If you go to Whistler this year, let me know! I'd love to make it out there again soon. I'm gonna be making more of a point to do out of state trips this year, bike and otherwise.
Thanks Todd! I was supposed to ride Squamish on this trip but being sick and rainy weather quelled that plan. The riding there looks incredible. I'm hoping to make it happen in the not too distant future.
For the POV stuff I use a hero4 with a evo ss gimbal or a hero7. Settings are pretty standard - 4K, 30fps, flat color. I've got a Sony Rx100V and a a7iii that I'll use for the 3rd person shots. Sometimes I'll break out the iphone.
Well done on the video dude! Pretty jealous of you PNW trip. I have a good friend living in Bellingham and he keeps telling me how sick the riding is. Hoping to finally get out there this year and also do Whistler for the first time!
You gotta do it. There are so many trails around Bellingham. I barely scratched the surface. And Whistler! That's a must ride for any mountain biker. You'd have a blast out there.
I don't know. Every time I checked before Christmas it didn't feel safe to me, but I haven't looked in a couple of weeks. Last year was kind of anomaly because we had all of that cold weather and no snow early in the winter so we got that nice clear ice.
I do a fair amount of ice fishing in the off season, and the lakes I've been on have 6-8 inches. Unsure about Minnetonka, and I would be cautious on the channels just like Kris said in the video.
Good stuff.
Aaron Cobb Thanks!
That was a pretty solid trip you had lined up. I'd love to ride the PNW. That's not an easy drive out west either. Some serious miles.
Yeah, it's a haul. I think I did almost 7000 miles on that trip. But it's worth it. The amount and quality of riding out there is amazing.

You got it man!
So wait. There's a bike just sitting there in the channel waiting to get picked up? Hmm. Thanks for the video.
Ha! Apparently. Break out the dredging tools.
@@KrisYahner I can snorkel twenty feet easy.
Very cool video. Those drone views of you guys riding over the frozen lake are incredible!
Thanks! We really lucked out with ice conditions and weather.
Good stuff as usual, Kris. I was able to hit B'ville and Whistler (and Squamish) myself this year. Looks like you hit more of the tech in Whistler.

What's your filming set up? What settings are you using?

Great vid! 🍻
Thanks D! Appreciate that!

It kind of makes no sense that you have very good and high quality videos but you don't have like a billion subs.
Ha! We'll get there! Thanks for the support
Riding across those lakes looks really fun, is the ice anywhere near solid enough to do that yet?
