From 32:09-32:21 the script dialog is an inside joke by the episode's writers, R.S. Allen and Harvey Bullock. Carter's reference of, "Persky and Denoff" is a tribute to the creating team of Sam Denoff and Bill Persky. Together they were the creators and producers of the 60's sitcom, "That Girl". Separately they were writers, producers and directors for such classic TV shows as, "McHale's Navy" and "The Dick Van Dyke Show", just to name two. Sam Denoff passed away at age 83 in 2011 and Bill Persky will be 93 in September of 2024. Allen and Bullock wrote many episodes for the shows both Denoff and Persky either created, directed or were the producers of, especially "The Dick Van Dyke Show".

Psst... Hey Deb, it's usually better to have the other person involved when you are having a conversation with them.
