Hi friends. Note that when I’m talking about my Circular Yoke tee, I’m referring to the front of the garment when that was actually the BACK with the mistake in the ribbing etc

Great podcast!! It took me back on my own knitting journey and want to say welcome! Embrace the errors, that's the learning curve . I have yet to make the perfect garment( 6 years later,) but things have definitely improved and I have no problem wearing my sweater knits publicly. Your on your way to some fun and beautiful makes!

Wow, thank you very much! I’ve just started a 2nd Summer tee and had some challenges…that I think I figured out. This is tricky stuff! And a ton of fun. I’m so glad you’re here!

Hi Renee! I’m so glad you made it to Magpie in Frederick! I love the store - the staff are wonderful and the yarn is gorgeous. I took a beginners lesson at Magpie, and now I’m addicted to knitting 🧶😊

I think the mushroom color actually suits you well! I am drawn to more muted tones such as that greyish-mauve-taupe. It’s one of my favorites! It brings out the natural fleshy pink tones in the face in a way that in my opinion is incredibly flattering!

Kate, ah that a really good point! After I filmed this, I did wonder that a tee out of the mushroomy color maybe tipped in the baby blue color Coboo comes in would be fun too!

@@AdventurerKnits I think so too! It would also pair nicely with a deep grey or black for a more wintry palette!

Oh she is being sweet!! - looking forward to the updates and plans, - Im a beginner also, but a perfectionist who will never get anything done if I dont start living with small errors and keep going - scarf has been pulled out at leave 3 times!!UGH!

Oh, thanks! For me, knowing there’s a mistake, deciding if I can live with it, and then getting the benefit of knitting the garment to completion is my personal learning experience, for sure.

Hello from Sydney Australia. I'm a new subscriber. You just popped up on my tv. I'm Bondi Crafter on RUclips. Ive knit 26 Sophie Scarves....I know..obsessed..a bit. Re the tip of the Sophie..I just tuck the points under but you could start knitting it a bit further up in the pattern. Love your vest. Ive just made a 3/4 sleeve boxy jumper with Butterflies. See you next time 🧶🧶🦘

The Sophie scarf is a great pattern for a neck scarf for your souvenir yarn! If you check out the Professor Purl podcast, she has a whole video of different small scarves - many of which are free. I'm pretty new to knitting as well, and am making the Plain Yoke Tee 20 by le knit, which will be my second knitted garment. The pattern has a simple version and a more advanced one - great value!

Your sock looks like it's coming along. I know you are using the Crazy Sock Lady's tutorial for it and I never watched it. But one thing, if you don't mind a suggestion, I don't count rows until I get to the heel flap. I find it much easier to measure to the desired length when doing a cuff down vanilla sock (mine is 4" from cuff to where I begin the heel flap). I like the length, but it would work with whatever length that you want the leg of the sock to be. I do pay attention the stitch count and that it where I may place a marker. If you were doing colorwork or a fancy sock pattern it might be important to physically count the rows on the leg. Either way it's just something you might find easier.

Oh my gosh I LOVE that idea! Once I have this sock done, presuming I can ever finish it, I can then do some measuring to see the length of the leg I really like. Brilliant! I’m doing my first heel flap now on DPNs following the Crazy Sock Lady. 👏👏👏

@@AdventurerKnits I just model my socks after some wool socks that I love the length of that were machine made. Socks are easy to customize.

Virginia, very sound advice, for sure. I’ve started to think about my local yarn shops again and their knitting groups.
