Your Mandarin is so eloquent, you speak to this man with pure respect, referring the pronoun as Nín instead of ni, all the best to you and I am sure the simple and kind gestures that you have shown on your videos are worth watching, especially for young generation!
I agree. I speak Chinese mysel after studying in Beijing. And you speak fluently and show much respect at the same way, totally embracing the diffences of the culture. Great job of helping that poor old man out! Have a great time travelling in China!
I’m a Vietnam Veteran who was stationed in PhuCat back in 1967-68. While in Vietnam serving, I helped a young shoe shine boy the entire time I was in Vietnam. Bought him a bike and clothes. Vietnam is an amazing and beautiful country. Your caring and loving spirit and your good will towards the locals is admirable! You are an amazing ambassador for the USA!! Keep it up.
the question is, would he do it if he never had thousands of people to show his kind gesture? and knowing he will get more views and subscribers which is more money. it's better to help people in humble ways, privately.
@@JalomMatia actually its not better, as then he would not be able to afford to travel nor would he be able to do things like blessing this man by buying all of his fruit.

Christopher ….this is what makes you attractive ..doing good deeds like this …not because you are bi lingual …giving back to the community like this shows you have a good soul .. now that’s attractive !!! Respect ✊🏻
You are absolutely such a kind heart. It was so emotional to watch what you did for this man. You bet I’m a subscriber and love all your videos ! Let’s spread the love and get Chris more subscribers! We can do it.
It always breaks my heart to see older people working so hard especially in a lot of Asian countries because they're pushed to the back burner when they're deemed "useless to society". I don't know how true that is, but that's what I've been told traveling around and living overseas for awhile.
All depends on the family situation. Traditionally, the children take care of the parents. However, China had the one-child policy for a long time. If the parents out-lived the child, they usually ended up having to make a living anyway they can. With the current lack of marriage and child birth, China will end up with an unsustainable higher elderlies population.
Pretty weird thought process. Seems like throughout countries like China, Vietnam, maybe Laos/Cambodia, not sure. But especially China, Grandparents and even elderly strangers are venerated. A young married couple are expected to take care of parents and if they are still alive, grandparents (glad there’s social security here) as well. A terrible burden on the couple but it’s their duty. Except this poor man is probably in his 60’s-IDK if he said-and he’s considered worthless to society. With nothing to contribute. So he’s out on the street hawking fruit and vegetables. He’ll probably go home to a bowl of noodles with a little meat, maybe, or a bowl of rice. And lay down on a mat on the cold hard floor to try and sleep for a bit until he has to get up in the morning to start over again. Apparently he has no family to take him in. Something is wrong with thais picture!!
He has benefits and medical insurance at home and he can get some help from government as well. The government also provides free land for them to farm and build their houses. That’s why ccp can rule. His living standard may be low but don’t believe him.
Same here hope more sub so he can do more good deeds. I’m stoked he isn’t greedy and shares not only his $$ and Experience he is giving us Americans a name as most of s are.
You are going to have to get used to it, because there is more of it coming. Governments are hoovering up money (expanding inflating debt) to pay for wars and other forms of corruption.
I was homeless for 2 1/2 years in the US. While working, too, because the cost of living is so high. “Americans” were very cruel to me. There were very few exceptions. Government assistance is the biggest fu*king joke. I lived it. I assume you had a comfortable life. @ms.cristinaleon
Always love your videos, so thoughtful to help that elderly man. I hope that any extra money that you gave went towards something he truly needed. Thank you for sharing 😊
That was sweet. I also liked those guys who wanted to give you some money because you spent so much doing a good thing. I forget how many good people I met in China.
Man, what you are doing is great and you have me as your new member subscriber. It goes to shown that Asian culture of hard work and dedication to help put foods on the table for his family. Dude is 60 yrs old if I heard correctly when you asked him and it's midnight and he's still out there with determinations

Tqvm for your kindness. It doesn't matter if he overcharged you because you were prepared to help him anyway. If the fruit is mangosteen, then it is definitely more expensive than local fruit. Wishing you the best.
Thankyou, thankyou. I lived in Thailand as a kid and my parents taught me by example to treat every person with respect and kindness. The ripple effect for humanity And for the U.S. and the safety of our troops (by decreasing the chances of war) is immeasurable. Kindness always matters. 💛

Love what you did Chris! It's interesting to see the difference when you did similar things in Vietnam and China. The aftermath of covid restrictions in China is obvious that people prioritize money even when you offered to buy all of their fruits so they could go home early. It's understandable, I'm not saying I'm against that fruit seller, I know he has no choice. It's this aftermath of 3-year covid restrictions.
