If you're ONLY looking at money, sure. When an entire life has been dedicated to one singular [insert important thing to you] and then you suddenly wake up one day and that's gone, that's a pretty easy situation to lose sleep over. I don't feel bad for Bill and I've hated him since he took over in NE, but I won't hand-wave his life's dedication and success to the sport by simply reducing it down to a retarded "BuT YUh GoTz MoHniEEs".

I've been a Raiders fan since the 1980's so I'm no Patriots fan but I would have to say Belichick has been the best coach in football in the 2000's. 6 Superbowls, wow. I realize Brady is partly responsible but you have to give Belichick his due. I believe he'll be back in football next year as there are so many sub-par coaches in the league.

Think about it the way he drafts, trade, spend etc control all of the antics wouldn’t fly if he didn’t have Tom. You wouldn’t think he’s the best coach around if not for Tom. I’m sorry all of the non sense around Bill worked because he had Tom in the building because you have Tom you can win. It’s to much shady practices with Bill and I’ve never really understood all the awkwardness for no given reason. Agree Dynasty wasn’t balanced and fair to Belichick. However, today’s players are not receptive to being coached by a dictatorial coach plus BB would be at most a 2 year coach …and of course, Bill’s relationship with any owner would be a question-mark. So there were too many intangible negatives for BB.

Whether you like belicheck or not, he was very successful as the patriot hc and is very knowledgeable about all aspects of the game. Obviously brady was a huge factor for him, but he was a huge factor for brady as well. Im not a fan of him in the least bit, but if you look into some of the things he did in regards to manipulation of the clock, having i think 5 pass plays in a win and so much other things. Hes probably the only and last nfl coach that can run his team in such a strict type of way like he did. Hes abrasive and an asshole but his players respected and played their asses off for him. He is who he is. The wannabe belicheks like dude that was with the raiders try to run the ship like bill but dont get respect and just look like pricks. Bill could do it because it wasn't some character he played, it was him and people rode with him. I woulda loved fir him to come coach Dallas defense.
