Thanks for all the info !! 💕
This link doesn’t work, where can I find the pattern? Help please 😅
@@thisjustin5043 it's on my channel :)
@@HookedbyRobin thank you so much for responding! All I could find was the “short” when I looked. I’m an elder millennial but I feel like I’m 110. 😭🤣 I’ll try to find it again.
@@HookedbyRobin oh gosh, I went to your channel and found it right away this time. 😅🤦🏻♀️ sorry and thanks again!! 💖
Also another tip........ double up on yarn! This is what I do lol. Sometimes you never know how big the difference is going to be! It's a surprise! ☺
😅
Great Tip!! Sometimes its easier to get it tighter than the super bulky velour yarns.
How do you double up on yarn?
@@Lils.batcave just use two pieces of yarn as if it were one 👍
so you mean to almost double the length of the original amount needed for the “original” smaller sized ones ? 😭
I accidentally discovered this 'trick' when I ended up with a jellyfish 10 times bigger than my trial one 😅
hahaha
Must have been a WHOLE bag of polyfil for the big one!!!!
😂 it took LOADS omg lol
Pvv 0. P0pppppp 0 p p.
if you tear it up and fluff it you can get a little more milage out of polyfill. You've gotta be patient enough to keep "tearing" and fluffing thought.
@@absolutelydegenerate1900but then j squish it snd it goes toegther and then rheres not enough inside
@@HookedbyRobin this is why i stick to small projects
Thank you so much!!😊 this is so helpful because sometimes I struggle upscaling some designs, but I never really thought to change the yarn and the hook.😁 You are amazing
This is an easy cheat! 😀
@@HookedbyRobin halo, I hope you will reply to me as soon as possible. I try to make a big bunny with bulky yarn and original pattern (which is small bunny). But, the head of my bunny don't look good, instead of "CIRCLE" it looks like "RECTANGLE"🤣🤣🤣
This is how I taught myself amigurumi. I used blanket yarn and a ig hook!
I actually like acrylic yarn over chenille, so I double or triple yarn sometimes. You can also scale up the pattern... But you should only do that if you're well-versed enough to write your own patterns.
I’m trying to do the big chunky one but I’m having trouble seeing where the stitches are...😅 But I’m trying my best!! Oh and btw I’ve made an octopus like a month ago!! It turned out sooo good, thank you for the tutorial!!
You have to feel the V shape with your fingers
I love how the yarns called ‘super chunky’
😃🧶
This was the same way I made my scarf so much faster! Cool to know that this applies with other projects as well
Love it ! This octopus is adorable btw 💕
😃🐙
I was literally about to send you this and ask if you made little octopuses too, but it was you that posted lol!! P. S super cute
😅
my Tako chan lives in Tokyo since Monday. His mom loves him. She says he's therapeutic :)
🥰🐙
Can you crohet a unicorn 🦄
but what if i want the same texture and look for both? cuz i don’t like how the yarn is noticeably different.
This actually helps A TON, thank you
You are very welcome! So glad it's helpful!
THANK YOU
I've been desperately looking for somthing that would use 3 balls of bernat blanket yarn (I was dumb and didnt realize how much yardage you actually needed for a blanket!) This is perfeeeeeect!! Thank you ♡
Better to buy too much though than not enough! 😊
I haven't done this for amigurumi, but I've done it when crocheting and it rings true. When you do the same patterns, but with different yarn and/or different hook size. The project does get larger😋.
Exactly Nya-Lin.😃🧶
Love these octopus variations
Thank you for your easy and wonderful tip
OMG your giant octopus is so flipping cute!!
He's HUGE and really heavy too 😂🐙
I have a question, if I bought one ball of big fluffy yarn, would that be enough for the big octopus?
I used 2 and a half balls of the SUPER fat yarn (the Cygnet Scrumpaclious) with a 9mm Hook - for the 2 smaller ones, 1 ball is enough 🙂
Thanks!
Can you do a tutorial on how to crochet a amigurumi Apple that would mean so much and thank you ☺️😃
This worked wonders I made a pattern with Bernat blanked yarn and it was HUGE with the recommended hook and I just decided to try to go down three sizes and it came out perfect!
Yay! Amazing. 😃🐙
You can also change how big the starter circle is and how many times you increase your circle
🐙
Finally someone else who uses flutterby yarn!! It is so soft and lovely to use ❤
It is, perfect for Amigurumi!😃🐙
Finally someone that uses flutterby yarn. Its so good
It is!😃🧶
I like the big one most! But it probably took a lot of fill so i might just make the middle one instead
Still just as cute! 😃🐳
@@HookedbyRobin :)

How much yarn grams did it take to make the medium one ?
Octopus so Cute!!! So going to make these for my 2 daughters, & my God daughters son & my Baby Cousin's too! Thank you for sharing this!! ❤🥰🐙❤😍
thank you this was very helpful
You're so welcome! 😃
So helpful! Ty! Btw… that’s adorbzzz!
Thank you! 🥰 The biggest one is: 2 and a half balls of Cygnet Scrumpaclious with a 9mm Hook.
Very Beautiful 🌹⚘👍👍
What size crochet hook should I use for super chunky yarn? It states a 10-12mm one, so should I use 8mm or 8.5mm crochet hook or another size? I know a smaller size is preferable for crocheting, but I don’t know how much smaller to go. Love the vids too though 💚.
Very nice 👌
I'm curious when you do the largest size, what size eyes do you use?
Hi Traci, I can’t remember off the top of my head I’m afraid but you can use any size. No right or wrong.😃🐙
Make the next video on where to buy it!!!
You can make your own!😀 I think some people sell them on Etsy too.
A LIFESAVER is what you are!!! I've got an octo pattern but I've only got jumbo yarn (& I'm fresh out of patience to find the *exact* yarn it recommends LOL), let's see how big this baby can be!! 😅 *someone send help* 😮❤😅
Let me know how big you make it Brooke!😃
amazing..cute
Is one roll of yarn enough for the largest size??
Hi, Largest octopus: 2 and a half balls of Cygnet Scrumpaclious with a 9mm Hook.🐙
