$200 surprise for Vietnamese street vendor 🇻🇳

- 🇻🇳 After my video giving away lychee, I had viewers reach out to me saying they wanted me to do more videos giving away stuff. I had a sweet woman, who wants to remain anonymous, reach out to me and offer to give me $200 to use in any way I want, with the condition I filmed a video helping the people. I don't take offers like that much, as I need to be careful about being very transparent and also communicating with the giver how their money will be used, but after discussing a bit, I decided I wanted to give the money to this sweet lady you see in the video.
I've seen this lady selling here for a long time. She's always there, every night, from roughly 8pm, until 12am, 1am, even 2-3-4am, selling vegetables. She sleeps on the street half the time waiting for customers. So I figured why not let her go home early by buying all her vegetables and tipping her the rest, and then make other people happy by giving it all away for free.
Hope you guys enjoy the video!

What strikes me watching this video is how selfless and kind the Vietnamese people are. They are just taking as much as they need, so there is enough for more people, absolutely no greed whatsoever.
Thank you for doing this Chris and showing us the beautiful country and people of Vietnam. That is possible through your wholesome conversations and journeys.
Good luck!
It's so true. I was in Vietnam in 1999 when it wasn't developed at all and they got hit by huge floods while we were there. There were houses with just their roofs poking out of the water but locals were coming up to as foreigners and giving us dragonfruit and refusing to accept money in return.

Shout out to the green shirt grab driver guy and all the Vietnamese people who came and helped out! What a good people, they really care about one another! The lady selling the vegetable is a kind and good soul and so extremely hard working! She didn’t want to take the money bc she didn’t think the veggies were worth that much. It broke my heart bc she’s a humble soul who is deserving of a good, quality life. I wish her longevity, good fortune, prosperity, and excellent health, and I really hope her business will improve 1000000% and continue to get better and better so she doesn’t have to work as hard and can relax and enjoy life more
Why can't the rest of the world be as amazing as the Vietnamese? Faith in humanity RESTORED!

Sorry to necro a comment, but when I go visit asian countries. I tend to learn whether there's a custom of haggling like the Chinese. Not sure about vietnam as I've never went there before but I found myself being highballed so much in China I was too embarrassed to haggle at first lol.

I even moved to tears when watching this. Thank you for doing this! It shows how much humane and practical to do this. It reminds me that my mom says she buys food from the local vendor in the market, those she thinks deserve to receive, it's like buying and giving them some hope.

Bless you, buddy. I think those with car should not get it and let others have it. If you can afford a car, you're pretty well off in Vietnam.
A few years back I went to a restaurant to eat with my family. There were 5 waiters but only one girl that served us. Others just stand and talk. When we were done, we paid the bill and I asked that waitress to come over. She was scared cause I was from USA and thought she messed up. I think I gave her either 200k or 500k tip. She cried. Giving actually feels REALLY good.
