FYI: If you do not soak your small tapioca pearls, please make sure your water is BOILING before you add them to the water without the soak. So it stays as a ball, if the water is NOT boiling when adding them to the water fresh from the package, they will become a ruined mess. Cook until translucent. Also, coconut milk is a great substitute

I substituted the whole milk for coconut milk and the sugars for coconut sugar and monk fruit and it turned out DELICIOUS!! Thank you so much!

In srilanka we call it savu and instead of whole milk we add coconut milk, little bit of cardamom And jaggery for sweetness. Best in the world! 😍😍😍

The easiest way to make Tapioca pudding in to use a double boiler
eliminating the need to stir constantly, you can use a higher heat.

Love tapioca pudding, which is weird because I can't handle other puddings that has lumps in it. I top with a dollop of whip cream because of course it isn't already rich enough!

Indians make a very similar dessert with tapiocas. its called Kheer in Hindi. The only difference is we dont add eggs and vanilla to it and we add saffron and cardamom. its very delicious. we also use it in savory cooking. sautee some onions chillis curry leaves and spices and add the tapioca and salt and garnish with fresh cilantro.
