- I celebrated my 30th birthday by climbing, biking, and hiking on the same day! After hiking my age in miles last year, I decided I wanted to try something different. So I chose three things that have been a huge part of my 20s: I learned to climb, bought my own bike, and moved to the PNW to hike! My big sister, Sophia, joined me for this challenge, which made it extra special! Comment below with how you plan to celebrate your next birthday!

There are so many active people in the comments...for my 24th birthday (in March) I got a nice hotel room, followed a Bob Ross painting tutorial, and ate some ice cream. It was nice.

I love that you did this. My running partner turned 54 a couple weeks ago, we did something similar. 5.4-mile run, 540-yard swim, and indoor climbed 540 total feet. Absolutely a blast and will continue the tradition...Completely enjoy your videos. Keep them coming...

I just celebrated my 42nd birthday by going on a hunt for fossils in Fossil, OR. There was other hiking and digging and camping plans, but I ended up with heat sickness two days in a row, packed it in, and went home. Today's high: 115 F.

This was a fun video! I liked that Miranda's sister was in the video and sometimes I couldn't tell them apart! (Well, masks, bike helmets, sunglasses -- I mean, they aren't twins!) What a great birthday! And it fell short of poop references, stopping with only poo.
We need more of you hanging with your sister. You could create a channel of bloopers. 😜👍

When my son was younger, I threw his bday party at a climbing gym. All of the kids and myself (a kid at heart), had such a great time.

My 33rd Birthday Triathlon will consist of:
-Early morning surf
-Late morning round of golf
-Afternoon snowboarding

Happy belated birthday! 31 could just be three activities you love in one day. So, like this, but less mileage. Or three (small) hikes in one day. Slumber party with three friends in one large tent. Three mile hike with one massive cake in your bag for the summit. Three states in one road trip. Three national parks (or any type of park) in one weekend. Three day solo (1) backpacking trip (but...crew kinda makes that not happen) || My 38th is next month and I'm hoping to do my first solo overnighter! With it will also be a "forest fly" private with 5th Wall Studio (a harness dance company in NY). Basically I'm rigged in a harness with hints on either side go my hips and dance like a marionette puppet while a guy raises and lowers me (similar to a belay system, but not). Its beautiful and fun, and they have an outdoor stage in the woods in New Paltz, NY to do this. There's also a flying trapeze. This was supposed to happen last year, but I sustained a grade 2 ankle sprain while not-fully-recovered from a grade 3 on my other ankle. Womp.

This is such a neat idea!! I turn 33 in February, and I’ve never done like a *Thing* for myself for my birthday, but I’ve honestly been thinking about it lately. May have to give that some more thought.
My 30th will be my friend's rehersal dinner in Tennessee near the Smokies, so we are going hiking the day of. It will be my first hike in one of the big 63 National Parks.
For my mom's 61st (delayed 60th because of 2020) we are taking her backpacking in Cumberland Gap National Historic Park. It will be her first step toward the Camino del Santiago which she wants to do when she retires.

Happy belated birthday! Maybe for your 31st you could do something international. The US is great and holds many treasures, but it's a big world with lots more to see. I'm lucky enough to be spending my birthday (next month) in Ecuador during a 6 month trip that I'm 2 weeks into.

Haha, that was fun. Yes, live in the moment and take your time to appreciate as many of them as you can. I went to Alaska for fly fishing for my bucket list and I still had to remember to stop, breathe, and be in the moment and experience everything that was around me. It was too easy to just do the schedule, get the fish, and power through it without taking a moment to enjoy what I was really doing there in the first place. :)
On my 61th birthday my son took me to Isle Royale National Park in Michigan and it was amazing!!!

For my 30th bday, I took a road trip from my house in Virginia to Arizona to hike and in the desert! Sedona was amazing. Got home a week ago, can't wait to go back :D
Happy Birthday! For my 30th birthday I set a goal to hike 100 miles before I turned 31. I'm about halfway now, and loving the extra reason to try new trails and do longer hikes than what I've done in the past.
