Here is a quick look at the all-new 2018 Honda Civic SI Coupe. with 205 horsepower and a 6-speed manual gearbox and 1.5T engine, this car is sure to impress. Don't count the Honda Civic SI out, it gets up and moves quick! This is the crystal black pearl color with all season tires. The interior features red accent stitching and the SI logo on the heavily bolstered thicker seats. Not exactly what you would find in the Honda Civic Type R but it's close. Push button start, smart key, 18 inch allow wheels, touch screen, apple car play, and Android auto are all standard as well.

I just bought one of these and i didn't even realize it did half this stuff. This car is amazing.
This car handles so well. I love driving it every day. Wish I could fix the rev hang and have the turbo kick in sooner with a tune from the Dealership. This is not available yet in Canada. I am not about to void my warranty.
My Warranty finish soon so im getting a K-tuner next spring for sure :D
If you keep it after the warranty is over you could modify it. I'm buying one used so I plan to put intake, headers, exhaust, custom tune, and some fun mods on it. If you already have it paid off and can afford another car, you should consider that! If you can't afford another car, you should probably avoid modifying it beyond upgrading the factory parts to things that are better for the engine.

Fantastically fun, quick, great handling, EXCELLENT mpg.....great combo of economy and FUN!! I get 37mpg even driving it hard, see 40mpg taking it ez.
Need more power? Buy a Type R but the SI is the BEST daily driver for $24,000!!!
The Type R is too cartoonish, garish looking for me.
Congrats! FYI you can use a Hondata tune to flash the ECU and get more power out of your SI. Around $695 and still under Honda Warranty.

No thanks.....the Honda clutches are soft and will slip if u tune the motor. I dont want to pay to upgrade the clutch.

Also, the tires will slip more going from first and second, right?
The guy stated no CD Player but you have a nice touch screen as a cancellation prize. YAH! lol
I've been in the market for one of these and was wondering what type of fuel you put in it. I know the owner's manual states that the car should receive premium, but can it take regular? Furthermore, I think the car has a knock sensor that changes the ignition timing caused by the difference in the fuel quality. Still, I would like to eliminate knocking altogether to preserve the engine.

Last week my Honda dealer gave me very bad news: The coupe is discontinued in north America (Si, Touring, Sport and all the other trims) 2020 is the last year of civic 2 doors production! Lucky I got my 2020 early this Year. Good bye Civic Coupe THE BEST 2 DOOR EVER!

Fr I’m not a fan of how stubby the back looks, also trunk space is smaller because of it if they had kept with the older back shape but added the brake lights and all the new styling it would be perfect

Is this a good car to learn manual in?
Yes and no. It's got a great shifter and clutch that feel like it makes it easy but 1st gear is very short and you need to shift into second faster than other cars. That's not really the most ideal for people wanting to learn, unless you are a fast learner
I would recommend maybe a civic lx or sport in manual first. Good luck!
Yes.. But you must go easy on the throttle. It will surprise you from 1-2 gear. Practice just easing off the clutch ever so softly (hardly no acceleration) and cruise in 1st for a while. (open parking lot recommended) then shift to second. Smoothly, don't be aggressive with it. I made that mistake in the beginning. Be patient and you'll soon be ripping the streets in a Sporty eco box going on nearly 11 generations!
@@gearedtowardsautomotive lol, WHAT? The si has barely 200hp, that's perfect for a beginner, that is a very small amount of power.
@@RyGuyTheAVGuy it's not about too much power. it's just got a really weird clutch. I test drove one an hour ago and that was a deal breaker. I have a Honda accord and an acura both in manual. this SI handles really great. but the clutch is super weird. just my opinion tho.
Hint/hint: It would be great if Honda offered a 2.4L I-4 Fuel Injected 201 HP engine w/180 ft. lbs. torque @ 3600 RPM for their Civic Si Sport Coupe, call it the "Plus", and the slick 6-speed stick shift. Give me a analog tachometer + matching speedometer and a real hand brake. Ditch the cheesy plastic scoops (ugh!). I would buy it now. K.I.S.S. Turbo, not so much.

Electronic dampening on a 24k car is unreal.

The armrest in the middle and doors both have terrible fabric.
American Model NO spare tire.
The engine is detuned VERY hard, but thats a easy fix with Hondata/Ktuner.
No led lighting in American model.
The chrome over both sides the vehicles door is out of place and and looks ugly as fuck.
Infotainment touchscreen system to be quite frank is shit... its a OLD version of android.
The transmission is super rough, even broke in its still has a Notchy feel.
On the other not its super fresh, sleek, and fast. I believe its a right step in the right direction. The turbo is nice, its torque is undeniably better then prior gens. Mods are super easy. Im reading in 2020 we will see more vtech and bigger motors on turbos for SI possibly.
