Serbia sent not one but two stars to this year's Eurovision Song Contest - the young and talented singer Milan Stanković and the musical maestro Goran Bregović. It paid off and once again, they were qualified for the Final, finishing 13th.
Who are they?
Milan Stanković shot to fame from a Pop Idol-like contest in Serbia. The 22-year-old star achieved victory at almost every stage of the contest back in 2007. Since that year he's become very successful, known for his eccentric dressing style and distinctive looks.
His debut album, Solo, sold quickly 50,000 copies and brought him a lot of fans. He leaves no one indifferent - some love him, others challenge his fame. But one thing is certain - the media and the fans follow closely his every step.
His song was written by the renowned composer Goran Bregović. He's been called the founding father of Yugoslav rock scene. Besides being very successful in music, he's also a famous film director, having received many prestigious awards. His song Djurdjevdan, as well as some other of his compositions, are known in the history of film as a light motive from the cult film Borat.
He's also composed music for theatre and has even written an opera, called Karmen with a Happy Ending. Until now it has been performed more than 150 times in metropolis all over the world.
Goran Bregović is an honorary citizen of Buenos Aires, Athens and Tirana. He was also granted an honorary doctorate by the British University of Sheffield.

No one has performed with such happiness that MILAN ever! To dance and sing at the same time to cope with so many emotions. It's a phenomenal thing!.. Just who was there on stage ESC can understand and know what real performance!..HOPE someday he will talk about this !... He won our hearts with his awesome ,OVO JE BALKAN!

Serbian is beautifull language. It is hard(i dont want to scary u) but its very nice. Grammar is really hard for other countries and we (for example) can say one word on 100 ways. That is really good to u want to learn it. I can say its beautifull and good luck!

Nina won the Voice of Croatia and bc of that she was representing Croatia on ESC. I agree they both are great singers but there were much much better singers for ESC as like as my country Bosnia. Our entry wasnt good this year. Not even ever haha.

It all started with this Blond who come on stage with a jump and then I didn’t take my eyes from the TV and when I saw his smile I was with heart at him. He danced and sang with such ease and joy I haven’t seen anyone.I knew that emotions are high on stage and you have to be very good indeed that you can succeed in 3 minutes to conquer the public.He did it ! In the next minute I opened immediately the Internet and I came to search: MILAN STANKOVIC....This started!
