I've watched a lot of RUclips videos. Countless food videos. But, when Max and Chris were riding to the cơm tấm spot on Max's motorbike and they were making turns, winding through what looked like increasingly narrower spaces, down a twisting alleyway...that was the most exhilarating arrival that I've ever seen. Wow. It really set up the food. What an arrival!
I think the gentleman was complimenting you on your fantastic Vietnamese language skills and for being such a nice guy, hence the ‘good boy’ comment. You’re clearly very friendly, respectful and kind which warms the hearts of the locals 😊❤️👏 This was such a fun video, I look forward to seeing more of your adventures around Vietnam!

Had such a lovely experience with the people. They really are so special and such an awesome vibrant, rustic, traditional, hospitable, and lovely people. Dude you can't blame your clumsiness on lack of sleep! I swear you spill something in all your videos, but that is why I watch because you don't edit out that you're just a traveler like the rest of us and things happen! I was in Vietnam in November and ready to come back in late February! Keep the videos coming so I have places to try!

Vietnamese grammar is simple, but the pronunciation has its own level of difficulty: có, cô, cổ, cỡ, cờ, etc… U get the picture. However, if u want something badly, u will master it. I regret that I didn’t want to learn Mandarin at young age. Good luck. I believe u can master Vietnamese.

người mb thường muốn gọi đúng số tuổi anh , em , cô , chú nhưng người miền Nam thường thích trẻ hơn tuổi . cô , chú thì nên gọi anh , chị . nhưng quan trọng là khi mới biết xưng hô là cô, chú chẳng hạn sau người ta xưng chị ,anh thì nên đổi lại là cho đúng ý người ta muốn sẽ thấy gần gũi và dễ tiếp xúc hơn . ( mình người mb sống trong nam hơn 10 năm rồi )

A lifetime ago, as a small boy living in a place that couldn’t even be call a small “village”,when I first come into contact with com tam, I though it was, take a bath and you eat rice. Oh and a bath for me was a swim in a very clear clean water that run through where my nha san was. Oh and I didn’t know what pho was until I was like 10. There are other things I won’t mention here. So, even for Vietnamese living in Vietnam, it depends on where you live, and individual experiences.
In Vietnam, if you wanna experience the real "Cơm Tấm", we also have the "Cơm Tấm" street area, they sell all Cơm Tấm, compete with each other just because of "Cơm Tấm", you definitely can get the real flavor there 💜

For example, when I crave pizza they make it here too but it's never as good as the one in Italy. Also the best pizza is cooked in an oven fed by wood (forno a legna). 🍕💖🤗

Now the hottest question: what do you think about food back in the US? Please make a dedicated video. I live in Cambodia but I am Italian so food in Italy is great. For example, when I crave pizza they make it here too but it's never as good as the one in Italy. Also the best pizza is cooked in an oven fed by wood (forno a legna). 🍕💖🤗
