  • I created this video to show you all what the Quickjack Wheel Kit is. If you own a Quickjack then you know that they are heavy and not the easiest to move when you're placing them to lift a vehicle. You also know how awesome and helpful a Quickjack is to a shop or garage! Quickjack has lots of accessories to go along with their product including lift point adapters and various rubber pads for pinch welds and even an adapter so that lifting SUVs and trucks becomes easy peasy. They offer multiple models that provide different weight limitations for a range of different vehicles. In this video you see my BL-7000SLX in action.
    Although they offer all of these awesome accessories, I couldn't find anything to assist with fine tune positioning the Quickjack while under a vehicle. Until the beautiful world wide web let me to the Quickjack "mobility kit" on Instagram, @quickjack_wheel_kit.
    This is what this video is really all about, the Quickjack Wheel Kit. This accessory has improved the quality of my Quickjack by a mile! The ease I have when positioning my Quickjack while under the vehicle now is phenomenal and I feel like everyone should have this convenience. I got mine on Etsy by paying with Klarna, meaning the cost was divided into 4 equal interest free payments made bi-weekly. Follow Frank on Instagram @quickjack_wheel_kit and see for yourself how great this product is. Buy yourself one, the first chance you get cause you will NOT regret it.

    I just bought my second wheel kit like the one in the video from Etsy. I bought the first one a year ago for my 6000 ELX and loved it since the 6000 ELX was almost impossible to move around. I recently purchased a 3500 SLX for my small roadster and just bought another wheel kit from Etsy. Even though the 3500 SLX is lighter, it's still not easy to move around. I love this wheel kit and was happy to pay the price.

    Amazing idea and very well thought out and will definitely order me a set when I buy my QuickJacks. The only suggestion/improvement I would like to make is having locking wheels on the outside edge of the QuickJacks. Just a bit of piece of mind so they don’t move on you while setting up the other side

    Those look pretty useful, sliding it in and out from under the car (or back and forth to align the jack points) is a pain in the ass. Unfortunately $330 (plus tax...) is looney toons land. I might put myself together a kit - thx.

      Budget is always a major key to success, so affordability is definitely very important. I use my QuickJacks to service my own vehicles as well as friends and family along with wrenching on customers cars also. So, being able to move the QuickJacks easier was a dream come true for me. I understand that the price is a little steep, but the QuickJacks themselves are an investment. I would rather pay for this durable kit once verses having to continuously use cheap tiny wheels and zip ties over and over again. If you're budget allows the purchase of this kit, don't hesitate. Get it. Thanks for checking out my content and leaving a comment. If you haven't already done so, please subscribe and come back again for new content as soon as it's available. Have a great day!

    I tried the Habit Freight cheap ball bearing rollers which worked well using zip ties but some nice quiet nylon wheels would really make this feel more upscale

    $300? Making this myself is less than $100 at Home Depot. Way too expensive, you might sell more if your pricing are more reasonable vs the cost of DIY. Thanks for the 💡

      Everyone shops to accommodate their own budget. This fit mine and Im fully satisfied with the purchase. Making this yourself is an awesome alternative to the high price tag so I'm glad you're able to do that. Good job on the DIY!

      @Pagweldfab 2 года назад +5

      I'm not looking to sell quantity. I sell quality. I'm all for DIY and saving money. I wish I could lower the price on the kits but when you factor in the R&D time, labor, powdercoating, using high grade hardware and steel (not Chinese garbage from Home Depot) processing and shipping...it adds up. No hard feelings. I'm just providing a solution to a problem.

    What is the gap space to the floor? Or in other words, how much extra rise is added to the lift platform? From your video it looks quite a lot.

    • @csr2funku425
      @csr2funku425 8 месяцев назад

      No added height. As you raise the jack's arms, the wheels lift off the floor simultaneously as the jack frame lowers and lays flat on the floor. The only height added is when the jack is in the lowered position giving clearance from the floor allowing the jack to roll without scrapping the floor.

    Wonder how well it works once you lower back down though🤔

    Probably most people watching this already have a quickjack, but if you happen to be on the fence, read on. I actually have the 7000TL and I'd say it's ok, but only if you're lucky and get one without a defective air cylinder. If you do get one of those you're screwed - Quickjack will 100% not stand behind their product. They'll claim the air-assist down isn't "necessary to the function of the lift". Really? So if one side has air assist down and the other doesn't, and they drop unevenly, that's safe? And then when the vehicle drops to the ground and one side of the lift goes straight to the full down position while the other... doesn't. You need to wait... and wait... and wait for it to drop with no weight on it. Quickjack will claim this "is normal operation" and that "it will get better over time". If you invest a massive amount of time trying to get them to stand behind their product they will, eventually, after burning through every once of customer goodwill, send out a new cylinder. Yay! Until you get the replacement and the freakin' air side is literally capped off. Like intentionally made unusable. That's not a fix guys. Then they'll claim that the engineers decided the down-assist wasn't necessary and that they've changed the design on future models. But I didn't buy a future model with less functionality. I bought the current model with exactly the functionality I wanted, was promised, and paid for. Whatever. Too much time wasted on it already - I've written off the entire company as another skanky marketing hack with no integrity.
    I still have the quickjack in my shop, but the company worked very hard to make me regret my purchase and it low-key pisses me off every time I look at it. And honestly the setup is inconvenient enough that even when I do pull it out - warts and all - it happens very rarely. Only when I have a longer term project where I know the vehicle will be on the lift for a week or two. Definitely not for things like oil or tire changes. It's just way quicker to use a floor jack, or even ramps.

    What’s that shift around 5:08-5:09 mark?
    Do the wheels ever lift weight of the car at the start of the lift process?
    Seems like they might bear weight beyond the weight of Quickjacks themselves.
    Am I wrong?

    • @helpfulhugh1826
      @helpfulhugh1826  Год назад

      Youre not wrong. There is a slight amount of weight on the wheels momentarily during lift. I know this because after many many uses i see that the quickjack doesnt sit quite as high as it did when i installed the wheel kit. But, it hasnt effected the operation of the wheels enough to cause me any concern. It still rolls wherever i need it with ease on my garage floor. Now if your garage floor is uneven enough, then i could see getting hung up on the high points. I hope this helped you out! Thank you for commenting.

      I paid $299 for mine. I'm not sure if they are still that price considering almost everything costs more these days. But if the price has gone up, it's only because pay wages have gone up too, the product is still worth the price in my opinion. 👍

    What a money grab I can build 30 bucks

    • @Pagweldfab
      @Pagweldfab Год назад +2

      $30 will buy you half the hardware you need. Factor in the prototype, early design failures, revisons to the design, cnc laser cut brackets, bending, powdercoating, assembly, shipping/packing, taxes, marketing fees, customer service, etc and maybe you'll understand the price. Anyone can build a bracket kit but I've yet to see the amount of effort and quality put into a kit like the one in this video. I understand everyone has a budget but to call it a money grab is just you not understanding what is entailed in product development and business in general.

      The Automotive Fanatic on RUclips does a hack for $10. using 3 roller bearings. 2 @ 5/8 in. & 1 @ 1 in. At almost $400. The cost for the fancy built-in look is wack. Watch the video and the results take less space and no special tools are required.

      Im seeing $329 which isn't bad. I still stand behind this product as it's helped me out a ton and has paid for itself hand over fist already. The quickjack is probably the best investment I've made as far as my high priced tools go but without the wheel kit, I wouldn't be able to appreciate it nearly as much. If you have a quickjack then you need a wheel kit and I suggest this one.
