Just to let you know, the items that each opponent gives you in the cutscenes can actually be used in-game by pressing the Select button! It basically allows you to put different effects on Lammy's Guitar, and sometimes it'll give you extra Score for equipping one

So something to learn about PTR1 and UJL is that the timing on button presses is VERY strict, however they fixed this problem in PTR2!

You’d think the buttons wouldn’t be delayed in all games but each game is delayed in timing
Not 2 as far as I’ve seen. 2 is the most responsive by far.
I think it's because it's on ps4/5 with Ps plus wich means that they are streaming it to you wich causes more input latency and lag compared to it running on original hardware

hey bijuu, after you finish the game you can replay it as parappa, it has new songs and the already existing ones become hiphop instead of rock
also, you can press the dpad or select button to change the pitch of the guitar
What does changing the pitch do?

FYI: Losing is not based on your score, it's based on your ranking (bad and awful). If you complete the song with a good or cool rank, you win! Also, at least to me, the game is easier when repeating the button prompts and THEN adding more if you have space. Otherwise your fate kind of rests in the game's opinion more.

There is a easy setting you can turn on in the options menu. It just changes all the buttons to x instead of having to press a bunch of different ones. It makes it soo much easier!

Fun fact The way you did cool mode is how you do cool mod in parapa the rapper you have to freestyle between beats when you do you get cool mode then you have to keep a creative freestyle going I hope this helps also I hope you try vib ribbon some day it's made by the same guys and it's amazing
The onion song is one of the hardest in the whole game (bfw onion is dropping hints in the song about some of the other levels). Sometimes I think this song was developed to be at the end and they just moved it to the beginning for continuity reasons.
it's literally one of the easiest stages to complete :p
This game expects you to be a master when you begin it, but you’ll most certainly be a master by the end.

You have to stay on beat, even when in cool mode. If you button mash it tells you you’re bad and sends you back. One odd thing is in Parappa 1 you can’t actually get COOL mode on the first playthrough. You can only get it after beating the story. In the rest of the games you can get COOL during the story.
Prappa is basically this game's new game+
Good thing this story doesn't take place in real time with all of those attempts.

Ok, I think, I know what is going on: there is a trigger for her: where whenever she sees or hears anything related to a coceno, she goes into this mindset, and whatever she has in her hands, she just has an impulse or an erge to play it (air guitar it) whatever it is
I love how 12 minutes of this is just the first stage
It doesn’t matter how you do really as the songs go on, it only decides if you pass or fail based on your score by the end of the song. If you’re doing less than “good” by the end, then you have to try again but if you finish on good or cool then you pass the level
Just remember, apparently making a guitar out of timber with a chainsaw is faster then putting a baby to sleep

Ayyyy, Bijuu's playing Um Jammer Lammy, I'm really glad because it would have been a big mis opportunity if you skipped past it. I'm glad you are enjoying it! also yes, the timing in both Parappa 1, and UJL are very strange, even if you press the buttons on time they still somehow count as bad sometimes so it's really frustrating. Also, there IS a very good reward after completing the game, I don't want to spoil it unless you've seen it somewhere else, but you should check for it! (UJL is also after Parappa the Rapper 1, but its not the sequel because the main character isn't Parappa, therefore its a spin-off.)
Also, the sound optimizers you collect each stage can be enabled to change the sound of your guitar with the select button! it's not of importance to use but it's a cool and unique feature! and I believe pressing up and down on the D-Pad switches the pitch of your guitar (which won't be important as well, just cool features they added!)

Ryu is such an icon and played a big part in the making of this series. he's a radio MC in japan and there's an interview in youtube that Amber the fangirl did with him not long ago
@@darsterz I didn't hear about the interview, but I've heard everything else. The dude contributed so much to the series - such as writing the rap lyrics to go with Matsuura's music or recording placeholder lines for the characters in the game. It's really cool.

in um jammer lammy when you beat the game you get a secret Parrapa mode where its a different story with the same levels where you can play as Parrapa. and there also a official parrapa anime made in Japan because the games were made in Japan

if you go below awful or have a rating of bad or below by the end of the song you lose which is why he kept losing on the first song.
