Made this in the Instant Pot with baby potatoes and only cooked it 4 minutes. Also used browned the sausage first and used fresh green beans with a cup of chicken broth. Tasted great. Thanks. :-)
Mikey, I make this exact same recipe but I drain the green beans reserving the liquid. Then I add 2 cans cream of mushroom soup to the liquid and mix well. Then pour soup mixture over all in crockpot. The family calls it "mom's mess"! It is loved by all!
Definitely will try this. It looks amazing. We love sausage in our family, potatoes and green beans. This dish is perfect. Have to admit I also have a hard time opening those packages of sausage. Thanks for making me feel I am not the only one.
Ok with a full belly of this stuff I can give my honest review. Although I did modify it by adding two cans of cream of mushroom soup. This was so delicious and not only did you earn yourself a loyal Subscriber, I will also be looking at your wife's recipes. If a crockpot dish as simple as this is this good, I cant wait to try your other recipes!! Side note: if you decide to add the 2 cans of cream of mushroom soup, I would suggest only adding two undrained cans of green beans. (I used 4 of the smaller canned green beans) This will make it creamier. Or leave it with all undrained to make it more like a stew. I will also try some crumbled up bacon in it or on it next time. Great job!!! 😋✋🤤🤤
Like I always tell anybody lookin' for GOODe recipes...look for ANYTHING with Mississippi in the title. Especially beef roast or chicken. If you've never tried it, your mind will be blown! ~Mikey
I have made this as well, I did not use canned green beans, I just used frozen green beans and as Denise, I also added a can of cream of mushroom soup,, one of our favorites here.
Made this today, sorry I did change the seasonings up to be more me. It was off the chain. My hubby and I used cornbread to sop up all that yummy juice. This recipe is definitively a keeper! Thanks for posting it!
It taste better if you fry up some Bacon & cut into 1/2 in pieces , & add some of the bacon Fat yummy! Sometime I even throw in some Rotel Tomatoes. Or Diced tomatoes!
It's almost a sin to not add some greasy bacon to this dish. And actually, once I was a little short on green beans, and added some corn in it too. It was pretty good that way too!
try placing the sausage on top of the green beans so the sausage juice drains down on both the beans and potatoes. give the green beans a wonderful meaty flavor.
i have been using your recipes and my husband is likeing everything i have fixed we had the pork chops today with the gravy made from the chicken broth except i used a vegetable broth instead and it worked great
I love to watch you guys; you are so funny! :) A tip to help with the salt/seasoning issue, is to season every layer. In other words, season the potatoes when you put them in, season the next layer, onions. Canned green beans are already salty so not necessary to season them unless you like them more salty than they are, the same with the sausage; season to taste, or not, if you think they are salty enough.
I was just looking for a simple green bean crock pot dish to take to work. I didn't click on your video at first because it was too long, but I eventually clicked because every other video had recipes that required too much work for simple green beans. I was not expecting to start laughing within the first 30 seconds and throughout the whole video. Thanks for the entertainment, you guys are great! Subscribed! and I'm taking this recipe to work with me. :)
Simple recipes are always the best. I like to use golden Yukon potatoes, and chicken broth in mine with various seasonings. I’ve found that the waxy potato absorbs more liquids and flavors. Russets absorb butter somewhat okay but a waxy potato does it all. 😍
Been making this for years only on the stove top never thought to do it in the crock pot and since this is what I'm making for dinner tonight I am going to go throw it in my crock pot this time :)
And don't forget to slap the ding a ling so you know when new videos get posted. You know the production value is going down when a viewer has to say it. Lol.......WAKEY UP MIKEY!!!!!!!
I know this video is old but hot damn is this recipe good I found and made this recipe today and it was so easy and good my 6 year old and hubby loved it!
He is pretty funny! You guys are a funny duo :) What kind and how much liquid did you guys add? I subscribed!! Im making this tonight! Thanks it looks delicious!
We don't, but you can totally use deer burger in place of beef! I'd recommend adding a little fat to it, such as butter or oil though, as deer meat is way leaner than beef. ~Mikey
Melody Nichols We've never tried it with radishes before so I don't wanna lead you astray. We are eating low carb as well and can recommend the bacon, green beans and cabbage recipe that we eat all the time! If you prefer sausage over bacon you could sub it in, or use both and call me over for dinner! 😁 Here's the link: www.recipesthatcrock.com/crock-pot-bacon-green-bean-cabbage/ ~Mikey
As GOODe As It Gets thank you I may try half potatoes and half radishes just see how it tastes! But I love the cabbage idea too! I’ll let you know how it turns out!
I have this cooking in the crock pot right now! Already smells heavenly!
Love your videos! Makes my day to watch them! Your joy and laughter are infectious!

I have made this for years, my kids love it.

Thank you so much for this recipe my family loved it!
Yay! We love hearing that!!!

Add some bacon to it as well, and it's even better!
I have made this as well, I did not use canned green beans, I just used frozen green beans and as Denise, I also added a can of cream of mushroom soup,, one of our favorites here.

Good idea going to fry up some bacon now I started my crock pot an hour ago
Yum!
try placing the sausage on top of the green beans so the sausage juice drains down on both the beans and potatoes. give the green beans a wonderful meaty flavor.

Made it yesterday along with some corn bread. A great meal! (And good as leftovers too!)
That is how we eat it too.

With the food that woman cooks you bet I love you eat! Mikey is the cute one with the beard, by the way. Cris is the giggler behind the camera :)

This is a pretty good main dish
Looks good.. country ham chunks would be good but cut back on salt some if you do because of ham being salty
I'm so making this tomorrow
You are hilarious but a good cook can’t wait to make this
Here in the south we serve this over rice!!!
I like using an adjustable mandolin to slice the sausage in 1/4" thick slices
Yummy!
Haha my husband makes those sausages (we works for that company)
going to try it soon, thx
Can you use fresh green beans?
Ok I tried it! The radishes taste just like potatoes it is wonderful I’ll try to send ya a picture!!!!
YAY! You cand send the pics to Mikey@RecipesThatCrock
Can I use cocktail weiners instead of the long sausage?
Got this going in my crock right now. Smells amazing in here 😋
Do you have a jumbo crockpot or something?
I noticed that you have a lot of crockpots which one is your favorite and which one are you using today for the sausages potatoes and green beans?
My hand is up I would like to see her do the cooking
Would like to try this but do not use canned veggies only fresh
How many people does this serve??
That dog can have my share of that Eckrich sausage. LOL
"We like the skin around here" LOL
And don't forget to slap the ding a ling so you know when new videos get posted. You know the production value is going down when a viewer has to say it. Lol.......WAKEY UP MIKEY!!!!!!!

He is pretty funny! You guys are a funny duo :) What kind and how much liquid did you guys add? I subscribed!! Im making this tonight! Thanks it looks delicious!
Poor Michael
I was raised on this recipe by my mom! Super simple and very satsiating!
I thought you were moving that first crock pot onto the stove to cook it on top the stove and I got scared 😅
Oh man! I forgot the onion!!! Bummer.
she is right, its not funny. but her reaction was flippin hilarious. do it again for sure.
Can I use baby red potatoes for this recipe?
Eileen Ging-Auleta Absolutely!
Good deal thanks!
i agree they are not to open it makes me cuss everytime i feel for you
How do the cooked green beans not get overcooked for 8-10 hours?
That's why you don't drain them. A low setting with all that liquid keeps them juicy but not burnt!
Lollll he’s funny 😂😂😂❤️
hey if you curl your fingers when you cut you would not have to worry about cutting them off.
Raising hand.........FREE MIKEY!!!!!
my husband hunts deer do you have any with ground deer meat i like to use it instead of hamburger
We don't, but you can totally use deer burger in place of beef! I'd recommend adding a little fat to it, such as butter or oil though, as deer meat is way leaner than beef. ~Mikey
Where's the bacon??
I guess you buy your salt in the 5 gallon tub at Costco.
+Jeff Miller Nope, Sam's Club 😁
B
Im on a very low carb diet could I substitute potatoes for radishes and if so how many bags would I use? Thank you I love yall!
Melody Nichols We've never tried it with radishes before so I don't wanna lead you astray. +Melody Nichols Please do!
some Hoosier stew lol
You know not to put knives in the dishwasher it dulls them
I have never heard of that....interesting. How would that happen??
The detergent dulls them and can also change the color of the metal. Also, chance of injury to your fingers getting them out of silverware holder.
Hahahahahalololohaha😂😃😀😄🤣😂😃🙂😄😃😆😊😊😁😊😉😆😄🤣😂😃😅
Canned Green Beans? FAIL!
BAD MIKEY!!!!!! NOT EVEN FUNNY AS A BAD JOKE!!!!!!
I have not made this in a crockpot yet. I have only made it as a casserole.
