You guys look like you were on yer way to visit Frodo in Mordor but got lost in the Scottish highlands and decided that was where you were meant to be anyway. Love you guys and this channel.
Neat! I used tae dae this sort of thing a wee bit, but not quite with the level of historic accuracy. I'd usually have a bivvy as well as wool blankets, drank mostly from streams (but had purifying tablets just in-case the water available wasn't good) a wee hipflask of whisky and a bunch of oats, butter, oil, salt, pepper, some honey and cinnamon if I was feeling fancy, and a few apples. Great fun just going for a light-weight adventure over a few munroes! Interesting to learn that a double-plaid is quite effective on its own, though I might be a bit auld for that now, think I'll keep a bivvy handy, I like being dry! 😅 Perhaps one day you'll try a winter expedition with support for safety? Obviously the drovers would be up the hills in the warmer months, mostly, but would be interesting to see how you fare and what you need to manage in winter. Years ago on a more ordinary winter hiking and bothying expedition, we missed our window due to snow on the train tracks heading up to Aviemore, as a result we lost the light before getting to our bothy and had to seek an emergency one in a snow storm! Bit harrowing, but we made it, lol.
Can we all just take a moment to acknowledge just how hard-core these guys are. Most people will not walk the dog across a playing field without full gortex gear and modern boots on, these guys are another level. Hats off and thanks for posting.
A very welcome piece of pure "once upon a time" Scottish life. Thanks for shooting and sharing the video. Cheers from Italy (one of the many places in the world that deeply love Scotland)
Always happy to see a new video from this channel. Some of the best creators coming together to make some truly outstanding work. Keep taking care about nature.
Oh my. This is fantastic. I think im going to have to save this and watch it on the telly. I just had a trip cancelled to the gallaway forest. The roads in had flooded 😢
Rest easy king just now read a post about u in fb man!! We miss u king u will always be remembered for ur adventure ❤ love u man its been 11long months missing u
Great video, very cool - my two favourite wilderness channels coming together! But where is Dylan? You must take him with you next time - and bring Jaeger too :)
That's so funny that this episode just came out. I just got home wearing my great kilt all day today. Went out and about did some things with friends. Went out and had dinner. All wearing my great kilt. That's so bloody cool. Now I get to watch this episode with kilts. I love my great killed. If you don't have a great kilt yet. Save up the money and get one. It's definitely worth it. It was a cold and wet day today. And my great kilt did not fail me and keeping me warm and dry. The rest of the time I have my great kilt folded up at the foot of my bed. And my girlfriend uses it to stay warm at night. Such a great piece of kit
Hey dude Holly molly I keep watching your video way back before covid, I was born in Manila the capital of 🇵🇭 and yow because of your vid I can survive pretty sure where I go specially in the woods
Ok, I’ll watch this video, but only with the assurance there’ll be absolutely no "upskirt" shots. 😂 Ok, so I watched it, and it was a good video. I think for the drovers of old a night of rain wouldn’t be so bad, it would be a few days of rain that would be tough.
Great video and I love the banter. Most videos are mainly teaching skills which is good but this is better. One question, don't your bare feet get cold and isn't there a good chance of injury? I'm from Arkansas and as a lad, I usually went barefoot all summer and after the first week the soles of my feet were quite tough but I would not have tried going barefoot in the winter or out in the woods.
I go barefoot in the winter all the time while walking along the coast of South Wales. My feet feel a bit cold for the first ten minutes or so. Then the blood starts pumping to them and they feel warm, even when wet.
Great video. My friends and I do historical camping as well here in the Eastern woodlands of the US. We primarily do 18th century, 1770's. Sometimes go hunting with the muskets and tomahawks. Is the pistol a replica? Not sure what the primitive firearms laws are in Scotland.
Wonderfully informative, interesting, and adventurous presentations; and would be even better if English was used sparingly, and the true language of the Gael spoken (with English subtitles). Mòran taing!
2393 👍✌️😇🍀🙏‼️👈 my like, I haven't been here for a long time, you once stopped sending videos and I really regretted it, but then I came in and saw your new videos and sent them to one of my friends, he was probably also from your area once
Beautifully edited man! You tell a good story and capture the vibes and banter perfectly! Here's to more adventures!
Fandabi the Man;) Thanks ouwe, see you around!

I love the rolling ring
Makes me cry from laughter and sadness;)
@@SmoothGefixt popcorn 🍿 finished, but works now, so new box and bear 🐻
The Highlands is the anvil of the hard men of the ancestors that continues to give birth to the likes of the SAS.

Is your channel finished ? No more vids 😢
What is the accent you have, awesome channel, binge watching now for 12 hrs
26:02 what was that transition midsentence ??? ^^

So crazy…the inability to have fire on demand would kill me! I camp in a heavily forested area, plenty of water as well. So brutal!
It was harder this time than the video showed to be honest. Practice makes you better:)
@@SmoothGefixt Love both your channels, thanks!
such beautiful views, when do you think it was last forested? or, was it ever? I can feel a RUclips rabbit hole coming on haha, awesome video =D
Fandabi addresses it a little in his video. Check it out!;) Decline started slowly since about 5000 year ago.
Tôi rất thích video của bạn
WHERE ARE YOU BROS!?!?!
We need more videos bros
Looking like a clip from lord of the rings
