Gosh that’s exactly what I was thinking. Freaking crybaby counters everything and then when no more counterspells are available they just concede. What a waste of time, it was excruciatingly boring and annoying to watch, let alone experience. How do people enjoy these decks?
Hi LVD, I was the one playing the Abuelo deck, it was probably my favourite deck from before the rotation so I'm checking it in the new meta, unfortunately the loss of the Otherworldly Gaze and Faithful Mending knocked it down a tier, they were such powerful enablers for self-mill strategies. Anyway, that was a fun match, GG.
I really appreciate you putting the cards your talking about in the top left. As someone who plays casually enough to know mtg terms but not know all the fancy cards and combos its immensely helpful

Loved the rock/paper/scissors comparison and glad you put reanimator as scissors! More reanimation decks! They are just so much more fun then whatever people play!
Hey Legend! Actually looked up one of your retro videos from 5 years ago to help me build a Izzet Thousand-Year Storm control deck for historic! I'm loving it very much and it's great that your content is still relevant so many years back, though yours was Bant flavored but still, helped me out!
I tried Badlands Revival with this as I only have 2 Coiling Rebirths, if you get back Ghalta and return another creature from graveyard to hand, Ghalta will can put that creature in too, you also have the option of returning an enchantment for draw.
Sweet! I was hoping you would make a deck like this since you played against it in your naya legends video recently. I was inspired to make one too and this is helping me a lot to hone it. Thanks!
This deck is so unique and hilarious 😂 I was playing with it earlier and was able to attack with a 26/4 lattice dino on an empty board against control. I dont think he had any idea what was going on lol
Hey LegenVD! Amazing video I’m working on trying out this deck! Super expensive tho 😅! Anyways can you upload more videos using this deck? This was super entertaining and the combos were crucial!
Not gonna lie, I love watching any deck wreck any form of blue control. I'd rather play against mono-red 24/7 than any form of blue control. How anyone finds that enjoyable is beyond me. Also, yay dinosaurs.
i have blue white control in modern built and play it in every format on arena. I love shutting down what people are trying to do and watch them eventually give up instead of outright lose
I also hate playing against blue based control, right next to black based discard. But believe it or not, my favorite decks to play with are UW control and bant ramp control. I like control because I enjoy the process of playing from behind, to stabilizing the board, to holding answers for any threat my opponent can draw and thus me winning. If my opponent doesn't recognize that they've lost, then I can even extend that enjoyment for 5 or 10 more turns. This is more fun than, let's say, mono red where I would build my board up, attack, win, and game over by turn 3. Oh I know most of my opponents don't like playing against me, the feeling is mutual. But let's face it, variety is the best thing about Mtg, even more so than winning itself. However, each strategy exists for a reason. I don't understand why my brother decided to go vegan either, but I love him nonetheless.
Dude, just found this on ladder a couple of hours ago I didn't knew what was my opponent doing but it seems like a cool deck. Sadly for him I had leyline binding for the haste enablers and did the herd migration + imodane's recruiter combo
This came out less than 30 minutes ago when I clicked on this video. I just played up against almost the exact same deck. He almost popped off but didn't find haste dino or Ghalta or else I was for sure dead. Edit: It's good I clicked this video cause it made it so I knew he might have Brotherhood's End as a sweeper which made it so I pumped my guys to 4 toughness before he used it.
if you have 3 ghaltas and discard one to animate with rakdos, you would immediately sacrifice two of them to the legend rule after putting them into play with ghaltas ETB, dealing 24 damage
There was an aggro card draw mono blue deck last rotation that i loved, using Profts Edict Memory, Duelist of the Mind, etc. Would you consider building something similar for this rotate?
Only watched first game while. Ommenting but when you have rakdos joins up in battlefield and use coiling rebirth on ghalta while having copy of ghalta in hand it would be wise to gift a card for copy. Keep 1/1 sac reaninated one and put ghalta in play and sac it for 12+12 dmg (game1)
A lot of matches against aggro, a lot of matches with some problem (mana, not finding removals, or the reanim spell, or whatever). It's fun but not reliable. I had most of the cards but I wouldn't craft the deck if you need a lot of rares.
Going through the comments will give you some good ideas! Otherwise it's good to look at other BO3 decks that play similar colors to see what they include.
also I really dislike how the new Bloomburrow decks basically come pre-built yeah just put all the good lizards in a deck and that's GG one of the best decks in the format, so fucking boring
Fun deck but don't think I'll be crafting it as my Control dino deck and mid range dino deck is still better in this meta plus they have ramp unlike this deck.
Midrange and ramp variants will struggle a lot more vs the various white control decks that are becoming more popular. They might have a better aggro matchup if they have more cheap removal, but they're likely still an underdog. So in my experience those decks have virtually no good matchups vs the top decks, whereas at least reanimator is favored vs the slower decks.
It warms my heart to see a Blue/White control deck get stomped into the dirt by dinosaurs.
Especially one that found six of their counterspells before they were even half way through their deck
Not mine heart. Blu-White is my sworn enemy!
Gosh that’s exactly what I was thinking. Freaking crybaby counters everything and then when no more counterspells are available they just concede. What a waste of time, it was excruciatingly boring and annoying to watch, let alone experience. How do people enjoy these decks?

He spent so long thinking if he could, he never stopped to think if he should
Totally Triassic levels of value in this one

I would so like to be 16 again and have time to have all these cards and build a deck that beats all 3 styles.
I’m going to have to ask you to start streaming again please, promise to drop 10 gifted! Miss you!
Why not a three three split between rakdos and coiling?
The deck is now primarily designed around Coiling Rebirth. If we go with more Rakdos Joins Up we would play more Etalis for instance.
@@LegenVD ah got it! Yeah that legend clause on rakdos makes it a little more niche. Of course!
