    If your truck payment is 2k take the 500 out every week , same with maintenance put 500 every week, 2k week net is 100k a year still good at 25 years old on a dedicated account with no worries, the important part is saving and investing it properly. Between maintenance and credit you want Minimum 30-40k available, truck might be down a month

      Don't forget... he's going to have to dump thousands into the truck for maintenance. You don't retain your net until your truck can make it so many miles without costing you anything. I'm the end, he's still making $2k/week unless something catastrophic happens, and in that case he could lower good average even more.

  • @jayrag123
    @jayrag123 7 месяцев назад +1

    If you make $3000 a week as an owner operator then you got to consider your pay is really about $2000. That's excellent pay if you home nightly. You probably should save an extra $500 weekly for maintenance. Just save half your pay. Get an accountant because the FEDs gonna get theirs. I remember being at a KW dealership and a owner said he had to pay something like 30k for an engine rebuild.

    I know the feeling, I had a carpet cleaning company, and at its peak it was making around 30k a month, and after I deducted expenses, made repairs, paid employees, paid for advertising, misc costs, I saw around 6k of the 30k, and that was before taxes.
    You made $3100, and out of that you paid your personal expenses, you paid the truck note which might be around $1,000 a month, rent or mortgage, misc. costs, you put away some money for future expenses, it looks like you might have saw $500 that you could have tricked off if you wanted to.
    People see what is coming in, not what is going out...
