787 on Schengen flights is amazing!

Last year I travelled BC with them to Madrid (and on to Gran Canaria), and the cabin had new lay-flat seats. I guess you got the wrong (old) 787 for your flight. But honestly: compare this seat to any other BC on European flights and you'll realise it isn't that bad. Most airlines fly a B737 or A320 on their European flights the where difference only difference with Economy is that they keep the middle seat empty in BC. Main drawback for me (last year) is that apparently Air Europa has a basic-BC fare on which you don't earn Flying Blue miles. I only got XP for 3 out of 4 flights.

Explained it perfectly! These are actually not old aircraft, just taken over from Norwegian and the cabin wasn’t changed. And definitely much better than regular European business class, I originally booked a 2-2-2 config but it got changed last moment sadly. Same with the flying blue XP! Got XP for only the first half of the trip :/
