Nice to see another X on the trail! This modular build is perfect for leaving the interior stock while providing flexibility for different adventures. Thanks for the inspiration!
Love this! I was planning on buying a van to convert to a home. I have a 2006 Xterraand thought maybe that would work for now. I found this video that has truly inspired me to use what I have for the time Thank you!
Yup. Added to the backlog. It's currently not pressurized. It was my intent in the beginning but I have enough pressure difference from it being on my roof that the flow is enough for me
Great build! I was looking in the back of my Xterra and it looks like the back slopes down at about 5%. I watched your build videos and it looks like you matched the slope in the back. Any issues with the drawers shooting out when unlatched or anything you’d do different? Wondering if I should correct for the cargo area slope or just follow your build video. Thanks for a great inspiration!
That's a good observation that I didn't take into account when building. On a moderate decline, the drawers will slide out when not locked, but that's usually desirable. From a structural standpoint, it's very nice to match the slope to keep that back piece locked in. But if you were going to design to compensate for the decline, I do not recommend adding spacers below the build, but rather incorporate the 5% when cutting your sides.
The tax comes after you buy and have to pay for a bunch of repairs you might not on a Yota. Buddy has a 06 Taco. Since new he’s got new spark plugs. Nothing else at 220k miles. My 05 X has easily $10k in repairs in that time
Hey Garrett I've recently acquired a 2005 Xterra. I live in Denver and wanted to know if you have a specific mechanic you like who specializes in Nissan cars? I have a couple of repairs to do and then I am going to build it out like yours.
one of the nest things about the Xterra is the ability to sleep in the back.

Xterra convert to home? How does that work
Nice! Buying 2011 Pro 4x tomorrow! Great inspiration from your videos!
Very nice! Hope you enjoy it as much as we do :)
I fucking love this build!
it would be fun to link and do an xterra road trip 🤗 i’m also in missouri
Would you ever do a video on the shower? Curious if and how it is pressurized. The drawer system one is great!
Yup. Added to the backlog.

@@Down2Fly oh awesome okay cool! Great work again man, very inspiring for what I want to do.
Great work on the build. Can you link to that ceiling net? Thanks.

Cool build! I imagine these don't have the ridiculous "toyota tax" that the 4runners have?
Generally speaking, they do not.

I do not know of anybody in Denver... sorry. What repairs are you needing to do?
I have an 05 Xscape lol!!
Good luck 😁
Did you air down for the sand?
yup. was at 25 psi. could have gone lower
How many miles on your X?
Just passed 100k
Auto or manual?
Auto. Manual would be fun, but the auto with the transfer case option made this kind of stuff easier.
I've got a manual and haven't been off roading to much yet
