It's pretty incredible how many remakes Hollywierd can make from one Original Play. No wonder they have to pay big bucks for screen plays and written material. I suggest you look up "Mr Deeds Goes to Town (1936) Gary Cooper". THAT'S where Sandler got his idea from. The original movie just like most all of the movies today was taken from an earlier movie which was actually even better than the Sandler remake. It's a bit different but mostly in better ways. Jean Arthur is the "Damsel in distress" Or The plant if you will and Gary Cooper is so much more likable than Adam is in his role. IMHO. Then There's "Brewsers Millions (1985)" With Richard Pryor and John Candy. That remake is a LOT of FUN! Richard is extremely creative in how he has to spend his 30 Million before he gets a real inheritance of 300 Million. It slightly different but based on the same movie premise of the Inheritance and a the time line to be able to inherit it all. It's based on another old movie of the same name from (!935) starring Jack Buchanan. Which is based on an earlier Movie from (1921) starring Fatty Arbuckle which is based on a Play from (1914) of the Same name Brewsters Millions. LOL. It's pretty amazing how Hollywierd regurgitates the same stuff over and over once one generation forgets about the movie made in theirs time they redo it again. LOL. Don't get me started on "Heaven Can Wait" lol.
