    Heck yeah Matty!
    I'd be embarrassed to say how stoked I was to see the initial thumbnail for this next build.
    I did a fist pump and yelled "Woohoo!"
    The wife in the next room said "what's up?"
    So I said "Matty's starting a new swap project."
    She yelled back.. "is it another F100?"
    I said "Oh yeah! This one is a 62."
    She said " Call me when he does a 65. Do I need to bring your dinner to you in there or will you be able to separate long enough to eat?"
    LOL - she gets it!
    Another frame swap Matt - LET'S GOOOooooo!!

    Matt, I glad to see another truck build. Looking forward to following this build with you. When I was 16 I bought a 1965 F-100 Custom Cab long bed pickup. I had it for a for a few short year and ended up letting it go. I have regretted this for many years now. I wish I could have another one like that one, and if so I would hang on to it and not let go.
    I find those Unibody trucks interesting. To me it's like a car that looks and functions as a truck. With the Crown Victoria chassis it is further enhanced.
    Looking forward to the next videos.
    -Rob

    Yes cover the details. And for me please really cover the A/C with parts numbers if possible. I try to answer questions the best I can and direct them to your channel also. The most ask questions I get are for A/C and the engine harness. Looking forward to watching this build. Thanks Matt! ~Pat

    Great explanation on wiring harnesses the headache of trying to keep everything is ridiculous. Learned the hard way. Great video. Looking forward to rest of build. Something I did that speeds up progress is I built a jig for body mounts from f100 frame. I set it over vic chassis make all mounts and makes assembly super fast. I also use f100 frame section forward of crossmember helps with core support and bumper mounting. I've done several bump sides. So mains vin on frame. Not sure on the unibodys.

    The blue f100 looks so good. I bought a ron Francis stand alone engine wiring harness on my f100 Vic project. It is so much cleaner. Very pricy but it was set up to where anyone could install in and looks really good

    If you’re worried about background noise from the heater, you could use an electric radiator style heater to maintain the garage temp after it heats up. They are very quiet

    It seems like this build is going to address many questions posted on prior builds. I'd like to see how the wipers are hooked up, many builds seem to not run wipers. I am so looking forward to this build, but why isn't your buddy in there wrenching with you??!

      Hey Kerry! The garage is 2,200sq ft. The house came this way, the guy that we bought it from was a custom cabinet maker so when he had the house built he designed the massive garage (and I'm so glad he did!) for his business. That also means the garage is wired independently from the house with LOTS of 240v outlets all around. I'm blessed to have it for sure. When the wife and I looked at the house I knew it was "the one" haha. Luckily she loved the house part as much as I loved the garage part. Thanks for tuning in!

    Is it possible to shift the CV fuel tank forward to the front of the box/back of cab to reduce the size of the hump in the box floor?

    • @hammertimeharmer
      @hammertimeharmer 3 года назад

      From what I understand, it wouldn't help much only because of the watts link suspension. I was thinking about running a flat fuel cell for the same reason, then realized I was only going to gain me a couple of inches.

    I don't get why people want to turn trucks into cars. I have a '62 Unibody and I use it hard as a truck. To each their own I guess.

    • @rivercity3908
      @rivercity3908  3 года назад

      To each their own indeed, but to be fair, the Crown Victoria isn’t your typical modern car. Tough as nails with great handling to boot. That’s awesome you’re actually using your Uni, a very special truck indeed. Obviously I’m a fan of them, and I totally understand the folks that aren’t crazy about this swap, but in the end we’re all having fun and getting these things back on the road. Hope to see yours one day, always love seeing an original that actually gets used!

      Oh no worries brother! I truly appreciate you and your support. Hope you didn’t think I was taking your feedback personally. I learn so much from folks that have a different point of view of mine, and that’s invaluable. If we all thought exactly the same way about every aspect of this fantastic lifestyle it’d sure get boring quick. I’m blessed to have you aboard.

    • @SpeedandChromeTV
      @SpeedandChromeTV 3 года назад

      @@rivercity3908 Now with my '63 C10 I'd love to get that truck to handle like a sports car. I'm still kicking around ideas for that build. They make a ton of after market parts including entire chassis.
