I think a neat real grade you could review is the GP01 Zephyranthes It doesn't have too many reviews, and from what I've seen of it,it's actually a pretty solid RG,which reuses most of the frame of the Gundam MK-II,with the main problem being the loose core fighter
Idk if you’ve seen any reviews of this after posting this comment but I actually have zephyranthes and it really is a solid build but the waist comes off super easily. I glued mine but if I hadn’t then it’d be an absolute nightmare to pose.
It has similar issues as this kit. But I would say it is more sturdy. Just make sure you have super glue in hand because that kit the parts just don't stay on. I would say with super some glue the gp is way better than this Saku. Which is a shame because both kits look amazing if you can finish them without braking the zaku, and some glue for the GP.

flimsiness probably comes with time, unfortunately. When I first build my RG sinanju I was also suprised how sturdy it is given it's reputation, I could even pose it with a gun without a problem (which reviewers said is impossible). Unfortunately two months later, I slightly bumped the gun while placing another kit next to it. Nothing major happend, I just moved it's arm a little. Since then I cannot pose the kit with the gun as before, because the joint become too lose to hold the weight. I literally bend elbow one time too much.
I wouldn’t base your opinion off the Sinanju or Zeta. They are notable for being the flimsiest and worst examples of RG kits. I’ve got 10 RG kits and all have been awesome.
@@Fireclaws10 true, only sinanju gave me such headaches, but my point still stands - just because rg frame seems to be quite sturdy out of the box, it doesnt mean it will stay that way. It would have been fun to watch this review if you went into it not knowing anything about RG kits, let alone the early Zaku's. That said, I'm a f'n hypocrite, and the RG Johnny Ridden Zaku was a nightmare of a delicate flower lol With RG's, modelers need to be very precise with assembly, and complete each step 100% properly. Yeah. For anime accuracy, I’d go with the old HGUC or wait for the revive. Bought one yesterday, last one I saw in the store. Would be only my 2nd RG, though I have built none. Already have the revive HG Char Zaku, and white 0083 Zaku. I have broken quite a few HG parts, and not *all* of them via undue force (all HG): F91, Zeta (Revive), Narrative C Packs, Powered GM, Double Zeta (HGUC), GP03s, that I remember right now. Plastic can break, and those kits are rather sturdy. My point being that ERGS is probably an over-exaggeration from an overly enthusiastic Gunpla reviewer that is too popular with the Toutube algorithm, causing his opinions to be deemed as "facts" among many builders. Any kit can have problems-even good ones. Thabks so much for the "old" review, Mr. Kakarot-hope my "advanced" frame doesn’t die too soon in my Zaku II kit.

I got the RG 01 (RX-78-02) about a month ago and it's a mess. It's loose, parts drop off and it's overdesigned to all hell (unnecessary part separation and tiny parts where they could've made things simpler and better). I'm entirely certain that some production lots are just better than others, but early RG's WILL lose their stiff limbs over time as you pose them, so even if you're lucky to get one from a good lot, you'll eventually have a ragdoll RG. This is not "internet speculation" it's just fact and it's not for shits and giggles that Bandai stopped using the pre-molded inner frames.
Sorry, but this kit is super delicate. I broke this bad boy while building the legs which is the first part you start with. I try to fix it but it was useless. All I can say is the frame snaps easy.
Whenever I see a green zaku 2, I remember the poor guy who fell into the atmosphere screaming for char to help him only for char to specifically say that the zaku is not designed for atmospheric reentry. I built this right before the RG granpa and gramps was the only build I've genuinely not enjoyed, this wasn't as bad, but the small parts and the loose skirt were definitively annoying
Why people complain about model kits being fragile and that they become flimsy and that the parts could fall apart. These are model kits. Not action figures.
Fear is the mind killer , embrace the horror and overcome your fear ( buy it build it stick it on the shelf then gaze in wonder at what you have wrought unto the world😎)
It's not a toy intended to be played with. I usually find a pose and leave my kits for months until I clean or pose them again and because of that I've never had an issue with joints getting too loose. If someone wants something they can play with, they should get the Robot Damashii version. Those are cool too. The internet exaggerates almost everything.

Me: *gasp* this man is multi-cultural!
Just check out his background scenery a few different series there And who doesn't love themselves some halo
as unlikely as it is, an RG Zaku III would be dope.
Its funny it looks better in your video than stock shots all the websites use. You saying it wasnt as bad as people made it out to be made me wonder, does Bandai ever do revisions on Kits? Like fix some of the issues we all read/or watch in reviews
surprised you didn't mention the little squares in the chest. I have 3 of the Hi-mo RGs and I had to glue them in on all three because they fell out when I looked at them
and then the HG The Origin Zaku's had somewhat slightly better articulation than the RG kit, lol.
I bought 1 for $12 at my local book off store. Can't go wrong with 12 bucks lol
thats a steal
You should make a list about villain Gundams. I count that there are a bit under 30 evil/antagonist/villain Gundams in the series.
Main Antagonists
GP-02A
Epyon
Master Gundam
Virsago/Ashtaron
Turn X
Providence/Legend
Reborns
Legillis
Villainous Gunpla
Exia dark matter
Gundam The End
Astray No name
Gundam Seltsam
Alus Earthree
@@GojiraFan-in9oo I counted almost 30 examples in the franchise.
Lol, the halo wars theme in the background
Leg joint is the weak link of this kit. If you reinforced it. It's quite ok
Sorry, but this kit is super delicate. I broke this bad boy while building the legs which is the first part you start with. I try to fix it but it was useless. All I can say is the frame snaps easy.
Lucky you, I bought 2 and on both the skirt pieces are loose and just won’t fit and the 2 little chest pieces I lost too
Me in 2022: "wow this Zaku RG looks like a good kit to start with"
Me in 2024: "more, more Zaku" **buys another Hi-Mob RG**
These kits need a 2.0. So bad. I love zakus. I buy the p bandai rgs all the time. But I hate the pipes. I hate the small pieces falling out
Whenever I see a green zaku 2, I remember the poor guy who fell into the atmosphere screaming for char to help him only for char to specifically say that the zaku is not designed for atmospheric reentry.
We see it getting destroyed later... Half the time I'm thinking that the poor guy literally got baked alive in there before the ms got destroyed.
Chat promised him that his death will not be in vain. But char never managed to kill amuro and he is instrumental in the fall of zeon.
So what did the poor pilot die for?
he died for absolutely nothing
@@s0meRand0m129 you just summed up all the wars of universal century.
@@orangeyellow9695 I did what?
12:23 Where can I buy springs small enough that can fit with the pearls??
It was better than I was expected 😂 damn I need hold and don't buy any gunpla bcs I'm preparing my shelves and my money for HG Nightingale and RG Hi-Nu
RG Hi Nu looks quite fantastic mate
If the hg Kshatriya's, quibley or even the SD nightingale wingspans anything to go by you'll need a lot of space ( imagine my problems with not only the SD nightingale ,Kshatriya a few hg full armours " not built my pg unicorn full armour set yet " the gn arms E type, a narrative A pack ,a meteor unit and an almost completed dendrobium/orchis (all 97 cms of it) competing with a lot of hg rg mg pg SD kits 😵😱😍😍😍) I want/NEED a larger nightingale and neo zong in my collection along with the mega size kits 😭😭i needs bigger shelves but I'm having too much fun building to stop now
Better hold on for that rather then buy rg zaku ii.
Are you gonna do the RG RX-78-2 as well?
The Gunpla has better armour than the in universe Mobile suit. ( the Gunpla looks fantastic..)
I hope to see a 2.0 for the RX-78-2 RG and Zaku II CA or Green Zaku II.
......alright, now tell me the RG Zeta is underrated so i can buy one of those too
It actually is, I have it and have transformed it 16 times lmao, just handle with care and you'll be a-okay
So now I'm just feeling reminders about why I stick with HG. Cost effectiveness and durability. Well, at was interesting to look at, at least.
Try one just for kicks ( like a certain snack brand tagline says pop and you can't stop ,or as in another franchise gotta get them all ) I'm mad enough to build a second crossbone I got in the stash *even smaller parts* 😎🙌

Later, maybe.
My zaku can't hold weapons, the front skurts fall off all the time, and when put on a stand, can't hold I legs up, but maybe cuz it's a HMT and all that extra weight
I built this right before the RG granpa and gramps was the only build I've genuinely not enjoyed, this wasn't as bad, but the small parts and the loose skirt were definitively annoying
ERS is for straight straight builders. with a little effort, these "hand grenade kits" could be an action figure.
Hand granade kits call for battle damage weathering aka Wear and tear of usage
Why people complain about model kits being fragile and that they become flimsy and that the parts could fall apart. These are model kits. Not action figures.
I really want to buy the rg Jhonny ridden zaku so bad but the horror stories about that kit scared me lol
Fear is the mind killer , embrace the horror and overcome your fear ( buy it build it stick it on the shelf then gaze in wonder at what you have wrought unto the world😎)
My RG Gundam it's very fragile, but the RG really surprised me
It might be a hand grenade but it looks so good.
It really is not a handgranade once assembled. As long as you are not forcefull nothing will fall off.
Oh yeah, regarding the infamous RG inner frame, baby oil is your friend. Lubricate and flex the joints before assembly. Thank me later
does anyone know if JPfigures is a reliable website???
the pipe is a nightmare
It's not a toy intended to be played with. I usually find a pose and leave my kits for months until I clean or pose them again and because of that I've never had an issue with joints getting too loose. If someone wants something they can play with, they should get the Robot Damashii version. Those are cool too. The internet exaggerates almost everything.
My real grade Zaku ll and the char ver. Is still solid even though i built it years ago
Mine too.
You made a good decision by not playing around with it
@@shockbladezed1871 i mean i don't handle it like a monke
guess the same can be said about my RG Aile Strike, even though to this day i still pose the crap out of it, the only tightening work it needed was for the shoulder joints as the sword was too heavy
I think I'll stick to High Grades, seems just fine for me.
Did anyone have part C-5 for the left arm missing?? I’m going nuts try to find where it could be a the diagram and it’s just simply not there.
Can you do a development history of the Jegans?
Give it a couple of months, you'll feel the ERGS
Zaku origins, bro.
Ngl seeing how you handle the RG Zaku so patiently like a delicate piece it is, I would love to see your review on RG Zeta
we need a RG Zaku III
A rg always bulky zaku lll you mean 😙
"Stride" gundam?
how well/bad has this held up together after all this time?
Watch out for that shoulder tho!!!
Wow, that's a good looking Zaku. Your panel lining is really good as well. What do you use? Wait, did you use panel lining?
Working with the beads and tubing sucked
But good practice for the crossbone full cloth though ( even smaller parts ) planning to build my second one soon
