Wish you would've explained the steps in more detail 😕 and showed more. With the carpet as well. I have the same situation at the top of my steps thats carpeted and has a railing that needs a pony wall instead of the railing. I'm handy enough to do it but never done framing before or anything so the more details wouldv been better. Still a good video and it fits my project perfectly but not sure if I can wing it by just going off of this. What size threaded rod did you use and did you use washers? Did you bore the hole out halfway through the wood first so the nuts can sit flush with the surface? Or did you just make a hole for the threaded rod and tightened it until it went into the wood?

Thanks a lot man! I got the exact same setup and those rods look clutch… and “taut” 🤣
Good job. Going to attempt this tomorrow
Man you need a guard on the grinder
Hi thank you, az here as well,
Are those 2x4s??
I really hope that's not how you left the wall
Grinder with no guard is a bad look.
None of that work even needed to be done
I also wondered why all the trouble. I thought it was better with the rail.
