    Goodness, Steve. You are a real treasure. I always wanted to hear a conversation between you and Dr. Heiser before he passed. Not a debate, just a conversation. Stay safe and thanks for continuing to do what you do.

    Again..Steve Gregg wipes the floor with these guys…Steve comes across humbly and the others come across arrogant..I mean to keep throwing out “I am reading from my 1611 KJV..” like what english translation of the Bible u read from some how makes ur argument stronger..just the arrogance. Loved Steve’s comment about having read 50 commentaries on Revelation..just classic!! Only Steve can say something like that and it not sound arrogant..😂

    I'm near the end of this video and I have to say the more I hear Calvinists and dispensationalists describe Jesus, the HS, and salvation, the more I am beginning to think they must believe in another Jesus, spirit and gospel.
    It seems in many of their descriptions of Jesus that He was cut short of what He came to do and was basically rendered powerless *because* the majority of the Jews rejected Him. And therefore, His authority and power in the Church today(His body) is also useless and has no power in the Spirit of God..
    WHAT kind of doctrine is this line of thinking??

      @benjaminhoward4630 4 месяца назад +2

      The point about Nero rising from the dead blind sided me, I've never heard someone claim it before. Pheelan is something of a sensationalist with click bait titles such as, "are all Preterists going to Hell?" Considering the knowledge he claims to have, it has to be intentional. It's odd to watch these debates where people accuse Steve of importing theology into the text, when he consistently displays a more thorough working knowledge of the actual word of God. I've seen other amillennial apologists in the same ballpark, but rarely if ever amongst Dispensationalists. It's not my intention to slam them, but it's not something I've witnessed.

    The Bible’s Old Testament and Revelation 20 speak of the Millennium Kingdom Reign of Jesus Christ yet there is a growing number of Christians (Voddie Baucham, Steve Gregg, RC Sproul) abandoning it for Amillenialism (no millennium).

    • @rocketmanshawn

      Half that list are post-mill proponents.
      Amill is an unfortunate misnomer, as they believe the Millennium is now. Christ and his saints reigning from Heaven now. Until new creation is established at His return.

      By no millennium, you do mean an indeterminate time period between Christ's death on the cross and His second coming in glory, right? It's similar to people throwing the specter of replacement theology, it's what happens when a person cannot make a substantive argument towards an actual position and has to get creative.

    • @Landis_Grant
      @Landis_Grant 4 месяца назад +1

      @@TheNarrowPath Amilennialists reject the view that Jesus Christ will physically reign on the Earth for exactly one thousand years. Rather, they interpret the "thousand years" mentioned in Revelation 20 as a symbolic number, not as a literal duration of time. Amillennialists hold that the millennium has already begun and is simultaneous with the current church age.
      Me: Any reign of Jesus Christ less than 1,000 years = no millennium as millennium equals 1,000.

    Amil is nonsense. The church got it from Augustine. How can you allegorize thIs:
    'Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested and for ten days you will have tribulation." Rev 2:10
    Allegory should only be used when it's obvious. When you say Jesus isn't a literal lamb, your belief system already lost.
    At what other time in history would this church be persecuted by the government other than by the Romans?
    Amil is nonsense

      Jesus said he’d raise his people on the last day..not on the last day. But then 1000 more years. Then eternity. He said last day. Just like Daniel was told seal up the prophecy. The time is not yet. John is given revelation. Told don’t seal it up the time is near. So not yet was 4-500 some odd years. But near means 2000+. It’s illogical. Daniel’s 70th week. The Bible never says but the count will stop for a long time then beggin again. It say 70 weeks. However many years it actually is. 400 some odd years. I’m not able to cite verses off the top of my head like Steve is but you know the scripture. It says what it say. Revelations doesn’t say the antichrist will do anything because the antichrist isn’t a person. Antichrist is against Christ. Like the apostate Jews. Like all the Jews that went their own ways. Ya know the big problem in ALL of the OT? The Jews just constantly screwing it up? Pretty anti christ. Rejecting Jesus. Pretty anti christ. Revaluation does talk about an end to sacrifices Jesus did put an end to sacrifices. Defeated death and Satan. After 3 1/2 years of ministry. But the sacrifices went on for 40 years or so until the temple was destroyed. Yea. And Hebrews is a book entirely written to Hebrew Christian’s about not going back to the animal sacrifice because Jesus made them not only unnecessary because his sacrifice is so much better but it would now be sin to go back. So they may have continued. Against Christ. Pretty anti christ. Pretty harlet church of the 2nd temple Jews that rejected Christ. Jesus said no stone will be left a top another. No temple is left. Biblical Judaism is impossible and has been since then. And has been wrong to practice since the crucifixion considering to be a Jew and participate in ceremonial sacrifice would be antithetical to the sacrifice of Christ it’s no longer the right way. It’s now the wrong way. But they wanted their religion. Not Christ. So exactly as the Lord said. The temple is gone. Biblical Judaism is gone. The harlot church. No longer exists. Anti Christ ideology does. But the harlot church does not. Only the modern mess they’ve kept going that is rabbinic/Talmudic Judaism which isn’t what Jesus David Moses or any of them practiced. Satan and death are defeated by Christ. Sounds pretty much like revelation to me. I suggest listening to more of Steve’s lectures on the topic. You’ll come to find its illogical to read the scripture any other way. We’re taught about a future apocalypse then reading the word we read it in ways that lead us to say oh look there it is. But when you don’t read the Bible with any pre conceived notions. You’ll find dispensationalism/futurism. Just isn’t there. Listen to Steve’s lectures. It’s pretty irrefutable when you get in to it. He doesn’t say I’m right believe me. He shows what the text says and how other popular interpretations don’t actually add up when you take them to their ends. It requires gymnastics and circular logic to work out. Bible literacy is just a hot topic in the argument. The people saying we spiritualize the text too much do want to accept that far more of what’s said isn’t literal than they think. Like Steve mention. A day is AS 1000 years. Or is LIKE 1000 years. It’s a metaphor. It’s not a 1/1000 ratio. Or the Hebrew roots people. The sabbath for 1000 generations. Not literal 1000. Forever and ever. In Hebrew it’s olam. Means a long time. For generations to come. Long time. Long while. Listen to more of Steve’s work. Debate his points and tell us if you can prove otherwise.
