In general, your best nightmare is completely chaotic, and it fits with the fight very well because of that. in the mist of chaos, whenever soul appears, you can hear familiar leitmotiv, each one being a bit clearer that the last, finale is a part where chaos becomes controlled, and so leitmotiv becomes clear, as it finally managed to break through the chaos.
One thing i love about this music is it progressively sounds like you're repeating the same specific sections of the music because flowey keeps reloading save states. GOD I LOVE YOUR GENIUS TOBY FOX Edit: forgot to mention that at the end it stops doing that because that's when flowey loses his power to reload save states

Toby did an amazing job when it came to flowey. Flowey's whole objective was for you to do all the work so that he didn't have to (and couldn't). Flowey couldn't get the souls because Asgore was protecting them. I absolutely love Flowey's role in Undertale.
I’m guessing Part 4 was supposed to be used between Soul 6 and Finale, where *ALL* of the souls would flash on the monitor when the alarm sounded, and the player would think that they would all be attacking at once, but then they pull a sneaky on ya and help you out
