    Having watched content from the big RUclipsrs such as half ass customs, puddin’s fab shop etc, your video is just as interesting and entertaining! Well done and keep up the good work. Also, from experience, if you need to use your office chair a lot, get yourself a set of rubber wheels with bearings (with the wheels from inline skates). They make moving around so much easier and quieter!

    Love this build, best of both worlds. Old iron with modern convenience and power. I'm hooked on your channel already. Also skipping through the mundane tasks makes for a better video to me. You do that, and I like that. Good job on your 57 swap.

    This is amazing! My daughter is an Orthotics patient of yours and my wife came home telling me about this! We are the Satterfields. Ill catch up on the other videos soon and i look forward to more! One thing that might help with the tire clearance in the back is using springs from a “Z71” tahoe if the Tahoe you used wasn’t a Z71. They are 2” taller than the normal tahoes. But this will obviously make it sit a little taller in the back. You would probably want a leveling/small lift kit in the front to get it to sit level again if it lifts it too much in the back if you tried it this way!

    That looks great! Funny thing is I have access to an 02' Tahoe and I was looking at a 5 window with an 8' bed ( I believe it is a 52'). I just went over to EZ's site and see they use a S-10 for the earlier style pickups, BUT they do have an 8' version. This type of swap is what I too would like to do before I die also. I have CHF and am 64. I found an Avion slide in camper that looks like an Alaskan Camper (aerodynamic aluminum) and is the reason for needing an 8' bed. Was trying for the "old school" early camper setup with modern drivetrain efficiency. Just sub'd and will be checking back.

      @@russellmcconahay7297 Russell it is "congestive heart failure". It has been coming on for some time, so subtle I didn't realize it was happening. But it has sort of "stabilized", still dying from it, but not as quickly they say as I was. So other than the things I need to get done, there are a couple I'd like to get done. I am about the watch the Part 2 of your build.

    Really, really cool truck. Hopefully you don't change the stance too much, maybe up just a little. I think it would look good with old Goodyear sure grips or something like that and stock looking wheels and hubcaps.

    Nice build. I'm thinking of doing the same build, only 2WD. Already have the Tahoe. Now I'm looking for a nice 55 body. Is the kit listed on ez's website? I didn't see it.

    I really like where you are going with this and thank you for sharing the details of the EZ mounts and the variations you had to make. Question for ya, Will you be able to keep this truck titled as a 57 or will you have to use a new VIN, since the frame is not matching? I have a newer truck with a good frame and running gear but the body is rusted out junk. I was thinking of doing something like this but wasn't sure how I would have to "register" it???

    • @russellmcconahay7297
      @russellmcconahay7297  Год назад +1

      That’s a good question I was hoping to register it as an antique because it has no smog control, and will not pass emissions

      depends on your state here in ohio and alot of other states the vin is all that matters i recomend contacting your local state highway patrol and bmv for the exact laws in your state
