hello from the future im sure you have seen it but the landcruiser/fj is coming back! sadly no xterra yet but there are rumours and honestly i wouldnt be surprised if we see nissan pull one out in the next year or so!
Love both of these beasts!! They should literally bring back both of these SUVs from the dead to rival the Jeep Wrangler, Ford Bronco, LR Defender and much more since the off road market is soo popular right now
Xterra is supposed to be 2024 but if it even does happen I'm sure nissan will water it down and make it less off road worthy the way they have done everything else in my opinion. It will probably have 22" whiggerriffic's and be 4 inches off the ground, or hell that's probably just in the back the front will probably have 15" of ground clearance.
@@JohnnyRebLa not as much as yota for sure but there's still a decent amount of support for the vehicle and maybe, by accident, they actually made a pretty capable platform in the new generation Frontier so I imagine they wouldn't have to be too beefy on their offroad work when it comes to making another offroader. But I agree, Nissan has become a lease company that happens to make cars these days so it's a bummer.
Nice footage and great views man. I want an xterra for offroader. Any years/trim you would recommend/avoid? The pro4x models have a beefier rear end. Do you disconnect/remove sway bars?
thanks! and yes, I bypassed the trans cooler that is integrated in the radiator. I still have the aux cooler and also added a second aux cooler with a temp controlled cooling fan. I've had that setup for over 100k miles without issues...with plenty of offroading and mountain driving. Cheers!
back then I had a magnaflow 2 in 1 out setup. That setup got rid of the Y pipe but it had more drone than I like. I then switched to a factory Nissan Pathfinder 2 in 1 out. Still no Y pipe, but much quieter than the magnaflow.
@@juliomadriz Nice, thanks for the info! Hope to see some new trips soon. I see you have some ski vids from my neck of the woods (Okanagan BC area). Good wheeling here too!
I get the feeling. Although, Xterras are very, very capable in stock form. I wheeled mine stock for years. Which helped give me an idea of what mods I actually needed. Cheers!
@@Banjmedina 100% agree. People get so, so caught up in brand loyalty/hipe. Just take care of vehicle maintenance. Put the money where it matters in the build and go have a good time. Cheers!
Man I love those FJ's BUT everytime I found one with under 75k miles in good shape they were going for 25k or more. Ran across a '15 Pro4x with 60k miles , 2 owner ,got it for 16 and Ima chipper! Just need to do some little mods to it like maybe ...I dunno...A TITAN SWAP!
Nice man! That’s awesome, one of the last ones ever made! If you like to off roading, I would 10000% recommend the Titan Swap. The best mod I’ve done by far. Cheers!
So was the xterra a Salvage Title or a Branded title? Trying to get an FJ under 75k for 25k of less? I found 1 out of 57 in my area that was 25k for that mileage and I highly suspect it's seen its fair share of damage that was never reported. Most of the FJs with that mileage were mid 30' to over 40k.
@@christopher9626 the Xterra was clean. Dealership was a Hyundai place. My guess is they didn’t know what they had. All the Xterras of that year were going around 20k or so. Now they are like 25-28k for the mileage if clean for the trim. All the FJs are goofy pricey if clean and under certain mileage for sure
@@theeditorrestrial you have amazing luck combined with stupid salesmen! I ran a check on auto trader and 2015 pro4x with that mileage are selling for over 30k with 2 over 40k but one had only 25k miles and the other only 2000 miles. Grandma only driving it on Sunday or something. a few years ago I found a white 2015 pro4x, manual in prescott, Az that a lady wanted 22k for and it had 24k miles on it. I still kick myself for not getting it. You could make , probably 10 grand if you flipped yours with as insane as the market is right now. I'm happy for you! I had a buddy that went it to buy a used Charger R/T at some no name lot. and and as he was going over it, He was noticing there were components on it that were not R/T related. He pulled the vin or something and it was a rebadged Scatpack or one of the higher end models. This was in the middle of nowhere texas and everyone drove pickups so they couldn't sell it. He made some ridiculous offer and they took it. He turned around and flipped it and made over 20k on the flip.

it's not quite a lift "kit" I just pieced it together over time.
