Had no idea you were in the thick of it! Glad you are okay and able to help others. Don't worry about us, we'll be here for you when you get life back to normal. Stay safe and help your dad, he is busy for quite a while!
Yah i Was noticing that also . I've built a few bumpers to know its not easy , to make it look that great . Chris your always kil l ing it with everything. Love watching the maching
Hang in there brother. I know what you're going through. I'm from SE Louisiana. Been through it many times. Glad you're ok. Helping your neighbors and your town recover is more important than RUclips right now anyways. I'm sure all your subs completely understand. Stay safe and survive Chris.
I'm so sorry, my friend. I know these are difficult days, but we have to keep moving forward and I know we can get through these difficult times. A hug and strength.
I knew when you did not upload a video on that Sunday that you must have been hit by that bad storm, Glad you're safe and thank you for helping your neighbors in need, This looks like a awesome project hope you find a proper motor for it, God bless you and your family.
Thanks for the video, Do what you need to do with you and your family and take care of things. We will be here when you get your life back together and be safe!
I'm thankful man that y'all made it through a man the whole North Carolina in a proud man that you continue doing the work that you do I'm praying for everyone in North Carolina and around in good health
So glad you're safe. I live in east Asheville near the VA and while there was a ton of damage in our area (Swannanoa got it real bad) we made it out ok too. No permanent damage or injuries. 2 weeks without power, 3 without internet, still don't have drinkable water. My folks live in Brevard and Rosman and they made it through fine. Hang in there brother because it's going to be a long time before things are truly normal again.
Glad you and your family are OK Chris, I can't comprehend that sort of damage, where I live in rural Western Australia we get the very very edge of some cyclone's mostly as a heavy rain storm, winter can get down to - 9c NO SNOW but Frost, and upto and over 45c in summer, to see what you are living through let's us think how lucky we are. Please keep safe I hope the next hurricane misses you as well. Tony from Rural Western Australia 🇦🇺 🦘
Things like this are why I'm such a proponent for solar and wind power. Having those things in place and a decent battery backup for your house can literally be a life saver.
Hi, glad to see you and your family are, ok we feel real bad for all of you in your state hope it all get better soon hang in there and be safe out there and Bless you all.
As a guy who grew up in Puerto Rico I can definitely relate with you guys and what you guys have been through. Hurricanes are no joke and the way some local governments are dealing with those trying to help is disgustingly bad.
Glad you were alright bud, I live near Marion,NC and got pretty lucky too. It’s hard having survivors guilt, seeing how much so how much others are struggling. Glad to see you also got out and help the community, good you man! Let me know if you ever need a hand!
People don't realize how much work you actually do. Besides all the fabrication, you have to spend hours editing and uploading, and then there's life struggles. God Bless Chris and hope you and the neighbors pull through and receive all the help you need.
My buddy just moved to Asheville last summer. His house was the only house in his area still standing. All 4 of his neighbors lost everything. Cars, houses, garages totally gone. There is still no road leading to his house and im sure the just got power a few days ago. His work building is no longer there also. Prayers and thoughts to those people are still needed. 🙏
30 minutes south of you Chris. Just glad you and the family is safe. So many was lost yet found. Definitely gonna be a while before our home town is back to what we call or feel is normal. Nice to be able to sit down and watch a brothers RUclips video. Wasn't even sure if you was gonna upload this weekend or not kinda glad you did man. Hope all is well out towards Weaverville. I know I'm late on a response, if you need a extra guy, saw, or truck don't hesitate to ask, same goes for your pops. Besafe buddy and hopefully you had a good weekend, same goes for this week. A brother to another🤜🤛
Reminds me of Katrina. I was living in NOLA when that happened and became a control system engineer on the pump stations after. Glad you and your family made it out okay! My wife and I built a house in Charleston, SC two years ago. Only a few trees down for that storm, but luckily no damage.
Hey Chris, we totally get the situation. We all understand that it is more important to take care of your family and yourself than it is creating content for us to just sit back and watch while you all have such a crisis on your hands. If there's anything any of us can do, don't be afraid to reach out to us. I live 2 hours from Asheville, and I'm willing to help in any way I can.
I honestly didn't think that storm was going to go that many miles inland. Thought it was just going to stay around the golf states. Glad you're doing well all things considered. Stuff can be rebuilt and replaced. Hope more roads have been cleared by now.
Glad to see you came out okay. I flew my super STOL Bush plane there to fly out some relatives. I then offered up my service but was declined. A few days later after they had better Logistics worked out. I was there for about a week with the helicopter that's mostly at the Arizona Ranch. Receive my pilot's license through CAP (Civil Air Patrol) in 1971. And been flying search and rescue missions ever since. This is the worst I have ever witnessed. In 2007 we had a ice storm come through the Ozarks. We received 7 to 8 in of ice on everything. A few thousand trees or close to 90% of my Oaks Persimmons and sassafras were damaged. Ranch is nearly two sections. Not much happened to the hickories. Our area was without power for 3.5 weeks. Solar panels were encasedin ice. And the wind turbine broke. But we did have a LPG generator. And a 1000 gallon underground tank. I suggest you get an LPG carburetor for your generator and if you can't bury a tank at least get a couple hundred pound cylinders tucked away safely. Propane does not degrade with age. Ever There are also real nice 12 volt cookers and refrigerators or coolers that use superconductor technology. They are very efficient. And make sure you have a way to filter water. It is the very Basics to make sure that you can get by without being dependent. And that also helps you be charitable. What goes around comes around. I've dragged raced. Also did drag boats in tractor pulls on somebody else's dime. I did mud bogs for nearly three years. Also did desert racing. Biggest races I was in was in the Mint and Frontier 400s in 1980 40 years ago I was dealing with the go-kart sized bodies. But I find them too small, especially at my age. The smallest I now build anything is 72 -82 inches I now shape my own molds for custom bodies. ABS or polycarbonate makes for very inexpensive almost indestructible lightweight bodies. And the heated vacuum forming enclosures are inexpensive to build. With that wheelbase you can run any powertrain and fit your head safely inside the cage. No more making concessions because it's just not enough room. 🚜🤠🐂
'September 30th, think it's four days later, I need to look at a map.' Chris it is obvious, the lack of sleep, stress, lack of power was having on you. Don't worry about the schedule, yourself and family is more important, take care.
Project suggestion. Hot plate adapter for small engine exhaust outlet. Instead of wasting gas on running an electric hot plate off a generator use the exhaust heat and save the electricity for something else
Roll cage looks like a stock car , very cool , nascar , from my side of the world , Australia to be exact , love your videos and have been a subscriber for a long time , keep it up champ!
I'm glad you and the fam are OK. Hopefully your neighbors are doing better, as well. PS - The storm damage gave me flashbacks to 2004, when Charley, Francis, and Jeanne rolled thru my neighborhood one after the other. The town looked like it was carpet bombed. We bounced back, though.
We drove through the Lake Lure, Chimney Rock, Gatlinburg, Asheville area a week before the storm hit. We commented to our friends how nice an area it was and wouldn't mind visiting again. So much of it is destroyed now. Sad. Glad you are ok.
Chris bro take care of yourself and your family and neighbors I for one don't mind the delay so when you get your necessities back and can without struggling start making videos again I will be waiting. Have had y'all in my prayers God bless
Glad all is well with your family, you need to build a 48v solar system for when you can't get power it would make great content other than fabricating and give you a break lol.
I agree with you this unique body is dictating. what you are having to do in terms of fabricating the chassis. but I have to say this project is coming along fairly quickly. but that is probably due to the fact that you are using more complete components in this build. which eliminates some of the tedious and time consuming process of building a project like this. After all the time watching your videos, I never noticed that you live so far out in the timber. where there are a lot of trees. and severe storms have a way of raising havoc with trees. amazing that your place didn't suffer too much damage. you quite lucky in that respect. but it appears that a lot of your neighbors and the rest of the area weren't so lucky? it's great to know that you're okay. don't worry about your upload schedule go take care of yourself and the rest of your community. to get back on your feet again. I think I can speak for everyone? that we can wait patiently for you to be able to work on the projects and upload your process on them. hopefully very few to no one got hurt from this act of nature.
next time you lose power, you could build a rocket stove and have a stainless griddle on top to cook with instead of propane heater. glad you are okay and i am excited to see how the build turns out.
Glad you and your family is safe.
We can wait.
Glad you are okay. Good on you and your dad, checking on neighbors and clearing trees!
Had no idea you were in the thick of it! Glad you are okay and able to help others.
Don't worry about us, we'll be here for you when you get life back to normal.
Stay safe and help your dad, he is busy for quite a while!
Glad to hear you are safe. Many other places got slammed. Do you first, and videos when you have time.
Bro is a wizard with that hand bender. I’m an electrician, so I know the skill it takes to make this beautiful pipe work. Awesome job.
Yah i Was noticing that also . I've built a few bumpers to know its not easy , to make it look that great . Chris your always kil l ing it with everything. Love watching the maching
The infamous "as a" move... Nice.
Are you saying you don’t bend EMT as well as he bends tubing?
@ I’m an actual electrician. I don’t bend pipe, period. That’s wireman work.
I totally forgot you lived around there until the video. It’s crazy. Glad you’re safe and hope everything gets back close to normal soon.
Hang in there brother. I know what you're going through. I'm from SE Louisiana. Been through it many times. Glad you're ok. Helping your neighbors and your town recover is more important than RUclips right now anyways. I'm sure all your subs completely understand. Stay safe and survive Chris.
Thankful to hear your surviving. Let's hope next upload is on a good note.
You're philosophy has served you well so far.
I'm so sorry, my friend. I know these are difficult days, but we have to keep moving forward and I know we can get through these difficult times. A hug and strength.

Glad you and your family is safe. Crazy.
Thank you for the true local footage. Now that the weather has done it's damage, be cautious of the con artists posing as contractors.

Good luck and health.
22:52 me when I don't pay my electrical bill LOL. 🤣
Happy you’re okay, it seems like you guys got the brunt of it
From ASMR to OMFG 😮

you could save a lot of space with pushrod suspension
Not really. You still have to have control arms and the coilovers mounted somewhere. It doesn't solve the spacial issues around the driver
Every inch counts!
I again want to emphasise my deep desire to see a Honda VFR750 og 800 engine in this, just seems like a V4 is suited for a mini muscle car
Olá amigo que triste quanta detruição,mas dias melhores virão!!!
Boa sorte a todos aí!!!
Looks fun and awesome, would love to live through something like this once but doesn't happen in my country
Nice video!!!
My sincerest apology’s for what u are going through. 😔We are a resilient nation. We’ll get through it. 🤙🏼
Chris bro take care of yourself and your family and neighbors I for one don't mind the delay so when you get your necessities back and can without struggling start making videos again I will be waiting. Have had y'all in my prayers God bless

Safety first fun second
THANKS A LOT
Glad your safe, we can wait, this would be a good opportunity to help out that loud mouth neighbor and score some brownie points...
Do what you have to do. Everything else can wait.

Put a V8 in! LOL and WOW what a mess that thing made!
next time you lose power, you could build a rocket stove and have a stainless griddle on top to cook with instead of propane heater. glad you are okay and i am excited to see how the build turns out.
Keep posting daily!!! You have an audience!!! And a ton of supporters!!!
Really would like to see you build a custom sport quad, something that could take on a 450 and smoke it.
Didnt know you was in NC, im actually not too far from you, greetings from Mayberry
