- The areas introduced in the Bad Seed DLC released in February of 2020, the Dilapidated Arboretum, the Morass of the Banished, and the Nest, came with new lore to ground the biomes in the world of the game. Let's take some time and go over the stories of these new areas.

Actually I think the reason Mama Tick grew so large is because of the Banished. Because they sacrificed Banished to the Mama Tick, it would therefore get more food and become even stronger than the other ticks. At least that’s my theory for why it’s so drastically different from the other ticks.
I think that's a very valid one! Personally, I think it's kind of unsaid whether the ticks were already large before the malaise, at least explicitly. Since there wasn't anything that said so, I went with the idea that the ticks were transformed just like other creatures on the island, but your theory could be just as right as mine, and the ticks were kind of like fish where they just keep endlessly growing as they age and the Religion of the Banished could have been going on for a long long time.

@@SquatchGamingChannel Thanks! Btw I’d assume they were pretty small before the Malaise, considering the smallest ticks we see only seem to be about two feet in size.

@@lemonplayz40322 years late I know but "The smallest ticks we see seem to be around 2 ft-" ... I used to think I'd love to see some of the island in person but if that's what counts as a normal tick for them then I think I'll happily stay on this side of the screen

Edit: The newest DLC, Fatal Falls, has revealed some information that changes the ending to the Gardener's story mentioned in this video, so that portion of the video is out of date and incorrect. I'll be making a video for Fatal Falls (eventually) where the correct story will be told (hopefully). Everything else in this still holds up though! Thanks for watching and I hope you enjoyed!

It seems that some of the lore introduced with Fatal Falls contradicts bits from this video, like the identity of the gardener. it seems like there was a Royal Gardener, and then perhaps other gardeners were working there too, one of them being the hanged corpse.
I’m still picking through things so I’m not 100% certain on things, but on the whole, I agree
I kind of have a theory that it’s not the Gardener in the DLC, but Tom, the mushroom merchant or whoever from the Prisoner’s Quarters; that’s partly because the character from the DLC has an association with Mushrooms and because I don’t want the info from this video to be wrong. Haha.

There’s 4 questions and that have yet to be answered
1.whats the origin to the maleise?
2. If so many figured out the water was contaminated than where was the effort in filtering the water?
3. Why were the cells that led to making the supersonic found in the bodies of the infected?
4. What’s the scientific analysis by an epidemiologist on this disease?
I think the malaise is kind of a cancer which make te infected grow tumors which take real form and become hostile to anything that isn’t them
1. Mentioned in the first one. We don't know for sure, but it 'floods' through the 'veins' of the slumbering sanctuary. For me this seems like some power that needs to be contained, which the sanctuary did up to a certain point, before it was forgotten and left behind (own theory though').
2. they figured out too late. And not too many figured out, only a hand ful. Also, then the malaise also spread in other ways as an infection.
3. the cells are the form of life left over in the bodies (see his first video: the panacea, the essence the alchemist is working on, needs the essence of pure life)
@@danielsomogyi1895 yep. no one knew what was infecting the water supply, and even fewer knew how to stop it. it’s evident that the sap from the slumbering sanctuary leaked into the pipes in the ancient sewers and therefore the toxic sewers too, and those pipes eventually lead to the morass of the banished.

I like these I really do. As much as I love games like Hotline Miami and dead cells I'm aware that I probably do not have this amount of stubbornness to bother trying to go through them to beat them 100% so I'm glad that these videos exist so I can get the story I'd miss from not being the game and still being able to enjoy the game itself in the way that I do

At 2:52, it looks like a "healthy" man emerges and seems to be one with nature. I'm getting the vibe that with enough DLCs, we'll see that the malaise is actually a cleanse for the island - and that it is the cure! [I'm well aware that the panacea also cures the malaise, but mine sounds better!]

Didn’t even realize they announced a Release Date and released a trailer! Looks very interesting; although, I’m getting Gardener vibes from that boss at the end! Lol.
Maybe all the info I just shared in this video about the Gardener will be wrong and Fatal Falls will show what really happened to him!

hey! i started playing dead cells and after a while i buought a dlc and i dont know how to imply it to my already existing save file. do i have to beat the game first or meaby i have to start a new save file? please someone tell me what i have to do.(im playing on xbox)
On the PC version, there’s an option to check installed DLCs on the Main Menu. Not sure if it’s the same on Xbox, but it might be. If the DLC is installed, then the biomes will become available to enter.
The entrance to the Arboretum is in the Prisoner’s Quarters after a Teleportation Totem, so you’ll need the Teleportation Rune to reach it.

I agree with your point but It should make for a new breath for you and for the channel with its vastly big and liked world and also a new sequel is around the corner.
In my opinion you have the ability to capture the lore and get the viewer hooked listening to it.

Haha. It doesn't add much! I don't really use the items or go through the biomes in my runs.
The only bonus it has is that Mama Tick's fight is in a puddle of water, so if you use shock weapons, you're always hitting her with critical hits, so that can make the fight a little easier.
