Keep on knitting with your zest for learning! I so admire your sweater Mojo. I'm still stuckon the planning phase trying to figure out yarn substitutions and getting gauge with my loose knitting style. I am also enjoying all the planning and knitting other projects while I ponder.
Love your enthusiasm. Back basically 60 years ago when I started knitting, I got all my information out of a book and taught myself to knit. No RUclips back in those says 👍🏻
Great idea to knit disembodied toes for practice! I try to get to Wisconsin Sheep & Wool Festival every year. It is coming up fast, the weekend after Labor Day, and it is a pretty easy ~2 hour drive. The weather is usually too warm for knitwear but I did wear a “tee” last year. I love the shearing demo, newborn lambs, and Make It With Wool fashion show.
Your sleeve on the Lion Brand yarn sweater looks so much better. It looks like you did a good job. I love the look of the teal sweater yarn. I would save the yarn too. I have frogged several projects in the past with knitting or crochet. It's the best way to learn I think. You've made so much progress in such a short time! I have never tried the Berroco Vintage yarn but I have it on my to "try" list now. I've heard quite a few people say how they really like it. I think your hat turned out nice too. I love making hats they are fun. They don't take much time or yarn.. I tend to stick to classic styles so far similar to your hat. And yes that 80 grams sounds about right on the hat. I have been making classic beanies with folded rims with mostly Patons Classic wool and they are 100 gram skeins. I have never used the whole 100 gram skein. As far as the guage on the Coboo yarn, well I wouldn't set to much stock on yarn label guage. Labels sometimes suggest a hook or needle that I think is too big. I would pay attention to the guage that your pattern for the yarn is telling you. And then go up or down a needle size if needed to get guage.
That’s very good advice on gauge. Thank you! You know, I see the Patons wool at Joann’s and I’ve only tried and loved the sock yarn. I hadn’t thought of the larger yarn for hats. Mainly because I find it scratchy, but it may be fun to try given the cost!
@@AdventurerKnits I just sent you an email with my Ravelry handle and a couple of pattern suggestions. I love surprises, so whichever one works is delightful. Thank you.
Oh good question! I did have a tiny tape measure with me. And I was able to try it on before the cuff. I think that photo may be on my Ravelry. Thanks for the feedback though! I’m going to try it on again BEFORE starting that second sleeve!
Hi Renee, I love watching your videos and following your knitting journey❤ Can you tell me how the Knitpicks Stroll compares to Patons Kroy in softness? I am very sensitive to wools and have use Patons but can only wear the socks when it is very cold or it is too prickly. I’ve wanted to try Stroll but don’t want to buy more yarn that I can’t wear. Just wanted to get your opinion. Thank you ❤❤❤
Sure! Where Patons feels prickly to me on my cheek and neck, Stroll feels lumpy, silky and SO FAR, just fine…the same as Berroco Vintage which is also a Superwash wool. I’ll know more when I make a swatch and wash it. I’ll be sure to give feedback on it in my next video. Thanks for asking!

Oh, I’m learning the planning phase is SO MUCH FUN. And you can get stuck there, can’t you? I have to force myself to cast on!

Patricia, isn’t it something? I’m so glad for this online community. 🥰
Loved watching this whilst I was attaching mole arms to a mole body.
Oh my gosh, I wish I could see that project!
Wow, you're doing great and have such a positive attitude!❤... 😊
Ah, thanks so much, Maggie! 🥰

That sounds fantastic! Newborn lambs, oh my gosh. 🥰🥰🥰.

Also, thanks SO much for the feedback on the sleeve looking better now!
You should try the Tolsta Tee. Super easy and you can change it up in so many ways.
Hi! I’m thinking about it, but it’s a bottom up pattern, right? I prefer top down but…
@@AdventurerKnitsno, it’s a top down raglan by CREABEA Knits.
That's me. Let me know if your first winner contacts you. Otherwise-that's me. Thank you!
Yay! How fun! Are you on Ravelry?

Hello from Istanbul. Cumulus pattern has a o neck option 🎉
Hello! Oooh I do have my eye on that one! 🥰
@@AdventurerKnits very lovely patterns but 28 sts gauge with 3 mm needles a bit scary. Wooly hugs from Istanbul😍
Hi there …. On your road trip did you take a tape measure with you ?… that sleeve looks well knitted but loooong !🙈🍓

Sport weight yarn, meters per 100 grams 260 to 400
DK weight yarn, meters per 100 grams 210 to 250
These are in US terms
Lovely! Thank you. I’m jotting this down!
No shame in frogging something you know you don't like. Everything is a learning experience. Now you can move on to something you are excited about.
Evil, thanks for that. I feel that way!
