When my piggies were in a hutch in our outhouse last winter and the temperature really dropped we used loads of hay as insulation. Then my hubby bought an electric heat pad, I made it a fleece cover, and he wired it up for them. Worked like a charm! However, shortly after that I insisted they were housed indoors and they now have a 3x4 C&C cage. They go out in the hutch in the garden in the summer and have a massive run on the lawn to chase each other in. The best of both worlds.

Just put tuques on them
First time ever keeping my piggies indoors. I didn't realise how much I missed. They are so funny.
I have Guinea pigs and they live outside in a hutch but they also have a run to play in but we have no choice we have no space to have them inside but they do have fleece and beds so they are warm
Hats!
