    • @jackstar-o4728
      @jackstar-o4728 3 года назад +1

      I'm a lotta time in f runna mirror, I memorized tons of idioms, I mimicked people on RUclips and strived to imitate the intonation they're using, made a phrase book, therefore I can not down the essential I need to know about, and lotsa things also but that just what popped in my mind. I know sound promising and a lot but it was tough at the beginning. I advise, to take the initial step, always look to your process and phases ya were in, not to your drawbacks "only"!

    Speaking to yourself in a foreign language is a very powerful technique. But some people find it really annoying. For instance, my wife says that sometimes she thinks that i've gone mad.

    Love this. Yes I identify with your way of speaking to yourself. What I have written and pasted to the wall above my PC are the following: " No cheap seats!" Meaning, don't play to the cheap seats; Forgot where I heard or read this, but it made a lot of sense to me. And - Keep your sense of Optimism! Keep your sense of Empowerment! [ this one I got from (now President) Joe Biden].

      I found in google Wuffy. A supernatural being to whom thirty or forty years ago was attributed any act of
      carelessness or mischief in a workshop to which no one would own; unruly
      children were told that WUFFY would take them if they were not good. WUFFY was
      peculiar to Carlisle, and haunted Whooff Brow. CARL. EXPRESS, 1904, Oct. 29, p.

    Why do people in the South of England pronounce the words can't, last or past differently from up north. They say larst or carnt it sounds like there is an r after the A. This is not how it is spelt.

    • @engvidBenjamin
      @engvidBenjamin  3 года назад

      English pronunciation does not always follow how things are spelt. No idea why accents develop, but the northern sound is distinctly different to the southern one.
