JD. Here's how to tell when its your turn.
The line through the symbols are always green when its the teacher's turn but purple when its your's.
When you see purple, that's your que to start shredding.

One thing that used to mess me up is at the end of Lammy’s turn, the guitar strum would cut off so I couldn’t even hear the finished note at the end. So it would mess with my brain a lot. I played this game years later after having it as a 8 year old kid, and I still can’t get this 😂 Plus the plane rocking back and forth made me nauseous.
the storyboard process for this game must have been chaotic. because what is this? first he's trying to enlist her, then starts talking about almonds and then makes her fly a plane. lol
i use to love this game but this stage, the tree cutting stage (i forgot the name) and "Vital Idol" were the hardest ones. this game gets even harder when its time to play as parappa.

Ok this is one of my favorite tracks. I use to die a lot on this one too back in the day. Like URFTBOUND4LIFE said in the comment section look for the purple to know it’s your turn and the green is yours. Also it seems when you play you’re like a millisecond too late on the notes. If you also see a little pause between notes play to the rhythm of the game. It’s not guaranteed you gain points but more often than not you should get something. Best of luck bro!

Also if you’re having a hard time mashing the buttons in tune with one hand use both thumbs to mash on your controller! If you have a lot of triangles on screen and it’s mixed circles use the left thumb to hit triangle and the right thumb to hit circle. This way the timing isn’t so strict for one finger to hit everything. There’s no use for the control pad so left thumb can actually do something. This skill takes a little practice but does have it’s uses from time to on other games depending on what your playing.
