father in law, who was in the military, had the chance to meet Elvis during his time in the army over here in Germany. And he mentioned how friendly and polite he was, and that there was no special treatment he demanded because he was a big star. And when I was on tour with my own band, I meet a road-crew member from an American band who told us, his father was a road-crew member for Elvis, and that Elvis just gifted all of the crew a Cadillac - because why not... ;)
Yep , he always had solid musicians behind him , more often or not just seemlessly improvising according to his lead . Not something you see too much in today's plastic B S music .
I'm a metal guy from way back , but anyone with a decent ear and realistic sense of talent knows this guy was a machine of his craft . He was instrumental to the introduction of heavier vocals into the mainstream where the gospel black community could not . He grew up arround soul and sung it accordingly . The good old days where music was actually music made by musicians - not doctored auto tuned pretenders .
There is NO Elvis impersonator that can ever catch the essence of Elvis-his looks, his talent, his humor, his relationship with his band and his fans--Elvis is the conduit for the whole experience and he is unique in the way he brings it all together-you have to watch him to really get why people love him so much. I really appreciated the comments you made about his voice-he could sing any genre because of the complexity and flexibility of his voice. You can listen to Elvis and never get bored because one song is rock, the next R&B, the next gospel, the next country, the next jazz, the next a ballad, then operatic, etc-it is CRAZY. I loved the bass to--please do more Elvis-your reaction was so enjoyable.
You said exactly what I was going to say. Impersonators attempt to copy what Elvis did. There's only one elvis. There will always ever only be one elvis.
Loved watching your face. I smiled the whole time. Thank you for discovering the real Elvis and seeing for yourself what an extraordinary talent he had. You started with the most amazing performance ever filmed during his career. He put his heart and soul into his performances and he touched our soul. I’m 81 now but when the first Elvis movie Love me Tender premiered in the Paramount theatre in NYC my friend and I screamed so much we were horsed. In those days 0:47 you could stay in the theater and watch repeatedly. We were there through two and a half showings The funny thing was I was late for a singing class and had no voice left. My instructed was very annoyed. I really didn’t have a good voice anyway and quit the lessons. Please continue to explore more Elvis’s live performances. Too many to list He left us a huge legacy.
Hello Senpai, this is Karl i’m one of your new members. I was also in the United States Army. My permanent party was Fort Polk, Louisiana. Elvis grew up in Tupelo Mississippi, born and raised at 17 years old or sooner he made a recording. Mama loved the roses he was a truck driver that’s how he got. My dead grew up with Elvis in Tupelo, he was that way he went to Germany when he got through with his boot station over there for three years and come back. He did avoid the draft and also I wanted you to know that he talked Michael Jackson how to dance if you go back and look at Elvis 1955 1956 1957 1958. You will see the real Elvis how he danced in and he was a cut up all the time I got to meet Elvis spent a little time with him, he was a clown constantly.

Elvis is such a legend and brought rock n roll to life. He is also my Dad's Favorite performer so much so he is in the audience of the performance he told me that it was announced they were recording this song and for the women to hold there screams down until the end.
If you go back and look at his earliest stuff you will see that he had so much energy even back then. It just came from his upbringing. And he loved performing. And he always surrounded himself with musicians that would become friends with him and they would get really tight and they could deal with his unpredictability. It started off small but by the time of this, the Bands and vocal ensembles, put it all together and it's huge. And yet you can watch compilations of their rehearsals over many weeks for a given show or a given set of shows. It's fascinating. As someone who's played in a band most of my life, it rings so true. But it also just reinforces to me how extraordinary he was and really all the people around him, how extraordinary they were as well. Except of course for his asshole manager.

the absolute best Elvis imitator is still nothing more than a temu version of the real thing. and there has never been, and never will be again, a voice that even comes close. check out the '68 comeback special and you'll see what i mean about the voice.
Outside of being with his daughter, Elvis' happiest place was on a stage interacting with his fans. He loved the back and forth energy between himself and the fans. From the beginning as a teenager Elvis had the leg shaking thing. Part was nerves but the rest was because he said he didn't feel like he could sing unless he could move with the music. Elvis was a huge practical joker even on stage. That's why the background singer was trying to hide. You never knew what he was up to. My first 2 concerts ever were Elvis in 1972. The second one was one of my presents for my 11th birthday. The first concert all I could do was sit there with my eyes glued to Elvis' every move while I cried. Mom always said I'd been in love with Elvis even before I was born because she was such a big fan.
My first concert was also in 1972 and the artist was The King in Pittsburgh's Civic Arena with my mother and brother. It was a day I will never forget.
I heard some place that the drummer had been with Elvis for YEARS. Apparently they were in such sync that the drummer could pick up when Elvis was improvising and stay with him and enhance the performance. A great showman, who was chewed up and crushed by people who were suppose to be working for his best interest. I have listened to and loved Elvis for as long as I can remember. I was 18 when he died and I remember exactly where I was when I heard he had died - way to early.

Hey this is a german fan of Elvis. I m 58 years old. My dream is that I sometime can visit Memphis, Sorry for my English. I'm glad that Elvis still has such an importance today and that you share it in this new media. I doubt that anyone reads it at all. I also don't know how I can get in touch with you new influencers. I love Elvis. Thank you for your and your work. Elvis must never be forgotten. Unfortunately, I have the feeling that you are not reading this and are not answering me.
The leg shimmy is pretty much a trademark move of his. In fact, in his first appearance on “The Ed Sullivan Show”, the cameras would only show him from the waist up, because the network censors considered his “swiveling hips and shaking legs” indecent.
That black leather suit, Elvis face and voice, playful personality shines in that 68 comeback special and it's absolutely phenomenal. I've seen these 20 year and 30 year old reactors swoon... especially if all they know of Elvis is the Vegas Elvis or Elvis in his later years.
The twisted thing is, he wasn't lying. He was trapped. And this song was a cry for help, whether he knew it or not. South Park once made an episode about how we as a society slowly kill our idols. There is truth to that.
Jesus , have we as a society really stooped that low , as to take on moral values of those portrayed on South Park ? God help us . Next we be taking on the moral ethics of team America and hanky the Christmas poo ! 😁💩Hide-hi
I saw Elvis Presley in concert, when I was 7 years old. My father and I rode in his public funeral procession up Elvis Presley Blvd in Memphis on August 18, 1977.
His drummer the late great Ronnie Tutt said that he had to keep his eyes on Elvis at all times because Elvis would direct him on the speed at which he played the drums.
He got in trouble the first time on a variety show called the Ed Sullivan Show because of his movement with his hips and legs. The show got pressured to bring him back and Elvis did a Gospel song in a dignified way. Ed Sullivan was shocked and admired him for the gesture and Sullivan said Elvis is a good and descent man. Elvis wanted to entertain and make people happy. His voice has such a range that it will change for whatever song he was singing. You mentioned his ring, Elvis had a jeweler travel with him and Elvis would give away thousands of dollars worth of jewelry to the fans. He showed up at a car dealership and bought a young couple a new car. He bought houses for people, one of which was one of the ladies that cooked for him. The backup singers were called the sweet inspirations and one of those women is Whitney Houston's mom. Please do more of Elvis. A few good ones are,,,,,, If I could dream,,,,,, You gave me a Mountain,,,,,, American Trilogy,,,, Trying to get back to You. Look forward to more.
Elvis was an incredible performer. Watching him just giving all he has to give to entertain is the reason he is called the King of Rock and Roll. Check out "Burning Love"
something I've always heard about Elvis... when he first came on tv, the station would only show him from the waist up because of how he would move his body from the waist down...
Just wanted to add this comment, you had talked about it in your post but when you see Elvis on stage and I’ve read of a lot of books and lotta interviews I saw about Elvis and the way he was on stage that was Elvis 24 hours a day Elvis had so much charisma And was full of energy and Elvis had so much charisma people were attracted to him in his regular life. Also, he was Elvis all the time not just on stage.🔥🔥🔥🔥
Elvis changed popular music forever. He set the bar for some many other great artists and his influence is still around. A true legend! @aileen I would love if you would react to Baby What You Want Me To Do from the 68 Comeback Special (sitdown version). Best regards from Switzerland 🇨🇭
Aaaah I can't believe you did this one! I got so excited lol. This is probably my favorite live performance ever, It's just so amazing. Few songs are this much better live than in the studio version, specially because the studio version is just "Don't you know we're caught in a trap, I can't walk out, because I love you too much baby" over and over during the second half untill it fades out. Elvis doing all that crazy stuff instead of singing the "baby" and that grand finale elevates it so much. Imagine keeping that energy for a full show. And what a band, what musicians, what background singers. Not to mention that absolutely iconic suit. Dreamy performance~
The shaky leg thing started as a nervous fidgeting kind of thing, but his target audience reacted well to it and he played into it and dialed up the hip and leg movements.
I had the pleasure of seeing him live in concert in Eugene Oregon on November 25th 1976 at McArthur Arena, I was 15 years old and to this day was one of the best concerts I have ever attended.
I got to see Elvis in concert on New Years Eve at the Pontiac Silver dome in Michigan in 1976.. I was 18.. Yes i'm old, but will never forget that night
Elvis is just so much fun. One of my favorite Elvis songs is A Little Less Conversation. It's fun, flirty, and short. It knows what it is, gets the job done and exits in a flourish. The beat is so funky and has an amazing baseline. If you don't have a grin from ear-to-ear while listening to this, you don't have a heartbeat ❤
Part of what makes him immortal is the endless confidence. Got the looks, got the great musical ability, and he’s a total goofball. That big grin comes across and you know something fun is about to happen.
Fun Fact, Whitney Houston's mom was a backing singer for Elvis and she is on the famous laughing version of Are You Lonesome Tonight. Elvis spots a guy with a toupe and changes the lyric to "do you stare at your bald head and wish you had hair" Elvis then descends into hysterics while the rest of the band plays on. It's a brilliant moment.
Hey Aileen, you look lovely as always. Elvis the pelvis, they called him way back in the day. In most of his early TV appearances he could only be filmed from the waist up. His "gyrations" were considered obscene. I would suggest something from his comeback special in 1968. Trying To Get To You is a good one as is If I Can Dream. It was his comeback after serving in the army. That special really showed off his talent and versatility. Thanks for another fun reaction, Aileen.
I grew up with a mom who was a huge Elvis fan, I've loved his music as long as I can remember. My dad used to call him Elvis the pelvis cause of his moves LOL I still remember it hitting the news the day he died, mom was crying at the dinner table. One of the earliest and best rock and rollers out there.
The energy this guy had was intense, very fiew performers can deliver that! And he did this two times per night four weeks in a row, twice per year. Inbetween tours, recording sessions, interviews...
Excellent reaction Whitney Houston’s mother was one of his back up singers they were doing a outdoor show in Texas in the late 60s and they told Elvis he couldn’t bring his back up singers he said that’s fine I won’t do the show then, of course they said ok then bring them so when he entered the stadium him and them were sitting in a convertible Cadillac and rode around the stadium to show them off later beautiful.❤️😎🇺🇸
1st in the comments! Love you and your channel! So he was known as "Elvis the Pelvis" he couldn't be shown below the waist on TV because all of his movin' around.. his earlier stuff, in black and white, was really wild. Merry Christmas!
If you wan't to see Elvis live, at his ABSOLUTE BEST, check out the 1973 Aloha From Hawaii concert, which was estimated to have been seen, via satelite, by 1.5 billion people in 36 countries!! I was only 5 at the time, but it remains one of my most vivid childhood memories. Quite possibly, the greatest concert ever produced. Two standout performances include 'An American Trilogy' and I'll Remember You', though, I'm personally drawn to 'In The Early Morning Rain'. NO ONE should go through this life without having watched this full concert at least once
Some popular Elvis reaction songs/videos are "Hound Dog" from the Milton Berle Show in '56, "Jailhouse Rock" from the movie of the same name, "Trying To Get To You" and "if I Can Dream" from his '68 TV Special, and "Polk Salad Annie" from his 1970 Vegas show.
I have always believed my favourite Elvis song was "In The Ghetto." I had no idea the meaning when I heard it as a kid, but it was always the Best song he did. Don't Be Cruel is another good one.
Thank you AileenSenpai, Great review. You really should try IF I CAN DREAM 1968 Comeback live. By Elvis. Everyone gets blown away by his performance of this song.

😁💩Hide-hi
Elvis will never leave the building. He’s larger than life. And if you don’t like Elvis, then you just don’t like rock n roll.
I love this reaction ❤️Welcome to the Elvis world. you should see him in the 50s, he became the heartthrob of American culture and still to this day👍
My day is better now ty aileen. Have a great day. Fun personal fact i was 3 months old when the king died!
More Elvis !!!!
I saw Elvis Presley in concert, when I was 7 years old. My father and I rode in his public funeral procession up Elvis Presley Blvd in Memphis on August 18, 1977.
Elvis always had some of the best session and live musicians backing him up that were so in sync with his lead as shown here.
Energy behind that sound. He was an amazing performer.
Loved your reaction.
As we say in Texas; y'all be safe.
The first ever world wide TV broadcast: Elvis - The 68 Comeback special (HD Remaster on YT)
You would love it, it is very good.
Peace
The man was simply a master performer and one hell'va singer with a alot of charisma thrown in.
It is such a fun and energetic song, really enjoyed your reaction and engagement!
Awesome reaction Aileen!! Elvis was very cool. Love me Tender will break your heart if your up for a mushy song!!
I got to see Elvis in concert on New Years Eve at the Pontiac Silver dome in Michigan in 1976.. I was 18.. Yes i'm old, but will never forget that night
.. and just like that... another Elvis fan is born. Welcome!!
Fun fact: his jump suits weighed about 15lbs. The beautiful thing about Elvis live is every show was different.
I was 10 years old when Elvis died and i can remember my Mom and Sister crying their eyes out!
my parents used to play Elvis, now and then. I always liked the songs that had a little deeper meaning to them.
He had a black belt in karate so strong legs. And he and the drummer play against each other❤
Go girl! More Elvis please.😊 Totally love your reaction to the Legend.❤️
Sheesh, shoutout to the bass player. He was taking that thing for a walk. 🔥
@@jon.helmkamp Jerry Scheff is the bass player. He also played on the Doors 'LA Woman album.
This song always makes me think about the movie Blackhawk Down, when they are all lifting off the tarmac. Elvis did good Christmas albums too.
I love the bass line on this song. This is also my favorite Elvis song.
Amazing reaction, like always...
Congratulations for your channel and salutes from Brazil...
I grew up with a mom who was a huge Elvis fan, I've loved his music as long as I can remember. My dad used to call him Elvis the pelvis cause of his moves LOL I still remember it hitting the news the day he died, mom was crying at the dinner table. One of the earliest and best rock and rollers out there.
can't help falling in love, all shook up, hound dog, blue suede shoes would be a good few to hear / see, to start from Elvis.
The energy this guy had was intense, very fiew performers can deliver that! And he did this two times per night four weeks in a row, twice per year. Inbetween tours, recording sessions, interviews...
Elvis is the fucking man. A great singer & an incredible entertainer. I can tell why the women loved him so much.
From "Aloha From Hawaii: via satellite " 1973, "You gave me a Mountain ", "What now my Love", and "American Trilogy ". Masterpieces!
The king is one Elvis Presley !
Thank you for cool reaction 😍🎸📢🎶👍
Fuck yeah, Elvis we will never forget him...
Darealdeal ...
This was filmed 24 years before you were born young lady. I was 12 in 1970 and 18 when he passed away in August of 1977.
Gone all these years and women are still falling for him. Yea i get it though. This is one of my favorites.
I watch and listen to the king everyday. Texas
Hello from Brazil i can say that Elvis and Marilyn Monroe are the great American icons of last century
From his early days in the 50’s to the 70’s, he had charisma and the it factor like no other.
Elvis was in excellent shape right here. Colonel Parker his manager /promoter is the one who ran him into the ground
Great reaction!!! Sidenote Elvis was my moms fav 💗
Pure entertainment he was 🎤🙏
I have always believed my favourite Elvis song was "In The Ghetto." I had no idea the meaning when I heard it as a kid, but it was always the Best song he did. Don't Be Cruel is another good one.
Your reactions to this is priceless. Ever seen anything like this before? I’m guessing no. Really enjoyed it.
Jerry Scheff on that badass bass!! You would love his version of “you’ve lost that lovin feeling” 1970 from the Same concert. EP does Motown.
Kentucky Rain is one of my all time favorites!
Thank you AileenSenpai, Great review. You really should try IF I CAN DREAM 1968 Comeback live. By Elvis. Everyone gets blown away by his performance of this song.
